Dr. Brown lifts my spirits every time I see him, he is so upbeat. But he is still very serious about keeping me well. He always answers my questions fully and teaches as he explains. He is quick and decisive in his treatment plans. I am very grateful for him.

This place is absolute trash. The employee are incompetent. I can’t speak for Dr. Brown because I couldn’t even handle the front desk experience but I can’t imagine he’s any good if he would allow what I saw and experienced. Don’t waste your time.

When I called Dr Browns office and got no answer and was directed to leave a message, I was already having a bad feeling about seeing this doctor. I left a message for a call back to make an appointment. No one called me back that day. I called again the following day and again I got no answer and left a message. No one call that day. I waited another day but no one called. I decided to call my PCP and ask for another referral. Maybe Dr Brown is unaware of what’s going on at the front desk but he just lost a patient. Any time a doctors office doesn’t answer the phone, that’s a red flag. I hope Dr. Brown reads his reviews, maybe he will make some changes. Dr Patrick Brown was able to solve a 20-year old sinus problem and give me back my life without constant pain and infection. He explained everything clearly and took the time needed to ensure a successful solution.

My husband will be a new patient to see Dr. Brown .but his receptionist by the name Lori at the Hamilton Wolf clinic is rude she hanged up on me while I was speaking, she did not like that I was questioning why did they move my husband's appointment to the New Braunfels location without informing me. I explained to her that when my husbands appointment was scheduled it was for Hamilton Wolf clinic and she said that the person that had given me the appointment misinformed me, how could that have been when I had confrim his appointment But, Lori did not give me a chance to inform her that the appointment had been confirmed. All she wanted to do is change the date. I explained tried to explain to her that my husband has a hard time get off from his job but, she hung up the phone on me so, I called back 3 to 4 times and they kept placing me on hold at one point they left me on hold for 5 minutes I had to hang up and call call again. I hope that the office manager does see the reviews because that is so bad costumer service. Dr. Brown fixed my deviated septum, which happened from enlarged turbinates, and he did a "turbinate reduction" at the same time. I used to be congested 80% of the time, and I'd get sick every 1-2 months and the "cold" would last 10-14 days each time. After the surgery, I'm congested less than 2% of the time, and I haven't caught a cold in 18 months! Thanks Dr. Brown for the miracle surgery! Dr. Patrick Brown who is my ENT Specialist is very professional, friendly and thorough in his examinations. All of the medical and Front desk staff are always smiling and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Brown to others thinking about seeing an Ear, Nose & Throat specialist.

My son had tonsil stone and I think dr. Brown has a good bedside manners. Funny and makes you feel comfortable about the surgery. My son is 21, but he never had surgery before and he was the best. I don’t know about the office because before the surgery, we only waited about 15 to 30 minutes. Sometimes doctors have emergencies.

I was referred to Dr. Brown to get treatment for constant ringing in my left ear (tinnitus). On my first and only visit, Dr. Brown used a high powered suction device to remove ear wax from my right ear. During the procedure he pressed the nozzle of the device against the wall of my ear canal; restricting the air flow and causing a very loud and painful screeching sound next to my eardrum. I immediately experienced a loud ringing in my ear that mostly dissipated after about 30 seconds, but no

Dr Brown preformed surgery to fix my deviated septum. Also turbinate reduction. The surgery was life changing. I almost don't need antihistamines anymore, and my CPAP can operate at a reduced pressure. Excellent surgeon!

