Giving a star because I have to. I wish I would have read all the reviews before going to her. She is dismissive, disorganized, condescending, and arrogant. Keeps you waiting, if she shows-up at all because they overbook her constantly. Every visit it's as if she's meeting you for the first time and doesn't remember your medical history. Her office is also disorganized . . . Left a message in the portal, and spoke to her assistant a few months ago, promised she'd call back . . . Still waiting. Find someone else.

I've been seeing Doctor Martin for over 15 years. There were times in the past, that I had reservations, but those were about the office management and not the Doc. She herself is warm, funny, knowledgeable, and a serious people person. I have never felt rushed, nor patronized, nor felt that there was any issue that I could not discuss with her. In recent years her office has also become much better organized. I cannot recommend her enough.

Dr. Martin is a true professional. She listens well. She always describes her diagnosis and the treatment plan she recommends in terms that are understandable. Dr. Martin and her staff at North Hills Family Medicine are quick to respond to appointment requests and other questions submitted through the patient portal. Prescription issues and lab test results are, also, quickly resolved through the patient portal. If you are searching for a physician that is accessible and responsive to your requests, you need search no further.

Dr. Martin used to practice here in Virginia Beach. I was one of her first patients when she was an intern and I felt then that this is going to be a wonderful doctor-patient relationship! Loved her bedside manner, very professional and very attentive to all my concerns. I hated when she got married and moved to Texas. You all are so lucky to have her. If you want to be treated like you are stupid and wait for hours with no explanation she is the DR for you. Dr. Martin was an hour and a half late for my appointment and didn't acknowledge my long wait, nor did the office when I expressed concern that they had forgotten about me. She spoke down to me and didn't listen to my health concern. She had a script she followed and when I asked a question she did not acknowledge it. She talks constantly and does not listen to learn only to respond. My sinus issues did not clear up on the steroid she prescribed, so I required follow up. Again she talked to down to me and told me I was lucky she called back. This after I left a message for her nurse, her office manager and on her medical online portal over the course of 36 hours. She told me I had not done my part in contacting her correctly. When I told her I had left multiple messages with various people and online she said she didn't have record of them. Just plain bad service.

This clinic is terrible - any time I've come here I've waited at least an hour to be seen. Also, I've been trying to get them to fax my records over to a specialist for 5 days now and they won't even respond to me. I've emailed them 3 times with no response. I just tried calling them at 6:45pm since office hours are until 7pm. I got their answering service. The answering service informed me they have no way to leave a message for the office. I was at her clinic at 9 am on Sat when walk ins are first come first served with bronchitis. I just had a negative covid test and after I saw 12 other patients go in and out I finally left after 3 1/2 hours of waiting out in my car. Horrible service.

Very poor service. To get a simple vaccine shot, they'll get you to come for an annual check up then after the check up they tell you they don't have the vaccine and come back when they receive it. I was given misinformation about getting my wheelchair. She told me that I had to find a mobility specialist and go and find the mobility device I needed. The mobility company told me that I need prescription from my doctor. I would call and leave message for months and received no response. I had made a appointment to see her to get help with mobility device but I never got the help I needed. This went on for 14 months.I had to get United Healthcare to step in and get her to finally send someone to my home. Both of my legs do not bend. It only took 8 weeks to get my scooter, not 14 months. needless to say I had to find a new doctor. The mobility store faxed the paperwork to my new doctor and it was faxed back to the store ALL while I was still on the phone. I was given misinformation about getting my wheelchair. Excellent doctor!

