Dr. Paul H Deutsch

I called Dr. Duestsches office repeatedly over the course of two days. I was obviously having a medical crisis my new doctor tested me and found out I have hypothyroidism. A serious medical condition which causes you to forget what you just did. Instead of having me tested and blood work done. Dr. Duesch dropped me as a patient. I'd like to thank him for his " professionalism" in handling my medical condition.

This review is for the medical staff/practice, not necessarily Dr. Deutsch as I don't see him personally, I see PA Kayla. This practice has the rudest staff I've ever dealt with at a practice. The office manager is completely rude and condescending. Honestly, in my adult life, I've never been treated so poorly at a place of business. When indicating why I had cancelled an appointment, I told the office manager I wasn't about to go in during a pandemic when I wasn't sick (this was during lockdown). Her answer was "other people did" - which is not an appropriate answer. The wait time is never less than 2 hours once you arrive to the time you are seen. This is unacceptable. You may go into an exam room, but once i sat in the exam room for 90 minutes waiting to be seen after sitting in the waiting room for quite a while. The last time I went in, one of the techs indicated they hadn't had the covid vaccine because they don't believe it helps - and this tech wasn't wearing a mask. To be told in a medical practice that someone doesn't believe in a vaccine is ridiculous. Finally, I gave more than 48 hours notice when cancelling my annual physical as I was traveling. I called back to reschedule less than two weeks later and my account had been deactivated - by the office manager. This means not only can I not make an appointment to see Kayla for my physical, but I also cannot get my prescriptions refilled, one of which is for anxiety - trust me, dealing with these people doesn't help. The person that took my call when I was trying to reschedule indicated the office manager would call me back as she needed to approve reactivating my account. Guess what: No call. I'm currently searching for another practice because I've had it with the absolutely horrible service, insane wait times and rude staff. Oh, and I can't get my prescriptions refilled. My last physical was just over a year ago (end of December 2021) my last appointment that I'm trying to reschedule was for 12/30/2022. And yet, my account is deactivated. My family members that also go to this practice are also switching due to similar experiences they have had. Save yourself the stress and trouble: find someone else.

Pleasant MA who is very thorough rooms you. Dr. Deutsch then reviews the preliminary information that the MA obtained with you and asks additional questions. He then examines you and orders the right tests.

Went to a walk in clinicwhere they told me my weakness was from Lyme Disease. DR> DEUTSCH SAVED MY LIFE . HE FOUND THAT I HAD AN ANEMIA WHICH WAS FROM A COLON CANCER

I had this doctor for 15 years he had me on 2mg benzos 3 times daily for years I always had a horrible time filling scripts or making appointments then one day he just decided not to see me anymore and didn't even tapper me off my medication what type of doctor does this !!! I almost died cause of his actions

I have been to visit Dr. Deutsch a few times and he was pleasant enough. HOWEVER, I have a problem with communication with the office. I have 4 numbers for their office (even the one from their website) and the only number that gets answered is billing. There is no voicemail so you can't leave a message. I have complained about this to the front desk as well as Dr. Deutsch and I am told that they are "very busy". Even my pharmacy has problems getting through to them to verify prescriptions. After so many times they give up and my prescriptions are not filled. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! I need a doctor who cares about his patients and takes their concerns into consideration!!!!! Any patient should be able to call the office and at the very least leave a voice message. Suggestions to upgrade the phone system have been ignored as this has been an ongoing issue since before Covid. I have already made an appt with a new doctor and can't in good conscience recommend them anyone.

Makes diagnosis that other doctors didn't even think of. Knows the right questions to ask and tests to order

Time and time again the front desk has been absolutely rude towards my wife. When asked to change prescription locations or about anything they get a nasty attitude. My wife is sick and needs help and all they can do is complain because they can't get things right on their own end.

I've been going here a while and I keep going hoping it'll get better but it never does. The staff is rude and self absorbed. They're constantly arguing and bickering at each other or just standing around not helping. Probably reflects their leadership, office manager or whoever is in charge. The doctor is ok but the woman who says shes in charge doesnt have good customer service and constantly scolds hers staff. I wouldn't reccomend going here it's a hostile chaotic environment sometimes to the point of feeling uncomfortable. I’ve gone to him since I stopped going to my pediatrician. It’s been over a decade now and I honestly have no idea what I’ll do if he ever retires.

Always has time for his patients. Questions asked and answered. Never fell rushed so he can get to next patient. Office staff is always pleasant, knowledgeable and respectful. Always on top of any new developments in my health. I couldn't ask for a better doctor!

This is a very caring doctor with extensive knowledge of medications and how they interact, which is great when taking the number of medications I've been prescribed. I've going to him for decades. Always listens, never rushes. Always spot on with diagnosis !

I have only been to see Dr. Deutsch a handful of times and the only time he was professional and took his time was at my new pt appointment. Every time since then I have waited close to an hour to see him only to be seen for about 5 minutes and with very little interaction. I would've have not even rated him if that were an option.

Dr. Deutsch found that I had Multiple Myeloma while several other doctors thought I had Lyme Disease. I am now in remission. Thank you for my life Dr. Deutsch!!

I have been seeing Dr Deutsch for about 12 years. I have been to other doctors that just want to do limited tests or brush symptoms off til the next yearly appointment. The staff at his office will get you in that day if you are sick and Dr Deutsch and Kayla (APRN) both take time to listen and take note of everything going on. My parents have both switched to Deutsch after they had no luck with their previous doctors and Kayla & Deutsch have since referred them to the specialists they should be seeing for the conditions other doctors didn’t even test/image for. He is a thorough and kind doctor. Up to date with the latest medical data and treats you the old-fashioned way, like part of the family.

When booking my appointment, I mentioned wanting a dermatologist referral for a condition I'd had for several months. Instead, he gave me a tentative diagnosis, an rx and a blood test. Called back saying his diag. was correct and it should go away witin 10 days. When I messaged them asking why I would have a virus for over 3 months that's only supposed to last 10 days, they never called back. Took myself to a derm. and was diagnosed with an incurable skin disorder and given an appropriate course of treatment, which resolved the symptoms fairly quickly, and I will probably need repeated treatment for the rest of my life. Also, blood testing is the least accurate way to test for the condition Dr. Deutsch thought I had, so he didn't even get that right. Dr. Deutsch is only concerned with processing patients and collecting payments. If his diagnosis doesn't match the symptoms, too bad. He makes a great case for vigilant self-advocacy.

Nice gentleman. Not very thorough. Answered a telemarketer on his cell during my exam. Left the phone line open with a person on the other end while he was explaining my treatment options.

Dr. Deutsch has been my doctor for almost 25 years and is an extremely thorough and insightful doctor.

The office staff are friendly and highly responsive. Dr. Deutsch takes as much time needed for his patients. He will personally call you with test results - how refreshing!

Grateful that I'm fortunate to have him as my physician for nearly 20 years.
