Patrick J Hogan III

He is the kindest, most caring doctor I have, especially for a neurologist. Neurologist that are good, listen, helpful, and nice are hard to find but Dr. Hogan is the best. He specializes in movement disorders and migraines, but he is a full service office.

Dr. Hogan has been my neurologist through my entire post meningitis, post infectious neuralgia, regional pain syndrome, intractable migraine nightmare. He is incredibly knowledgeable, extremely compassionate and very persistent. Dr. Hogan knew me as a critical care nurse before all of this happened and has been able to track the devastation of my disease process. He's been there for me through thick and thin and continues to be. He's on the cutting edge of medicine, yet, he is so humble.

I have been a patient of both Dr P. Hogan and Sharon Jung, ARNP, for many years covering my seizures and migraines. Both have been the most knowledgeable and kindest and most understanding to these incredibly painful and life interrupting disorders. They've helped me in all aspects - from the most aggravating insurance needs to emergency office appts. Yes I may have to wait, it's worth it. I wouldn't trust my "head" to anyone else. PS I have seen his wife a licensed dietician/nutritionist, who gave me so much help with food tips regarding my headaches. Dr hogan is a great Dr. Sadly I can't say the same about a few of his front desk employees. Due to insurance mess up I had to cancel my appointment. I got the situation figured out called them right away to make an appointment and was told I couldn't be seen for another 3 months, which would make it six 6 months total of my tremors not being treated. They didn't seem to care that this literally effects my day to day life (work, taking care of my son, school). My husband is overseas so I don't have the luxury to have him help when I am to the point where I am not capable of being able to feed my son because I can't control my tremors. Only option I was given was to put me on the cancellation list, which will make it hard to go since I just can't leave work whenever I want. They should really have something in place for emergencies, they have done before one other time don't know why they can't do it this time. They have made it very clear they are strictly there for a pay check not because they care about their patients. I've been going to this clinic for years for chronic headache treatment. I've had the opposite experience of the patient's appearing before this comment. There were times my migraine were horrendous, and they allow my to have treatment on the spot. I have several doctors to see, and have found that occasionally most all have clerical mishaps. Dr. Hogan is very knowledgeable and respectable in his field. He listens intently and asks a lot of questions. He has been one of the best specialists I have seen, and I am thankful I was sent to him, as he has diagnosed me after many years of not knowing what I was struggling with.

Dr. Hogan himself does an adequate job dealing with patients. His staff and other providers in the office fall far short of the mark. There has been a lot of turnover in the last 2 years and patient care has suffered. Communication within the office is spotty. As a patient be prepared for your records to be innacurate, your treatment plan to be ignored and to have to fight to have any continuity in your treatment. It is hard to trust Dr. Hogan and his staff with all these problems.