I am a caregiver and two of my patients see Dr. Martin. I have never had any issues with communication, and Dr. Martin really takes her time to make sure the patient is doing well and doesn’t have any questions or concerns. She has a very bright and pleasant personality and you just feed off of her energy that she brings into the room. I highly recommend her and her staff! Dr. Martin was the first and only doctor to take me seriously when I addressed some concerns that I had about my health. She never rushes through your appointment and listens to you while being fully attentive the entire time that you are in her office. I’ve had poor experiences with other doctors who I felt rushed through my appointment or just totally neglected some of my concerns. I recommend her because of how well she tends to her clients because it shows that she cares. Scheduling over the phone was easy and the scheduler was kind and efficient. Clinic itself is clean and I was able to socially distance myself. Check-in process was great. Medical Assistant was kind and knowledgeable. I did wait a bit longer than expected for Dr. Martin, HOWEVER let me just make it clear to all you whiners out there. Primary care covers a plethora of issues and most of the time, the provider goes in to see the patient for one thing and as we do, we bring up other ailments -which require more time. So be patient. Bottom line: Dr. Martin gave me her sincere, undivided attention at my appointment and spent time with me that I really needed from her. This clinic is very convenient to my house. I have lived in the Keller Area for more than 20 years and have always visited my primary care physician in Grapevine. I was referred to Dr Martin by a friend. When I met Dr Martin I knew then I had found a physician for life. She has prayed with me through difficult times, when I felt like giving up. I love and appreciate her so, now my mother and my daughters are patients of hers. Dr Martin is very attentive and thorough to our medical needs. What I like most about her is if she don’t have a solution to your ailment she will definitely get the right doctor and follow up. I love her honesty and value that she offers me as a patient. Dr Martin has been taking care of me for 17 years. She is always looking out for me and makes sure that my insureance is covering any test she needs done. Over the years she has fought for me on the type of medication i had to have and the insureance didn't want to pay for it. After she got ahold of them i got the medication I needed with 999 refills left, yes that right 999 refills on it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pamela Martin's since she established her practice here in Keller, more than 15 years ago. I love her strict - no nonsense, yet caring and compassionate bedside manner. She and Nurse Ty are on top of all my medical needs. Dr. Martin never fails to make inquiries as to my family's health and well-being. What excites me about her practice even more now is the opportunity to communicate directly with her via the patient portal. As a patient, all these many years, I have seen tremendous growth and progress in her entire organization. With respect to areas like - on site access to LabCorp and specialists, walk-in patient care, weekend appointments, patient wait time, and follow up communication - I have only praise for the manner in which her office has evolved in an effort to meet patient needs and the demands of patient schedules. If you're looking for a physician, who is hands-on and will keep "wide"eyes on your health, I highly recommend Dr. Pamela Martin.

Dr Martin has been my doctor since 2007. I trust her to make calls on my care. She has never been wrong in her diagnosis.

Dr Martin explained the process of selecting the right surgeon and helped by giving several references over time until I found the right doctor for me. I've been seeing her for years and find her to be forthright with my healthcare when I'm hesitant to face it. Although others may not, I appreciate and at times need her style of encouragement. And, I know that she does care about my well-being.

The front desk staff do not seem to be welcoming to the practice. Rarely smile.

I highly recommend Dr. Martin. I am new to the area and she has been very caring. She makes me feel like I am safe in her care. She explains things where I can understand and will answer all my questions without feeling rushed out the door. I am so glad that I found her.

She listens, takes her time talking to me and doesn’t make me feel rushed. Been going to her for about 10 years so she knows me Always help me with any issues. I have recommended her to several people who go to her. Never had a problem.

I find Dr. Martin to be thorough with her questions and very attentive to my answers. She seems interested in me both as a patient and a person. She explains her decisions in a way I can understand . Had a visit with Doctor Martin today at 3:30. At 4:20 I'm walking out to door. Love going to North Hills Family Medicine. All the staff are helpful, friendly and professional. Doctor Martin has a passion for her patients that you just don't see much anymore.

