I was scheduled for surgery through a PA under Dr. Brillant, drive a 60 mile round trip on multiple occasions for various steps of the process to prepare for surgery, discuss my options with my employer concerning my absence, prepare others to take time away from their jobs/lives to care for me, wake up at 3:30 am to adequately prepare, 2 enemas, shower, etc, arrive after the 30 mile ride to be completely prepared, in a bed with an IV in my arm, Dr. Brillant enters the stall partition, views my chart, and says, “I’m not doing this surgery, surgery is cancelled.” The risks outweigh the current rewards is what I gathered from his explanation when he returned AFTER verbalizing the cancellation order and THEN going to review the MRI results. The reason is fine, but this never should have progressed as far as it did just to be told to go home in such a harsh, insensitive, and nonchalant way. I was devastated.

He knew my case so well while,some data was citing a different diagnosis,, his knowledge carried through to his correct prediction from first visit! It carried me forward relieving anxiety.
