Dr. Paris Taylor Mansmann

Dr. Mansmann has truly changed my life. After a full year of every symptom imaginable and not being able to get out of bed/ eat due to histamine, he fully listened, took notes, and never once questioned anything I was saying. He did normal allergy testing but ALSO tested my sinuses for eosinophils. I’ve talked to several people who have seen other doctors that didn’t test for this. A healthy person would have none show up and my slide had thousands. After just two appointments, he has concluded I’ve been suffering from rheumatic fever! This is so rare and they don’t test for it anymore but can be caused from untreated strep. After just 2 appointments, I am 90% better. We are so appreciative of his kindness, knowledge, and problem-solving. I never leave reviews but I know he will help so many! Highly recommend.

Absolutely horrible. I was prescribed a medication that I was told that I would have to take first dose at the clinic because of a possible anaphylactic reaction. After prescribing the medication the doctor left for vacation for 10 days. So I waited. Called to set up a time to take the first dose. They were either closed or not available. It would be another week before I could even start. Frustrated, I explained I was aware of the significance of a reaction. I told them I would sit outside of our local hospital e.r with my husband who was a paramedic and has dealt with this issue Many times. I had no reaction and the medication worked. I called and asked for a refill and I was told they would not because I did not take the first dose in front of them. I paid hundreds of dollars! I’m not sure if it was ego on their part or the fact that they don’t believe we have the right to make intelligent decisions for our own health. If they are going to expect people to take medication in front of them they need to have more people on staff. Absolutely ridiculous!

I called for a NP appointment. When the receptionist called me back she quickly stated that they do not work with many insurance's. I stated that this was okay because I would be a cash paying patient. She asked if I had insurance. I replied that I did, but the insurance company would not cover their services therefore I would be a cash paying client. She asked what insurance I had. When I told her, she stated that they do not work with my insurance and hung up on me. A friend that had worked with this doctor highly recommended him, but had also forewarned me of the receptionist. I thought I was prepared, but what the heck...?!? I would still like to work with the doc, but cannot get past the receptionist...;

Rude!! I would never go here even if they allowed it! Will refuse to see clients with MaineCare even if MaineCare is a secondary insurance and you have for example Anthem.. they also won’t take cash. I’d like to pay for my appointment upfront with cash and they say no. They wound give any reason as to why. They way the simply refused to even speak to me in my inquiry about becoming a new patient is discriminatory. Do me a favor call them and inquire like I did and tell them this is wrong. Dr Mansmann diagnosed my condition correctly 8 years ago, which was not a common condition. I do a follow up once a year so he can monitor me and answer my questions. I am always pleased with the familiarity and patience that he displays. It's like last year's visit was yesterday. I also appreciate the way the waiting room is managed. I don't have to worry about what I may encounter, since they have rules about masks and perfumes, products and scents. The bonus -- the receptionist is simply a lovely person!

I love this office! Only doctor's office I can take a child with a severe sunflower allergy into without worrying that he will come home sicker from sitting in the waiting room! I know their "no product" policy must be very challenging to police but I so appreciate their herculeon efforts to keep all of their patients healthy!

Dr Mansmann is amazing. Saved my life. Love his receptionist too. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

It should be ZERO stars. I was told the doctor is great, I wouldn't know, couldn't get past his secretary/wife. I called to set up an appointment to be seen. Was told that I would have to have all my deductible money up front. I asked for the insurance codes. Called my health trust and was told I had a $40 copay for the specialist visit and the allergy testing was 100% covered (deductible not needed). Called Dr. Mansmann's office back. Was told that what ever information I had was incorrect. They demanded the deductible amount, period. I asked her to call my insurance and verify and was told you can have them call me, I don't have time to call them. So I made an appointment elsewhere. Even with insurance that covers 100 %, they still won't work with you. Very rude, very nasty. I'm sick of these offices demanding payment when none is due. Sounds like insurance fraud to me. Once again although he is in my insurance he will not schedule an appointment as he states I was Discharged from his practice due to an incident with his Office. The reality is they are unwilling to complete paper work for Medicare or Veterans insurance plans. I offered to pay up front and file my own insurance as a private pay patient. They stated I needed a new referral which I did but still refused to schedule an appointment and hung up on me, stating it was beneath them to accept Medicare or Veterans benefits.