Would not recommend her to anyone. She is not a good doctor. For some reason I kept going back thinking my social anxiety was to blame. Nope, she has absolutely no bed side manner! No empathy what so ever. I went in for a possible miscarriage and was pretty much ignored. And she ended up turning to the fact that I’m over weight and talking about how I should just get up and exercise. I was sitting there like “this is not what I came in for and just completely confused” I had literally been bleeding for 3 weeks and passed tissue not a clot and she pretty much dismissed all that to point out that I’m fat. So... cue anxiety attack. I started crying pretty much realizing I had made the mistake of trusting my health care to this woman who proceeded to tell me how I’m ignorant and uneducated. Pointing out and literally said “I’m the one with the medical degree and you’re not”. As a woman I pride myself in knowing how my body should feel and shouldn’t. Don’t appreciate being belittled!!!

Dr. Martin is smart.....Thorough and complete with her diagnosis’s. Quick and efficient. She has aN understandable plan for your treatment. I continue to walk out of her office at peace with her treatment for me. She is good.

I've been a patient of Dr. Martin since 2016. My first visit I felt she was very knowledgeable. She went over my medical history and issue by issue. Dr. Martin told me what I needed to do keep healthy. I believe if you are looking for a Doctor who gives you the facts I recommend Dr. Martin. Now at times she been off schedule but that's because she may have a critical patient in the office. The nurses in Dr. Martin office are professional and polite. My experience with the front desk has always been good. I have not had any issues with setting up appointments.

BUYERS REMORSE! I believe she is a good physician however its the details in the practice that are lacking. I am a provider. I take good care of my patients however I pay particular attention to the details such as follow up with labs, referrals, and medication refills. That does not happen with this office. I want to receive care similar to the care I give. I want and expect the five star treatment I give to my patients. It is just not here.

i waited over 3 1/2 hours(!) for an appointment i'd waited a month for, nurse just seemed confused, disinterested. doctor was more focused on telling me her issues than on me and tried to end the appointment without performing the well woman check/pap that i had come for. nurse delayed calling in meds then called them in again about 2 weeks later. nurse, dr won't return calls or if you leave 2 numbers (cell& Work) and specify when to call on each number, they seem to purposely call the number they know you won't answer to leave a fast, uninformative message. I will not return to her and may not return to No Hills fam med because of lousy front office assistance. also, the labcorp they share an office with is the worst lab, worst techs i've ever dealt with in over 50 years of medical care. too many other GOOD choices to get trapped by dr martin, her staff.

Wish I could give her a negative star. I will never go to her again. 2 hour wait time, nurse very rude, nonresponsive to pharmacy request. Never received medication due to her office not responding to pharmacy.

Great doctor

Has been my physician for over 10 years and have referred her to friends. The wait time can sometimes be long, but I think it's because she will give you the attention you require once it's your turn. No matter how long I've waited, I have never been disappointed with her level of knowledge and care.

Not good!!!! My first visit and not impressed. She didn’t take a look at me at all, checked nothing. I spoke about being over weight and how depressed I felt and she made me feel worse. Left me in the room to pick up copies and held a lengthy conversation with staff about a t.v. show. No concern for patients. I was so out done the next morning I woke up with her on my mind and how inconsiderate she was about my health. No compassion! Even touched a little on my personal life. Wow!!! Never Again

This lady almost killed me. I had a ruptured appendix she missed diagnosed sent me home and told me to have an enema. Later that evening rushed to the hospital soon as I walked in the nurse knew what was wrong. If you value your or family members life STAY AWAY!!!!

She has been my doctor for over 14 years. She has care for me and kept me healthy. I find her very trustworthy and reliable.

I have been a resident of Keller for over 20 years and have been seeing Dr. Pam for much of that time. She is also the PCP for my daughter and husband as well. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Martin to anyone. She is always 45 minutes to an hour late. My last visit she basically scolded me. She is completely unprofessional. When I go to the doctors I want to feel cared about, she doesn’t care at all about her patients. She also yelled at one of the employees in front of me, and the lady was basically in tears. Receptionists are sweet and get the job done.

I got there at 12:30 they close at 1 I was turned away because they had too many people waiting I was told to come back tomorrow I informed them that I work tomorrow during their business hours sorry we can't help you I've never been to a doctor's office that offers urgent care that turned you away because there's too many people waiting and I made it before your office closed I would never recommend this location nor this doctor to anyone.

