Little time spent considering cause of problem

Had both knees by Dr Kirk 8 weeks apart in 2011. Still going strong, best decision and best Dr!

My husband had hip replacement on both hips! His walk is normal, people cannot believe he had both replaced!

I highly recommend Dr.Patrick Kirk. He is a very skilled orthopedic surgeon. I had no problems getting my first knee replacement. I had a fast recovery. I wouldn’t let any orthopedic surgeon touch my next knee replacement but Dr. Patrick Kirk!

I had two hip replacements by Dr Kirk, both in 2018. I am beyond grateful to him for the perfect placement of the right hardware. It’s like my original hips before degen. arthritis. I can easily swing either hip over a bicycle. Incisions barely visible. First saw him 8 yrs before surgery, and saw him at 2 yr intervals. He kept saying “you’ll know when you are ready”. He was right. He wanted the best outcome for me, not just to book another surgery. I also cannot say enough about the Christ Hosp Joint & Spine building. Only orthopedic surgeries; no germs from open heart, bowel resections or other surgeries. Purpose-built state-of-the-art surgery tables to give the surgeon the best access. Good anesthesia & inpatient aftercare. I had a shoulder replacement at UC WestChester & it was the worst medical experience of my life. Great surgeon but everything else was negligent or bungled. No pain management, incompetent nursing, understaffed, unhappy employees. Never again UC

Right hip replacement. He did a perfect replacement was home within 24 hours of my surgery. He is a man of few words but best surgeon in his field in Cincinnati. I have zero hesitation to refer people to him. I was an employee benefits manager for a very large company and I saw many very sad surgery outcomes and I saw very few that I can honestly say it was a 5 star process. Update: 5 years after surgery and still doing great. Rarely have any pain in hip. It also has helped with what I thought was back pain. Very happy!! Right hip replacement. Dr Kirk replaced both my knees. The surgery went great and recovery smooth. I feel so much better completely out of pain and almost no scaring. I am so thankful for a greatly gifted surgeon that Dr Kirk is.

Dr. Kirk performed 3 total joint replacement surgeries (2 knees, 1 hip) within the span of 11 months. I am approximately 8 months out since the last surgery, and my life today bears no resemblance to the pain-filled existence I endured before the first. I expect my physicians to be knowledgeable and skilled, which, of course, he is. But he also possess a quality that too many medical providers lack. In addition to listening, Dr. Kirk actually hears his patients. He listens AND he hears. Then then he does a cracker jack job in the OR. He has also assembled an excellent team: his PA, his CNP and his office staff. Never has Dr. Kirk nor any of his team failed to impress me. Thank you, Dr. Kirk. I think very highly of Dr. Kirk. However in trying to get some shots before vacation I tried working with the office staff. I was told that I would be called within the next day about approval and that they would fit me in before I leave. At the end of the third day I called the office only to be told I would have to wait. I then offered to take another type of medicine that did not have to have preapproval. I was then told that I would not be able to get in before I left. Terrible customer service. I think very highly of Dr. Kirk. Kirk is a highly skilled knee surgeon with little bedside manner. Choose him because you want a successful surgery, but not because you want to feel as if all your questions have been satisfied about surgery and recovery.

Dr. Kirk is worth the wait. I am 8 weeks out from my knee surgery and I had an excellent recovery. Follow the directions for exercise and pain meds and you will be happy with the results. I am. Thanks Dr. Kirk and team!

Dr. Kirk is my hero! March 18, 2019 he replaced my right knee. I had an overnight stay at Christ Hospital and was released the next day. Here it is April 16th, and I'm walking without a cane, and back to driving. Physical therapy has certainly helped, but thanks to Dr. Kirk, I have my life back. I am 7 weeks post left knee replacement by Dr. Kirk. My recovery has far exceeded my expectations. Dr. Kirk's office has been very prompt in returning communications through MyChart. The rehab team at Christ Hospital Liberty Township has been great. I recommend Dr. Kirk and the team at Christ Hospital without reservation.

Update 7/30/18 ...It been a year and everything is still fantastic. Dr. Kirk did an amazing job with my total hip replacement. Pain management was excellent. I was up walking the day of surgery with a walker. The next day I was walking independently without a can or walker. I even took a walk through Costco to get some excercise. The entire staff at Christ hospital were top notch professionals. Their approach is extremely patient centered and your comfort is their focus. I also had a beautiful view of the Cincinnati skyline. I would highly recommend Patrick Kirk and the Christ Hospital Staff. If I could I would upload a video of me walking unassisted the day after surgery.. Dr. Kirk is an outstanding surgeon who performed my hip replacement 6 weeks ago. My physical therapy team marveled at my incision -- clean, elegant, no staples -- and a knowledgeable friend described my post-op x-ray as "picture-perfect." Dr. Kirk is a kind and supremely accomplished surgeon. We are fortunate to have him practicing in Cincinnati.

Dr Kirk was my knee surgeon, 2 total knees 9 weeks apart 18 months ago. This ski season I skied and snowboarded 66 days. Dr Kirk said I would not have to stop skiing but he did not say I could get better. I have got better, I ski open to close most days, pain free. I just got back from 10 days in Montana and Colorado where I skied several days of deep powder better than ever. I had total knee replacement surgery on Jan 18, 2017. Dr Kirk did the surgery. I play competitive tennis and wanted to continue at the same level. He did a fantastic job and I am back playing better than ever since early June. I was told he was the best and found him to be the best. Thank you.

Dr. Patrick Kirk replaced my left hip in the month of February of 2010 . Immediately, it was like God himself did the replacement . I thank God I was able to find this physician for this surgery. I recommend him to anyone of my family and friends. I have already recommended him to friends of mine in Dayton, Ohio on various occasions . Frank Case

He was in the room less then 5 minutes. his physical exam was pathetic. he barely touched me, moved my leg slightly and said i needed surgery.
