Dr. P Douglas Young JR.

Only saw him one time and was having severe health problems early on in my pregnancy. Had been to the emergency room and had 18k wbc, which he didn’t bring up at all and when I brought it up to him he cut me off and told me it was normal to have wbc up to 15k so I decided I would just stop wasting my time and go see a doctor who actually listened and cared about me. Total waste of my time which btw I drove to his office in the middle of a snow storm and he was just worried about getting me out so he could go home. Pretty much told me nobody was going to hell me feel better until I was 14 weeks pregnant and I was only 8 at the time. He tried to push of prescriptions for naseau medications when I had already been to the er and told I needed my gallbladder completely removed.

I had to travel outside of my area to find a doctor in my network, which turned out to be a blessing. After I read the reviews, I made my first appointment. Now I leave my own 5 star review. Dr. Young has taken very good care of me, along with the nurses in his office and at Saint Joseph's hospital during my surgery. I feel very comfortable and confident choosing Dr. Young. Dr. Young took care of both of my girls and me during my last 2 pregnancies. I had complications with my last delivery and Dr. Young saved my life. I will forever be thankful for him.

He is the best of the best. I have finally found a doctor that actually genuinely cares and listens. He will take the time and thoroughly explain anything you have questions about. After horrible experiences with prior gynos I’m glad I met Dr. Young! Would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Young is great! I moved here from another state and had to find all new doctors. Someone suggested him and come to find out he is great!

If you are looking for a personable, down to earth doctor, look no further. Dr. Young delivered both of my children, and me and my wife couldn't be happier. Gone are the vibes of being afraid to ask questions, No need to feel afraid to be honest and down to earth, Dr. Young and all his staff make you feel right at home. By far the best doctor I've ever met. He is kind, caring, and will address any of your concerns. He is also very quick on his feet. Our daughter is going to be born early and I know that I am in great hands with Dr young. My husband and I have been highly impressed by him since our very first appointment. Front office professionally resolved an appointment misunderstanding. Dr. Young puts foremost his patient medical needs.

He is very Thorough in making sure your baby and you are healthy and makes you feel very comfortable! Highly recommended!

Great doctor and a great nurse! He takes his time and is very thorough. He also has a wonderful bedside manner. I’m so glad I found this practice.

I do not feel 5 stars are truly enough, i would give 10 if i could. Professional, yet, kind, caring and compassionate. Excellent staff, office is super clean, great parking. Dr. Young's bedside manner is second to none. Very knowledgable and I trust him. Which says it all

Great doctor and staff. He made a judgement call during my procedure and it saved me having a second procedure later. Looks out for the patient.

Dr. Young is absolutely amazing. He is the most caring doctor I have ever had. Personally calling after office hours to check up on things. Answering any questions in ways that you can understand. Completely supportive of what you do and don't want. Very friendly and funny and supportive. If we ever decide to have more kids I will go back to him.

Dr. Young broke my water when my baby was not engaged causing serious complications because he wanted to speed the process up so he could watch the Cardinals game. He turned the fetal monitor volume all the way down when my baby was having distress. The nurses were not happy with him and neither were we. Being a nurse myself i expressed concern about the fetal heart tones and he said "dont worry i wont give you a short bus rider". My son almost died because of him. So much more to say but no roo

Patient since 2010. Dr. Young always makes me feel like a friend instead of a patient. He treats me with respect but also breaks down the appointment in easy to understand terms and is a realist with me. I'm currently pregnant and am very excited to spend the next 8 months with Dr. Young as my OB.
