My husband received bilateral knee replacements from Dr. Enker in 2008. I am happy to say he is doing great 11 years later. Dr. Paul Enker is a great surgeon and wonderful human being. He most assuredly changed my husband's life for the better. Thanks Dr. Enker from Mildred and Richard Simmons

It is one year [Dec 18 2020] since I had successful total hip replacement surgery performed by Dr. Paul Enker. He is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him. From the very first visit, he took as much time with me as I needed to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. He has an outstanding record of successful anterior approach surgeries and was a pioneer in this practice on Long Island. The surgery was performed at Northwell Syosset Orthopedic hopsital where I received excellent care. Post op I was able to manage pain with Tylenol - I never needed narcotic pain killers - and with physical therapy from Stars PT in Glen Cove, in a very short time I was walking without assistance of a walker or cane. Dr. Enker did both my knees, when no one else would. I am a woman with a high BMI and all the other orthopedists turned me down for knee surgery. Dr. Enker was fantastic and he genuinely cares about his patients. He personally came to see me several times for follow up visits in the hospital. Most of the other orthopedists never do this. Dr. Enker replaced my left hip and I was up and walking right after surgery. His bedside manners are superb and he ensures that you get the best care while in the hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Enker for hip replacement, I give him a 10.

This was my 4th surgery, I was in constant pain. I had the cage L4L5. Although I developed post op bilat pnuemonia, I eventually healed. It was the first time I was without pain. I will soon be 73, take vitamins, probiotics,Q10 100mg that helps me stay younger, NO prescription meds very healthy and enjoying being a nurse case manager in home care. I want to let Dr Enker know going to Ohio saved me I encourage clients to trust in this surgery, I occasionally take a muscle relaxer because I do anything I want. Imagine you have so much pain in your hip that you can’t leave your house! You have the added problem of being overweight. That was me 5 weeks ago until I met with Dr. Enker. He agreed immediately to do a total hip replacement surgery after taking x-rays and talking to me. He does a “skin check” appointment a few days before surgery with good reason. I passed that appointment yet once checked into the hospital he found a rash in my groin area and said surgery would not be advised until rash was cleared up. Very understanding about my disappointment but I rescheduled, had the surgery 5 weeks and woke up pain free! What an amazing, highly skilled doctor.

My first anterior hip surgery was successful. My second hip surgery was not, and I ended up with a fractured femur and required additional surgery. That surgery was a nightmare , could not be completed successfully. He could not get the implant in all of the way and I am left with one leg over an inch longer than the other, the hip starts to dislocate whenever I start to bend forward, and if I am not standing up straight, I cannot pick up my foot. Yes, he's nice and experienced, but beware of what can happen. I have been left crippled and I cannot have any more corrective surgery on that hip.

Dr. Enker was a godsend. On a scale from 1 to 10, hands down he is a 12. I have no regrets.

Dr. Irwin Paul Enker is a BAD doctor. He refused to do surgery on my broken arm. He referred me to his colleague, Dr. Baruch Toledano, who also refused to do the surgery. The broken arm had shown on the X-ray and MRI. Finally, after 11 days, Dr. Steinvurzel did my surgery at Glen Cove hospital. Dr. Steinvurzel was a good doctor. Dr. Enker replaced my hip 6 years ago when other orthopedics refused because I was too young and have osteogenesis imperfecta. I was terrified, in excruciating pain and hit a wall until he assured me he would do his best. I had the new inversion table procedure, and healed well. The thing that struck me the most was Dr. Enker came to see me in rehab, I’ve never heard of a doctor doing that. I found his bedside manner exceptional and enjoyed our conversations immensely. Excellent surgeon, excellent surgical team, excellent office staff. I had my left hip replaced via the anterior approach. The recovery was quick and the experience much better than expected. I highly recommend Dr Enker.

My husband had been in terrible pain for months prior to his hip replacement surgery. Dr. Enker was a miracle worker! Both he and his patient coordinator, Falguni Patel, were kind, caring, and spent a great deal of time explaining what to expect. We can’t thank the doctor enough for giving my husband his quality of life back.