I had one of the first appts of the day (0810) and arrived early (0750) so I was the second one to be called back....very minimal wait time. I did notice the waiting room was packed when I left. I work for a very busy ophthalmologist and we also have long wait times...that's pretty normal when waiting to see a specialist. WORTH IT. The staff were pleasant and helpful. All were competent and did a good job. I agree, there is quite a bit of laughing and side conversation, but frankly, I don't give a rat's ass. As long as my paperwork is correct, my chart is passed on to the staff for my work up, and my charting is correct, I'm a happy camper. More importantly, Dr Brown was recommended by a highly esteemed plastic surgeon that was formerly an ENT physician and head of the otolaryngology (ENT) department at university hospital, Dr Jaime Garza. Dr Brown has excellent bedside manner, explained everything to me, and put up with all of my questions and concerns. His competence and professionalism combined with his kindness are invaluable in a physician. I have been to five different kinds of medical professionals for my condition and could not be happier that I finally narrowed down my problem and Dr Brown was able to give me an excellent treatment option. Five star experience. I had one of the first appts of the day (0810) and arrived early (0750) so I was the second one to be called back....very minimal wait time. My wife took my daughter to Dr. Brown's office this afternoon only to find out they have a policy that only biological parents are allowed to check patients in. There is no law saying is the parent cannot check the children in it's just their policy which I seem not to be able to find anywhere her name is actually on the insurance because she's the one that provides the healthcare for the whole family . What are the registration ladies told her that after a link the conversation with the real mother they had to enforce this policy . Yeah it was never explained even the time that she made the appointment that there was such in a policy. Is the biological. And the primary. this is a businesses that will allow someone to call even if that someone abandon their children years ago and is only looking for reasons to make it harder for their own children to get medical attention and dictate who takes the children to their appointment . If this out rages policy was explained in the very beginning when she openly admitted that she was The stepparent. When making the appointment I would not have an issue of course we would've never went to a doctors office who made that kind of policy.

Worst office experience I could ever imagine, a stepparent being told they're not a real parent. Procedures being made up and lies to cover to refuse treatment for my daughter. You might say that this review is it will rounded because it's not about the doctor but the doctor is only as good as his staff

Horrible!!!! Do not take a toddler to this office! Unreasonable wait time. Not clean. Rude front desk. We made another appointment with another doc while we were in the waiting room it was so bad! Also, there is a nice little sign on the way in that says "no drugs or guns overnight". Real warm and fuzzy, right?

My 5 yr old previously had tubes in both ears (put in by a different ENT that passed away earlier this year.) I found Dr. Patrick Brown online -via my insurance website. His bedside manner is friendly, but thats about the only thing good about this office. I agree with ALL the other comments, we would schedule an appointment, and still have to wait for 2 hrs each time to be seen. NOT OK. In addition, they called me one time to reschedule an appointment I had set for over 3 weeks, and told me they couldnt see us for another month. NOT ok, I complained until they got us in later that week. On a different occasion, I called to ask for a nasal spray refill, 2 days later and 4 calls from me later, I finally got the nasal spray after complaining to Olivia the office manager. I told her the office staff is incompetent. No one returns phone calls. The fact that I like this Dr's beside manner is not enough to continue to go here. As of Jan 1 2014, Im seaching for a new ENT. Also, my kid has had 4 more ear infections from October - December, and this Dr. still thinks its unnecessary to put another set of tubes in, really? He said he'll grow out of it. Sure, well, I dont have time to wait anymore, lets see what a new Dr. thinks. A heads up to all of those complaning about wait times, this office does accept Medicaid, and this will ALWAYS add to your wait time. So next go round, when choosing a Dr., make sure you ask if they accept Medicaid or not, I wont be going to anymore offices that do. Over an hour wait after my appointment time. When I finally do get seen I walk to the back to see drs and nurses laughing and talking about their weekend.I've never been to a professional business that had so many employees laughing and having a good time while I and everyone else waits to be seen. Bullshit

Never again --- I had a scheduled appointment, had all my paperwork filled out in advance and still sat around for 1.5-2hrs before I was called in to see the doc. The waiting room was like a zoo, packed w/ people plus a bunch of wild kids running around. I went in for an issue with my ear/hearing and could not even hear when the nurse called my name. The staff should really have more consideration for the types of patients they are treating and put a monitor up with names or patient numbers or something. --- The visit w/ Dr. Bertino was disappointing as he pretty much told me what I already learned from my family practice clinic, I went to Dr. Bertino to see a specialist and to get better information and a more detailed analysis, not to spend literally 30 seconds w/ him since they book their appointments so close together, kind of a waste of my time and money. He did give me a new prescription for my ruptured eardrum but am leery to follow it as he recommended ear drops which actually state on the bottle "WARNING: DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE A RUPTURED EARDRUM!"
