I got a second opinion with X-rays. He didn’t see the ankle injury even after a second set of X-rays at his office. He finally saw it when he looked at the disc which was taken by my second opinion.

Dr. DeFrino and his staff are amazing! He repaired my left ankle after I broke it on a trampoline and the repair gives me no issues. And he just repaired my right ankle after a tube sledding accident. He was super consultative and made sure I understood the repair and potential complications. I recommend him highly!

Very disappointed in the intake staff & they're mishandling, dismissive behavior as I, a trauma patient, was turned away multiple times with referral and a appointment in hand. Only for them to still have to see and treat me anyway. This is no way to treat patients, sending them on a run around all over the place, losing time and wasting gas because of pure ignorance. Professionalism goes a long way, and this staff, at both locations, demonstrated anything but. Dr. DeFrino went above and beyond to help my daughter through a foot injury. He listens, is patient and followed up throughout her recovery. Very high quality medical care.

Dr. Defrino has been my ortho since I broke my ankle in a fall in 2016. Due to the severity of injury I had ankle replacement in Dec 2018. I am now pain free and resuming a normal life. Dr. Defrino is a compassionate and extremely knowledgeable surgeon, who is a true expert in his field. I recommend him 1000%

Had a bone spur removed from my big toe last summer. Very professional, good communication and months later for is great. No pain, recovery was as he stated. Highly recommended.

I had a deteriorating ankle joint and healbone. Dr.Paul Defino did extensive repair.I have a new joint and four screws in my foot. After a year the ankle feels better than my other natural ankle. I do not have any pain and can do just about anything Dr.Paul is an excellent surgeon which I would highly recommend.

I had a bunion surgery and also weil osteotomy. As soon as the swelling went down my foot went right back to the way it was but now my bunion is even worse. Dr Defrino is a nice man but seemed stumped as to why this happened and offered no help other than to do another surgery at my expense. I went to get another opinion with another Dr (the head of Orthopedics at University hospital) and he said it was done wrong and should have been fixed further down on my foot.

Very friendly, explanation to the problem for your office visit explained to the point. Would recommend to other people.

DR. DeFrino did my sons foot surgery he was very compassionate and extreamly knowledgeable he took tremendous pride in his work we didnt hesitate to go back to him when my son needed surgery on the other foot We knew he was the surgeon for us! His demeanor was spot on and a great bed side manner! His nurses are great as well!

Dr. DeFrino repaired tendon in my right foot and was a complete success, Years later I had the same surgery done on my left foot by another surgeon because of my insurance at that time. That surgery was not successful. I was fortunate to go back to Dr. DeFrino who did surgery on my left foot to make corrections and I did get better results. I would highly recommend Dr, DeFrino!

I found Dr. Defrino to be very professional and caring. From my first exam with him, he spent quite a bit of time showing me how deformed my ankle was and what it would take to repair it. He answered my questions and laid out what the timeline would be for recovery. He said this would be a long journey and that eventually I would have a much better ankle, which it now is. I would highly recommend him to my friends and one friend's daughter will likely be seeing him soon

Excellent Doctor ,explains your surgery so you understand,answers all your questions,great personality. Had two surgeries and both times had no pain.

First & foremost, Dr. Defrino did a wonderful job rebuilding my husband's heel after a car accident. But in addition to that, he & his staff were absolutely outstanding in every possible way. There were several doctors and institutions involved in the 5 month recovery and with that much going on we were bound to run into a few hurdles. Parkview helped at every turn, even in areas that were not theirs to worry about. When someone else let us down, Parkview was there to offer solutions & support.

Dr. DeFrino takes the time to explain your medical condition with you and answer your questions.. His surgical skills are excellent. He does what will improve your health and is not eager to rush in and do things that are not necessary. His nurse and office personnel are very kind and experienced. The wait time in the office is short.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. DeFrino. I was able to see him rather quickly after my initial scheduling call to his office. He was very thoughtful and thorough in his discussion with me about options to fix my plantar plate tear. He took his time to listen and respond to my questions. My surgery and healing went as expected. In addition to excellent healthcare, I was really happy with my experience during office visits! Best Dr./staff I've ever been to.

Great surgeon, super person repaired my broken ankle and always explained what I should expect to happen after surgery, my ankle is good as new, I would recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Defrino did an outstanding job with repairing my ruptured Achilles Tendon, and removing a spur at the same time in my left ankle in Oct. 2016. I am pain free, and walking at ease again!!!!!

Dr. DeFrino did total ankle replacement 03/25/2016. He and his staff did an excellent job from start to finish. Had last visit 03/21/2017 everything good do not have to see him any more. I highly recomend Dr. DeFrino!!!

Dr. DeFrino performed surgery on my bunions for both right and left feet. He did a wonderful job..it was such a positive experience. Only 3 month out from my second surgery and I am back to my normal activities teaching all day and walking on my elliptical machine. I am 100% satisfied with my decision to have this surgery. Dr. DeFrino explained the treatment options before I made my decision to opt for surgery. My feet are healing very well and look great! The staff is helpful & friendly!

Dr Defrino is excellent at what he does. Very professional , excellent bed side manner , very good at communicating and answering ALL your questions. I highly recommend the Doctor to all who would require his services. The staff at Parkview are also very professional and communicate well with the patients.