Dr. MANSMANN is a great Physician, sadly he employs his wife. Leslie has no people skills. Is rude and has no compassion. I have United Healthcare advantage Medicare plan. She will not take my referral even though Dr. Mansmann is a United Healthcare Provider, and I shouldn't even need a referral. Dr. Mansmann knows his stuff! He listened patiently and attentively while I explained the skin issue I was having as well as my health history, and in about five minutes he diagnosed me with a food allergy that I would NEVER have guessed (I eat it all the time!). He confirmed it with tests, but I was amazed that he could predict the problem that easily (my GP did a blood allergy test that didn't answer anything). After following Dr. Mansmann's instructions for eliminating that food (including neutralized all of the dishes in my house with vinegar) my symptoms completely stopped and I've been clear for 6 months now. Astounding. Now, the office itself is definitely small and a bit "mom and pop" like, with his wife serving as receptionist. Let's just say that she doesn't have your typical customer service flair, but if you know that going in and remember to bring cash for your copay (preferred to save them a card fee), it's all fine. I went to Dr. Mansmann for many years, and had a terrific experience. He was kind and patient, and always took time to answer in detail any questions that I had. Moreover, his staff, including the receptionist, were always exceptional. I enjoyed my many visits with them. After his diagnosis and a series of shots over several months, Dr. Mansmann cured allergies I had had since I was a little boy. I cannot recommend him and his team more highly or thank him enough. Dr. Mansmann is a life saver, literally. I went down a number of rabbit holes before I was finally referred to Dr. Mansmann. One visit and he had me on the right path to healing!

I have been a patient of this office for approximately 18 yrs. initially traveling from Bangor and continuing now that I live in Southern Maine. Dr Mansmann is very knowledgeable, kind compassionate and has been instrumental in diagnosing and treating my difficult heath issues. I’ve seen that repeatedly in others I have referred as well. As one with multiple allergies I appreciate the product free stance In the office knowing I can come to the office without being triggered. Ease in scheduling especially when I need to be seen quickly has always been appreciated. I highly recommend this Physician and trust the care I receive.

I have been seen twice in this office in November/December 2019. The first appointment was awful and it was with great hesitation that I went to my second appointment. Fortunately, his receptionist/wife was not present on the second appointment. While he is thorough and knowledgeable, her behavior is incredibly rude and demeaning.

Dr Mansmann was nice and tried to help my child with an autoimmunity issue but when it became clear it wasn't working, he quite literally abandoned us without follow up. The wife/receptionist was beyond rude and never called us back or gave us a follow up referral, including upon pediatrician request. My sense is that if your issue is bread-and-butter allergy he's good but if its complicated then Boston or a more specialized expert is needed.

Without Dr. Mansman I would've died several years ago when I was 14-15. He completely changed my life and actually LISTENED to me. I had seen numerous Dr's all over the country who claimed to be specialists for 7 years before he was able to diagnose a rare immune disorder. Dr Mansmann is second to none! This is a family run business and is awesome to deal with. They were able to help three of my kids with problems that couldn't figure out issues, including Boston hospital. Dr Mansmann's ability to recall research that had been done in years past on certain conditions is remarkable! His daughter is equally able to treat what others can not. Wonderful. Doc and his staff have been wonderful to us. With their help we have gotten my son to "feel better" physically, mentally, and emotionally about his situation. Doc and staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Dr. Mansman is fantastic. I have tried to convince MDs that I have a rare allergy and I didn’t have to convince him, not only did he believe me, but he told me things I didn’t know. Like an actual doctor should.

The receptionist/wife was awful. Never go here. Doctor Mansmann is good. But the overall experience was terrible. She was rude and threatened to not release my test results...

Dr Mansmann is great. He diagnosed an allergy that has been plaguing me for 15 years. The receptionist is a little brief on the phone, but she's actually really nice in person.

I have struggled with a lot of weird issues my whole life and nobody could figure out what my problem was. I've literally cried in allergist offices before. Within the first 10 min of my appointment Dr. Mansmann realized it was a rare allergy, told me what to avoid, and now I feel so much better. However, I feel like I wish he would sit with me a bit more and help me with my questions. He seems a bit brief in his responses.

Dr. Mansmann really changed my life. His diagnosis after years of dealing with sinus issues led me to a cure and a new quality of life - really fabulous person and doctor.

I'm responding primarily to the first reviewer who gave this doctor a 1 star review because he didn't like the receptionist. Ridiculous. I counter with a five star rating, having not yet seen the doctor yet, but because I did have a perfectly pleasant phone experience with the receptionist.
