I had a congenital defect of my aortic valve. It was asymetrical bicuspid, rather than symmetrical tri-leaf. Over time, this led to stenosis of the valve. Dr. Burns replaced the valve in a surgery that went exceptionally well. I can't thank him enough.

This was my first time meeting Dr. Burns. He was thorough in his assessment of my condition, answered all of my questions in depth, and left me confident in his ability to help me. He has a calm and relaxed manner, speaks in layman?s terms so you understand what he?s saying without too much technical talk, and is very courteous.

Dr. Burns explained my aortic aneurysm so that I understood that based the aneurysms small size, it would be too risky to perform surgery at this time. He explained why we should monitor the size of the aneurysm on a regular basis to so that we will be aware if there is a size change in the future.

He is a resident surgeon at Deborah cardiac clinic. I met Dr Burns when I first started going to Deborah several years ago. I get my CAT scans every year, but I don't directly see Dr Burns at my appointments. I hope he reviews the CAT scans. It seems Deborah has Dr Burns spread too thin. He seemed very friendly and capabil when I did see him several years ago.

I felt comfortable and confident of my current situation after talking with Dr Burns.

Had a pre surgery meeting recently with Dr. Burns. He was extremely professional while explaining, often in laymen terms, what to expect during the next stages of treatment. Extremely easy to talk to and ask questions to regarding my concerns. He displayed a confidence level in his explanations that made me feel much more comfortable moving forward.

Would't hesitate to place my life in his hands without batting an eye.

Dr. Burns is one in a million! His expertise, compassion, professionalism and overall warm personality makes him along the best of the best! He has treated and cared for my mother and father, and I would never recommend anyone else! He is absolutely an amazing doctor!

Dr Burns followed my case for three years and finally I had to have open heart surgery this is the doctor you want if you have to have this done I had to have a valve replaced and aneurysm fixed and a blockage thank you Dr. Burns you saved my life

He is the greatest Dr ever. He is so friendly and down to earth. He is very good at what he does! He performed double bypass on my husband in 2016. His expertise can not be touched. He is a beautiful man and always smiling. He gave me his personal number to call with questions about my husband's surgery. No Dr does that ever! No other surgeon has anything like him. I think he is an angel sent from God above. We are forever grateful. You can trust your loved ones in his care.

Dr. Burns is a brilliant surgeon! He most certainly saved my life! He is very well respected by all his patients as well as the staff at Deborah Heart and Lung!
