Dr.McMahon is the best surgeon I have ever had, I highly recommend people to him!!

There are not enough superlatives to describe Dr McMahon. I’ve had three prior surgeries on my shoulder by other surgeons. He did a total shoulder replacement and I’m now pain free with normal function. Beyond that he is kind and caring.

I saw Dr McMahon he was very reassuring and professional. The doctor answered all of my questions and skillfully performed a procedure on my knee. I am feeling great now.

Dr McMahon is a very observant and skilled surgeon. He is very thorough as well as very kind and helpful. I will gladly recommend Dr McMahon to anyone and his staff is wonderful as well as helpful.

Dr. McMahon is an Anointed Awesome Man not just another Orthopedic Sergeon . I have seen 3 other orthopedic sergeons over the last 2 years whom just kept administering shots that didn’t work. Then I researched Dr.McMahon went to my appointment he scheduled an MRI told me my options based on possible MRI results after my MRI Dr. McMahon told me that I had torn tendons and a torn ligament. He ask how soon scheduled me for surgery his staff was wonderful in following up until the day of surgery. Surgery center staff was awesome just before Dr. McMahon came in to do the surgery he Offered To Pray With Me ! Yes YesYes this goes beyond beside manners. Dr. McMahon is Fantastic he’s patient caring understanding compassionate sensitive goes above and beyond the average Dr. He doesn’t look at you as just another 15-20 dollar copay , He makes you feel like he likes you , cares and has your best interest. I Pray that This Man gets his rewards for all his Blessings acts of kindness and generosity towards people. I’d strongly recommend Dr. McMahon ???????????????????????????????????????????????? I’ve seen a lot of Doctors in my 50 years , even my children’s Pediatrician , ER doctors , specialist, my parents doctors . When I dislocated my shoulder in March and would require surgery, my orthopedic surgeon on record recommended Dr. McMahon to do the surgery. As I had no idea who he was, I did do some research and was very impressed with his credentials. At the first, pre-surgery appointment, I was extremely pleased at his knowledge and concern for my well-being. He even readjusted his schedule to in order to perform the needed surgery on the Friday after my appointment, believing that to wait until the following Tuesday, his scheduled surgical day would be too long of a wait. On the day of the surgery, I was even more impressed when, after going over what he might have to do, he asked my permission to pray for me. That was the crowning point as I always depend on God for everything and knew that I was in good (no make that great) hands with a surgeon who humbly admitted to asking the Lord for His help. My recovery was rapid and without complications. My only regret is that. Lord willing, I won't have to go back to see Dr. McMahon as I am not planning to injure my shoulder again. But as I cannot predict the future, if I sustain another shoulder injury, Dr. McMahon will be the first doctor I call. Thank you, Dr. McMahon. Dr. McMahon performed shoulder manipulation surgery on me this March. The procedure went extremely well. Dr. McMahon was very thorough, professional, and caring. I appreciate his compassion with his treatment

Dr McMahon has an excellent bedside manner, and genuinely cares for each of his patients. My elbow is now so much better than before!

Dr. Mcmahon performed surgery on my elbow and it was a complete failure. If anything it made my pain worse. Between time off work and physical therapy I lost a lot of money for nothing except a very painful experience.

Dr.Mc Mahon MD,Surgeon- has outstanding skill as a surgeon, the good Doctor operated on both of my shoulder's and the results of my operation was absolute Excellence. My skilled Physical Therapists could not believe how fast my recovery was. They also commented on the precise entry scars and how fast they were disappearing. Dr. Patrick J. Mc Mahon MD has office and bedside manner that is beyond perfection. The Doctor was always smiling and always had good words to say about everything. The Doctor always clearly explained my problems and also was very precise on what he would have to do to correct the problem. Dr. McMahon is a skilled surgeon with excellent bedside manner. He would rather take the time to do it right the first time than have more patients cycling through faster. He fixed my elbow, and I am extremely happy with the results.