This doctor is good however his staff really sucks I call their office and can never get a hold of anyone leave messages no one returns my calls I had to call and remind them to send medication they were suppose to send to the pharmacy it was suppose to take 2 days to get authorization for an mri for my knee and never got back to me I call back a week later no answer no replies and not even a courtesy call to acknowledge me and alert me if something went wrong during authorization never returning for any service again This doctor is good however his staff really sucks I call their office and can never get a hold of anyone leave messages no one returns my calls I had to call and remind them to send medication they were suppose to send to the pharmacy it … More

Dr. Enker is one-of-a-kind doctor! He deeply cares about his patients in a way that is rare these days. I was struggling so much when I met him. I had seen other Dr's but no one was willing to take my case because of my weight. Dr. Enker realized that I needed this surgery in order to function. He did my knee replacements and he personally came to see me every day after. Many surgeons just send a staff member and never see their patient after surgery. If not for Dr. Enker, I would gave been wheelchair bound eight years ago and unable to teach or enjoy the freedom and independence that new knees can bring. Knowledgeable doctor but staff doesn’t do a great job in communication. Never got back to me for authorization for MRI and never sent meds to pharmacy I had to call them to remind them to send it. They never answer the phones and take to long to respond back to anything never returning to this office again

Dr. Enker performed my hip replacement on 6/21/2018 and I will forever be grateful to him. He truly is a physician who cares about his patients. From my first visit I knew Dr. Enker was the most skilled surgeon I met (I went for several opinions before seeing him). The day of my surgery, he made me feel so confident that I was in good hands. Every fear I had, he put to rest. Five weeks later I have never felt so good. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Enker for giving me my life back.

Had L-hip replacement 1/23 via anterior method with Dr. Enker. That was 6 weeks ago. I am no longer using a cane and am pain free thanks to Dr. Enker!!!!

I met Dr Enker after he operated on my dad’s hip. Since then I’ve had my hip replaced, a total knee replacement and my husband’s hip replacement which all were done with awesome success. I referred Dr Enker to 3 different people for three different knees and one hip replacement and they were all extremely happy with his work. He’s also got the best Bed side manor of any doctor I’ve met!!!!!

Dr. Enker replaced my left hip on October 6, 2017 (anterior method). I was in so much pain before surgery that I had to use a walker. When I met with Dr. Enker he listened to me, explained everything and answered all my questions. The afternoon of my surgery Physical Therapy had me up and walking with NO PAIN! Two weeks after my surgery I was walking on my own without a cane and no pain. Thank you Dr. Enker I am grateful.

Dr. Enker was recommended by my wife. A nurse's husband that she works with had Hip Replacement by Dr. Enker. After meeting him I was amazed how well he walked. I decided I wanted Dr. Enker to do my Hip Replacement. From the first time I met him his Professional and Genuine Personality made it easy to decide. From the beginning to the end of my Hip Replacement Operation I was AMAZED. I was up walking almost immediately. Unbelievable quick recovery. Best of all NO MORE PAIN. Thank you Dr. Enker.

I am so very happy with the outcome of my HIP replacement done by Dr. Paul Enker and his team I just wanted to share the information. I am without pain, home walking and driving in just 2 weeks. Dr. Enker made me no promises just told me what I needed to do. His caring and expertise with the Anterior method of hip replacement I think is just the best thing. I was walking the same day of my surgery without any pain at all. I recommend this surgery to any one who needs a new hip.

Dr. Enker replaced my left hip using the anterior approach. I was walking the same day of surgery without pain or discomfort. Surgery was two weeks ago, I'm walking without the use of a cane and I'm often told to slow down. I'm amazed and truly great full.

I had my hip replaced on October 27th and about 10 weeks later I feel incredible. The anterior approach for hip replacements is awesome, very little pain and a very quick recovery. Dr. Enker is an excellent doctor who spends the time to educate you on the process and truly has a passion to help the patient. He was recommended to me from a prior patient and now I absolutely will recommend Dr. Enker to anyone with a hip issue.

I was in pain all the time.It is now 17 days since my surgery and I am doing so far better than I ever imagined thanks to Dr Enker's brilliant anterior approach to total hip replacement . Since the day after the operation my hip no longer felt the pain it did before. My physical therapist says I am ahead of schedule too! I am forever indebted to Dr Enker for giving me back my quality of life again. You won't find a better Dr or a better procedure than his anterior hip replacement.

I had both hips replaced by Dr Enker, I could not be happier. Dr Enker did both hips with anterior surgery. I came home right after surgery no rehab. I never needed any pain meds and I recovered pretty quickly. Its been 3yrs since my last surgery and I walk without any pain or problems.