Doctor Martin is great, but her office nurse will never call you back. After 13 years, my family needs to find a new Doctor office.

Dr. Martin saw me as a first time patient when I was dealing with stress, shingles, and grief after the death of my father. She insisted I take more time off work and take care of myself. She was very attentive and listened to me. I would highly recommend her. Though I did have a long wait, she spent lots of time listening to me and made me feel so much better emotionally.

Has little or no concern for patient. It's all about her! A1 was out of site. She wanted to immediately put me on insulin. She did not read my file as I had been on steroids for breathing which sends your A1 out of site. Refused to wait 3 months for new A1. When I did take it it was 7.4. How about that Doc?? Close to normal. This doctor is no good...

Dr. Martin has been my doctor for the past year. She takes so much time with me, she is personable, humorous and kind. It is refreshing to have a female doctor because she understands (as a female) about the issues we face. The office is extremely caring and professional as well.

If you don't mind being talked down to criticized and never have any of questions answered then dr. Martin is the right person for you. But for me when I go see a doctor I feel like they should be able to answer the concerns that I have. Instead of being told to stop complaining about their thyroid levels and to join Jenny Craig. Her and her stuff are very rude, short and impatient. They do not return any of your phone calls. I have been trying since April to get my labs results from them.

Every time I would go I would not be seen until 1-2 hours AFTER my appointment time. Just like everyone else. If I asked about the wait she was dismissive and told me to talk to the office manager who conveniently was never there.

Horrible experience!! Find another doctor that cares... I was kept naked with paper tissue for over 2 hours... Yet, I was the one to blame?? Very arrogant and tries to over power you with her education. The other doctor in same building are great! Just don't do a walk in when she's the only one available...

I agree. I had a 10:15 appointment & was fasting because labs were going to be done. Kept me waiting until after noon while staff had lunch. Had to smell food whole time. No apology from the entitled princess. Very unfriendly, lousy bedside manner. Then because she took so long the offsite lab (next door) was closed for lunch & I had to wait even longer. It was 2pm before I could eat. Return phone calls are non existent. The only reason I even went to her is to get a referral to continue seeing my allergy doc because BCBS took away all PPO policies & she was one of the only docs near me that accept the horrible HMO we are having to live with now. Dr. Martin is an excellent doctor with excellent bedside manners, I never had a problem when talking to her face to face I do agree the waiting time at the front office is ridiculous more than 45 min, but when inside I never have to wait more than 10 min, I do have a problem with whoever is in charge of returning calls or faxing refills, I have work in the medical field and is very crucial for whoever is in charge to keep on top of all patients health messages and refills or a courtesy called.

Dr. Martin is a very affectionate person who truly demonstrate how much she cares. I have no complaints about her. Have been her patient for many years. She follows up, makes sure I have gone to see specialists she has recommended. She is an excellent very knowledgeable doctor. To me she is like a very loving relative. She inquires about my family........I love her so very much!

I would choose zero stars if I could. Will never recommend this dr to anyone. Two or more hours seems to be the standard wait time with her. My time is valuable too so either spread appointment times out farther apart and see fewer patients or limit your time with each patient. This is completely unacceptable, incredibly rude and unprofessional.

it took her a year and 3 lost lab results to find out about my father had cancer. now she is doing to me with telling me i have ultrasound appointments but never getting them scheduled.

I love her staff and her! She is great at what she does and Is very thorough. The wait time is high but that is because she gives you her undivided attention and will assist you in any way possible. I also like that she has walk ins available. No matter the reviews, check her out for yourself! I have sent several people to her and they love her and her expertise like I do. I'm a 5 year patient and love that they know me and take care of me every time....and I love Tyesha!

I have been waiting for more than 2 hours to see the doctor for a "scheduled" appointment. TWO HOURS!!! No apologies. Nothing. It's like the doctor is a No-Show. Shame on you Dr. Martin! Shame on you!