Dr McMahon had been referred to me by the chief of surgery at AGH. It turns out a previous orthopedist had missed a fracture which Dr McMahon picked up when he redid the Xrays. No wonder I had not had any relief from pain for the 4 weeks following my injury! Dr McMahon also determined I had a defect in my knee, but after one (cortisone?) injection provided total relief (knock on wood) I have not had to make a return visit. What a wonderful doctor, with such a calm, caring and kind manner.

Dr. McMahon is kind, professional, and thorough. I went to him for a second opinion because first doctor recommended surgery (said there was a re-tear on previous rotator surgery ). Thankfully Dr. McMahon did not agree. A shot helped immensely! Highly recommend!

Zero stars. Botched 2 surgeries on my daughters collar bone. She doesn't sleep and has had constant pain for over a year. He refuses to fix it. She will suffer for the rest of her life.

Dr. McMahon is not only excellent with his diagnostic skills and his techniques but he cares. You never feel like a number being rushed through a busy machine but he and his office staff makes you feel like a member of the family.

Absolutely he is not only an amazing surgeon? He is truly an amazing human being!! I'm so blessed to have found him and proud to say he is my orthopedic surgeon. I've been operated on previous by a world renowned surgeon who couldn't hold a candle to Dr. McMahon. My prior surgeon operated on my left shoulder twice. McMahon repeated the identical surgery on my right shoulder. The difference in pain and recovery time has been half of what it was with my former shoulder surgeries. I highly recommend him! Dr McMahon has been my elbow Dr for almost 10 yrs. I blew my elbow out (complete dislocation & broken elbow & ligament damage after a fall) I've had 4 surgeries from him & I can't say enough good about him & his staff. I wish he could be my PvP. He's kind, understanding & just all around an awesome Dr & man. I still see him for cortisone shots until I'm old enough to get my whole elbow replaced. Dr McMahon is amazing! I recently got shoulder surgery from him after dealing with about 11 years of discomfort and couldn't be happier. Dr McMahon was very thorough when explaining things to my wife and i before, during and after surgery on what they were going to do, what i should expect, etc. His bedside manner in keeping me calm really helped along with the people at the surgery center in Pittsburgh. I would recommend anyone that needs these types of procedures to go to Dr. McMahon. Thanks again doc! Dr McMahon is amazing! good doctor and highly recommended but IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of anyone at his office. Should you get in trouble, post-op, you have to leave a message and HOPE they'll get back to you in a timely fashion. And I'm talking about during office hours not an after hours emergency. He is a single practioner with a small office staff.

Dr. McMahon diagnosed my shoulder tear quickly and helped me weigh the decision about surgery and what it would or would not entail. During the surgery there was more damage than expected and Dr. McMahon was able to react and clean everything up very nicely. I have very low amounts of pain as i am writing this review only 4 days after surgery. Dr. McMahon has great bed side manner and took the time to explain everything very thoroughly to my wife and i before and after surgery.

Dr. McMahon came highly recommend by another orthopedic surgeon. His compassion and flexibility were amazing! I was to have another surgery July 7th, so had scheduled time off. In the meantime I Re tore my rotator cuff, and due to my job it needed SWIFT attention. I saw Dr. McMahon on June 30th, and he worked it so I could have surgery in my time span! Dr.McMahon repaired my rotator cuff (torn through 2 tendons) on July 12th 2016. I can'tsay enough about how pleaased I am!!!

Nov. 10th of 2015 I underwent a repair of two rotator cuff muscles, the bicep tendon and a total shoulder replacement, all of my right shoulder in one surgery, but two incisions. Dr. McMahon is an amazing surgeon who is warm, kind and considerate of his patients. With the rehab program he set up and with an excellent Physical Therapist, by February of 2016, I could handle my luggage and by April I was able to Golf and throw a football with my grandson. Did I mention that I am 71 years old?

Dr. McMahon is the shoulder specialist at the Pittsburgh VA hospital. Because of there being a long wait I saw him in the private sector. Amazing Godly Surgeon.

I shattered my right elbow in 1978 and almost died from a horrible motorcycle accident. I suffered with extreme pain, limited mobility and use of the arm. After many treatments and surgeries Dr. McMahon replaced my elbow with an artificial joint 2yrs ago. I now can move and use my arm, best of all no more agonizing pain.
