Doctor Darby was my childhood psychiatrist who I came to for help after my pcp would no longer take my case. Now, my mom didn’t exactly enjoy our time at doctor Darby’s, because he’s not going to tell you what you want to hear. But just because what he has to say is hard to hear, doesn’t mean it isn’t true or helpful. His advice has absolutely saved me multiple times throughout my childhood and even into my adult life. He’s not just med or therapy kind of doctor; he will teach you the positive coping mechanisms you need to get a handle on your life, even when it feels you’re falling into chaos. Dr. Darby saved my son's life! While he may not have the best bedside manner, he more than makes up for that in his diagnosis, experience, knowledge. I have been consistently managing my child's mental health from age 10 to now 18 years old. My son came to see Dr. Darby when he was 15 and he had his meds balanced within 3 months. A lifetime of trying to get there and Dr. Darby knew exactly what he needed. He gave me my son back. Dr. Darby saved my son's life! Due to Dr. Darby being a psychiatrist, I wont go into specifics. But, every aspect of my care and treatment has been absolutely amazing, and effective

Dr. Darby is by far the best around hands down. Actually cares and remembers things about your life even after a couple months of not seeing him. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone. You changed my life Dr. Darby, and for that I could never thank you enough.

i would never recommend this guy to ANYONE. On a few occasions I called him about my meds and he literally SCREAMED at me over the phone. I had to remind him he is a psychiatrist in the mental health field. I often asked him if this is how he treated his other patients. From my experience he has no respect for people and treats people as just a number. He has NO sympathy for people in the mental health. BEWARE i would never recommend this guy to ANYONE. I've been with this man for eleven years of my life, He's always treated me with kindness and sympathy. He's a great listener and his help has gotten me extremely far in life, and I wouldn't have been able to be where I am today without him.

Dr. Darby is a fantastic psychiatrist. Those who say he’s not are obviously mistaking him for a psychologist or expecting him to accept their excuses for their behavior. He is very direct, which we love, and holds patients accountable. We have been taking our son to Dr. Darby since August. He was able to diagnose him properly, and treat him correctly. My son absolutely hated Dr. Darby the first time we went to see him. That was perfectly fine with me, because my son was in the wrong, and Dr. Darby held him 100% responsible for his behavior. After that first appointment, my son has come around, and truly enjoys seeing Dr. Darby now. Dr. Darby is a fantastic psychiatrist. Dr. Darby has been great. He listens to his client’s, no matter their age and genuinely wants to hear their feedback. He keeps the conversation on track while still making everything his client says feels relevant and important. He is rational about his diagnosis and also is very knowledgeable about what types of medications to prescribe or if other options would perhaps be best. He is great with adolescents and makes them feel respected. Can’t recommend him enough!

Doctor Darby is very considerate and very helpful. He is easy to communicate with, always returns calls in a very timely manner, and is always on time with his appointments. He listens and cares about his patients and is considerate about any condition or situation you may be going through. Life is ever changing and Dr. Darby is aware of this. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this knowledgeable man and highly recommend him to anyone in need of services he provides. Ten+ Gold Star!

He has been my psychiatrist for years, BECAUSE he is the only psychiatrist I have found that I GENUINELY know is looking out for my best interest. (and I have been to a lot. Lol) He establishes a comfortable and safe environment. Not a quack pill pusher. In fact, he recommends a LOT of holistic therapy. Obviously some of us do need medication, but he does his research and tries to find the least toxic to the body, and the most beneficial to the brain. He has helped me to make SO much progress in my lIfe, that I have recommended him to my own family, and I recommend him to anyone reading this. ???? Was abrupt on the phone, like I was wasting his time when I had a couple questions. Just felt like he wasn't interested in asking any indepth questions during our sessions. Found him a tad creepy, old, and he uses very outdated software and hardware. Felt he was quick to write out a medication script without asking enough questions.