Coming to this medical center was the biggest mistake ever! The communication between Dr and patient and patient and staff is horrible. I was scheduled for a hysterectomy and this Dr ruined it for me. Now I am having to wait even longer for a much needed surgery. I would be told one thing while staff would do another. I should be in surgery right now but because of thier incompetence my surgery was canceled. Do not waste your time with this Dr or facility.

Three complaints: 1. Long wait times to see doctor after having vitals taken (over an hour last visit) 2. Prescriptions being denied to pharmacy mailing company 3. Referral to specialist not sent

Very friendly. However runs an intolerable practice. First the reception desk is ran by two young ladies who will giggle and snicker back and forth showing eachother their cell phones at the front desk while you wait on them. Once you finally get their attention they always look bothered. 3/4 times I've been there. I initially was going for T treatment. Set schedule every Tuesday afternoon. Even that would take an hour each visit. Out of the tree times I went shortest wait was 40 mins.

I actually did not see this Dr. She had a family emergency the day I came, so I saw her PA who was awesome. Dr Martin front desk ladies have been very hard to work with. I was told "I don't have Time to work on this anymore" when asking for some help. I was also called by one of the ladies at the front who gave me information with no supporting evidence, and after hours of researching I found out she was completely wrong.

She is a good doctor but the wait times have gotten longer and longer over the years. Last couple of wait times were between 2 to 3 hours. Dr. Martin is awesome however I must agree with the other reviews front desk personnel not friendly at all, they have never been that rude just not friendly at all. The wait time is long but I think she's worth it.

I have been seeing Dr Martin for about 7 years now and absolutely love her. She's funny, intelligent, and very caring. The one thing that I do not like is the wait times. I've voiced my concerns about long wait times and wish that practice would set better expectations if the wait times are going to be long.

My first experience was awful. I was made to wait 1.5 hours in pain, during which other patients came in and went home after being seen, and the staff kept playing the same broken record, you are next. When Dr, Martin did come in, she did not seem apologetic, instead, she rudely retorted if I wanted to be seen or not. Very recently, I had to wait 2 weeks before finally calling her nurse to have DR. Martin go over my lab results.She still has not given me the specialist referral after 3 weeks

She is very condescending and will not let you get a word in. She automatically assumes that the patient is an absolute idiot - huge egomaniac! I would not see her again even if I was on fire!

Dr Martin and staff was extremely professional and help my situation in the best way. I would highly recommend her services to all my families and friends.

Dr. Martin consistently dismissed my concerns over my elevated blood pressure. I went 2 months of it being elevated with only 1 change in any meds to control it and that was only a change in dosage and not an actual medicine to control it. I've decided to change PCPs and will definitely not recommend her to any of my friends.

Such a wonderful Doctor'' I work in health care have been for year in hospitals in clinics so I truly can say she is GREAT '' she takes the time to talk to you in ask how you are doing .I fill very comfortable when I come in for what ever I need . You picked the right field Dr Martin you are truly amazing'' .

A wonderful experience. Low wait time, and Dr. Martin really listened to all of my numerous concerns.

The wait time for a scheduled appointment is over 2 hours every single time but she somehow still has an excuse every time. When I went to check out the reception tried to charge me $100 even though my deductible had been met and I shouldn't have owed anything for the visit. The doctor was walking by while we were trying to figure it out and got in my face saying the sample she gave me would have been $300 so I should basically just be grateful and pay my bill. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING? First of all, it was a sample. Something she gets free from reps. Second, I have amazing insurance that pays for my meds so it would have been free anyways. But that still has nothing to do with them trying to charge me for a visit that my insurance covers at 100%. The receptionist finally figured out I was right and fixed it. Then, I find out that they owe me almost $40 from my last visit over a year ago from over charging me. At the time I just thought I hadn't met my deductible yet and didn't know this place was a scam. But did I get a check in the mail or a phone call? Nope. They just kept my money. I will never ever be back.
