Paul Arthur Cink

From 2016-2019, I saw Paul Cink for my seasonal allergies. I was constantly losing my voice and he said it couldn't be anything but allergies, which I thought was weird since it was occurring in Winter and he claimed my allergies really only sparked up in the Spring time. I got tested, and he put me on allergy shots for one year. At one year in, we were supposed to retest and evaluate if I needed to continue them any longer. One year rolled around and I had a check up with him that cost roughly $350 after insurance for a brief visit from him consisting of me traveling one hour to and from Vermillion, SD so that I could listen to him say that he was going to put me on the shots another year. He didn't even test me and he left faster than I spent walking to the check up room itself. This happened not once, but twice! He had the audacity to tell me that the original plan of one year had to get extended to two years, and then after completing that, three years! They never retested me and I never had any reactions to the shots. Frankly, up to that point I should have just rescheduled the retesting myself but instead I chose to discontinue the shots a few months after he told me I would need to stay on. I figured that he was just milking me for money and that if I called to retest or discontinue that he would find a new way to get me in the door and get more money. My allergies NEVER seemed to be that bad until he told me they were, and I never even noticed a difference in allergies from before, during, or after the shots. I would not have even written this review had the above been the end of the story. But, sadly it is not. After MONTHS (I stopped in October 2019) of not doing shots, he charged me $540 today (April 2020) for discontinuing the shots. I will not stay silent about this anymore. Horrible waste of time and money. If I ever go back for something else, maybe my review will change, but I will never be going here for allergies ever again.

My son's eardrum was not functioning properly. I had taken him to see a younger physican and basically got we will just put him on steroids and wait and see. It was not getting better. My daughter broke her nose in the mean time and Dr. Cink did her surgery. I was very impressed the way he addressed things and the time he took with her. I asked if he would see my son. He said yes and did surgery. Thanks to Dr. Cink, my son's hearing is normal!!!

I would highly recommend that the next time he exam's a patients throat, that he use a light to see the throat. As a parent even I get out the flashlight to look at my child's throat. He was so lazy he looked at throat without a light and said he couldn't see anything. Next he asked if I had ear pain. I answered yes, he never bothered to even look at my ear. He should be ashamed and I am appalled that he is allowed to call himself a doctor.

A few years ago I had an obstruction in my airway late one Friday evening. I waited in an ER for the ENT on call to come in and remove the obstruction; the doctor on call was Paul Cink. He refused the call. I found out later he had was actually at a party while I was choking in the ER. Every other doctor I saw that night can confirm his refusal to respond. I also have at least one person who can confirm his attendance at the party. When the obstruction was getting worse the ER actually sent me to another hospital for care. I filed a complaint with the hospital but was never given a response.
