Reviews for Dr. Patricia A Stuart
Dr Stuart has taking care of all my broken bones she replaced both knees 1997 left and 2000 for right am still going strong she's the best in my book will miss her
One of the WORST physicians I have ever seen in my life! On my very first (and only) visit with her she asked absolutely no questions of me. She took one look at me and said that I was not a good candidate for knee replacement surgery because I am too overweight (I AM overweight, but just lost 100 lbs, which she would have discovered had she taken the time to ask me any questions.) She also informed me that I wasn't a good candidate because at 48 years old, I am too young. I knew this would be an issue, since knee replacements tend to last like 20 years and insurance companies don't want to pay for two of them. I took a deep breath and began to tell her the steps my GP and I had taken to manage my severe arthritis thus far. It just so happens that one of the several things we have tried was morphine for the pain because, when I was heavier, the only way I could get out of bed and begin to work toward losing the weight was with strong pain medication. Over the previous 2-3 months I had reduced my pain meds by half on my own. I had an appointment to see my GP so I could go off them completely without having withdrawals. Of course, she never let me get that explanation out. All she heard was "morphine" and she began speaking loudly and waving her hands in the air (literally) and went on a 5 minute rant about how they don't prescribe narcotics there...and went on in great detail about why, and I couldn't get a word in edge-wise. When she finally slowed down I explained to her that not only was I not there seeking pain medication of any kind, but I was in the process of weaning myself off the medication I had been on for several years. I swear, she walked in that room and all she saw was a fat slob. And when I mentioned pain medication, I was a fat slob who was drug seeking. She outright told me there was nothing she could do for me, but wanted me to get more x-rays. I was to follow the X-ray Tech (not sure if that's her official title) so she could bring me to get the x-rays. As we walk down what feels like a long hallway, she was walking so fast that I was way, way behind her. I was a little concerned that she might make a turn I didn't see and I might get lost. She never once looked back to see if I was ok, or even still following her. I can NOT be the only person in an Orthopedic office who has difficulty walking quickly. You would think they would be a little more aware and maybe even kind to their patients. So, I get back in the little room after having the X-rays done and Dr. Stuart walks back in and says "Well! A picture is worth a thousand words!" She was apparently shocked that my arthritis was so severe that it was bone-on-bone and I had no more cushion left. Which totally baffles me because why else did she think I was there? Did she honestly think that my GP would refer me if I had no real issues or if I really was "drug seeking"? So, in the end this horrible person referred me to a more experienced orthopedic surgeon to see if he was willing to do anything for me. In the meantime, she told me to just use NSAIDS like Motrin. When I told her that my Cardiologist told me to absolutely not take that kind of medication because of what some new studies revealed about what they do to your heart. Since I have had two massive heart attacks in the past, and have been seeing the best cardiologist in the area for 10 years, I tend to follow his instructions. Dr. Stuart scoffed and said "Everything comes with a risk!" I was dumbfounded. She wasn't willing to "risk" providing me with a surgery that is my only hope for maintaining the mobility I have worked so hard to reach, but she scoffs at my cardiologist who is an extremely better physician than she could hope to be, iho. This woman is a horrible person and I think she should keep her science in a lab somewhere where she doesn't need to interact with patients! One of the WORST physicians I have ever seen in my life! On my very first (and only) visit with her she asked absolutely no questions of me. She took one look at me and said that I was not a good candidate for knee replacement surgery … More
Polite professional and knowledgeable in assessing my particular issue!
At first seemed to be caring, very quickly I discovered her to be rude. She doesn't listen to you while you speak and not very detailed as she passes you along to another doctor. As if it didn't take weeks to call me on a MRI result. I needed an additional clearance from ortho to go along with my other doctors clearance to go back to work on restriction. Couldn't get a word in to fax over FMLA form while she talked and probably assumed I was out of work for no reason. I will be finding another location for my surgery.
Go to a vet first, or a witch doctor.
I have never had any issues with her. She is very professional and at the same time can be very friendly."

It has been my experience that this doctor put a plate in my body that has caused nothing but intense pain for the past year. I would never go back to this orthopedic practice because of this surgery.
I had knee surgery done by her and refer to her as the butcher. Wouldn’t send my worst enemy to see her.

I thought orthropedic partners takes pride in the commitment to patient care and that patients had the right to considerate and courteous care, don't expect that from this doctor. She has a terrible bedside manner, she is extremely rude and dismissive. I saw her for less than five minutes, and she barely said a word. Just nodded "uh huh" while i tried to explain my symptoms. When i asked for something to take for the pain while i wait for my MRI, and she literally yelled at me. She's miserable.

My Veterinarian is more considerate. This physician is in my estimation a horror show. She spent about 3 minutes with me (not an exaggeration) said i needed a referral. Explained nothing and walked out of the room. We thought she was going to return, but shortly after her Nurse came in and walked us out for a Hospital appointment. We were referred to a physician without knowing his name, and when we called to find out they stone walled us.
