Been a patient of Dr. Ramirez for 15 + years. He is a wonderful doctor. He listens to you and is very thorough and cares about his patients.

Outstanding medical services and advice, i have been a patient of Dr. Ramirez for the past 12 years receiving excellent medical care and treatment every single time.

I had a great experience with the nurses and Dr Ramirez they made sure I was taken care of through my endoscopy experience and foremost God was in charge of the whole process guiding and directing all hands involved amen.

Dr Ramirez is a fabulous doctor who always takes the time to fully explain conditions. His staff is excellent as well. Definitely a five star doctor.

The process went without a hitch…. Got into the procedure early, the nurses and staff subsided my anxiety and made me feel comfortable. The doctor explained the procedure to me and In a blink of an eye it was over and done. Dr. Ramirez is definitely my doctor for my gastroenterology needs.

Couldn’t have had a better experience with Dr Ramirez and staff at the Topperwein site! Wait time in lobby was less than 10 minutes. I was done with check in, the procedure and check out in less than an hour! Great efficiency and not once did I feel rushed to be pushed out. Dr Ramirez took his time to discuss findings and has a great bedside manner.

Dr. Ramirez has been my GI doctor since 2018. He's always friendly and answers all of my questions. He's never in a rush, he always takes his time to address any concerns I may have. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. I'm very happy and grateful to be his patient. Would definitely recommend Dr. Ramirez to anyone!

A job well done

All the staff were absolutely amazing. The professionalism that I received was outstanding.

Dr. Ramirez is perhaps the best Gastroenterologist in San Antonio. I highly recommend Dr. Ramirez to our Veteran Community. If you have a civilian consult approved by VA Audie Murphy and I highly recommend Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. They are the best in the area, only minutes from Schertz/Cibolo.

I had been having a very difficult time getting in to see my regular GI doctor and Dr. Ramirez made time for me to come in. He had reviewed my chart and was very kind and helpful. I will be seeing Dr. Ramirez from now on. The staff was very professional and also kind. Thank you to all.

Had a VA consult with Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio and had the privilege of working with Dr. Ramirez. The entire process with the group was seamless. They provided me with instructions by email and had a couple phone calls with me prior to my procedure. On the morning of the procedure, I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Ramirez, he was kind and had great bedside manner. In addition to that, my experience from check-in to the end of the procedure seemed effortless and was pleasant. I am fortunate to state that the results of my procedure was good. All the staff were very attentive. I was kept informed every step of the way. I would recommend this facility.

The staff were professional, and polite. They made me feel comfortable, explanation of the procedure was clear. I got a call after the procedure to check up on me.

From the time I walked in, to the time I walked out the staff were so sweet and knowledgeable and put me at ease. Dr. Ramirez is an amazing Dr. He has a very calming way about him. Through my procedure and even after while I was in recovery he kept me informed. I chose to do my procedure without anastasia (not doing that again lol) Dr. Rameriz told me if I felt at all uncomfortable we would stop and reschedule. That infact did happen. The procedure stopped right there. I've never had a Dr do that! Hands down best experiance.Thank you Dr. Rameriz and staff.

Excellent experience !!! The process could not have gone any better for my colonoscopy!!! I was a new patient and the consultation was quick and easy. Staff was friendly, professional and thorough. I didn't have to wait a long time for my appointment, I was able to get scheduled the following week. They called in my script, sent a text message to remind me of the appt. I went to the Toepperwein location which was very clean and the staff was taking patients back promptly. Dr. Ramirez was very nice and asked me several questions just prior to the procedure just to make sure we were on the same page. I received a follow up call the following day - they were checking to see if everything went well. I appreciate everyone at Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio. Highly recommend them!!!

I am grateful my oncologist referred me to Dr. Oscar Ramirez during treatment for my first cancer. Dr. Ramirez found an abnormality during the upper GI which turned out to be new unrelated cancer- caught early. He knew exactly what he was looking at and sat down to explain it to me in simple terms that even I could understand. Understand and not be terrified. He and his amazing team have really helped me thru the maze to stay on track and help get me through some very tough times. They are patient with my unreliable schedule and forgetful ways, Covid no help. Like a second family. I appreciate that during check-ups he updates me on my current status and still takes the time to go back to review the steps I need to take to remain on a positive track. They're in business because they genuinely care.

Ramirez He is my gastroenterologist specialist and he take care about me of my Colonoscopy screening and i thing he was a Super Professional Dr. of this Campus of gastroenterology. If you never had a colonoscopy after 40, my recommendation is that you make an initial appointment with Dr. Oscar Ramirez and begin the process. Dr Ramirez has been my Gastro for many years. He was the doc that diagnosed my Celiac. His office & himself are awesome! Communicates with any & all updates.

As a military retiree I have been seen almost exclusively at military facilities. Due to non- availability at the military hospital I was referred to the civilian sector. Having to coordinate my own appointment I contacted Dr. Ramirez's office and was screened courteously and professionally by the staff and was given an appointment date. I arrived for the appointment and was soon ushered in to my meeting with Dr. Ramirez. We discussed my case and was appreciative of the genuine and caring attitude of Dr. Ramirez. I was referred to Dr Ramirez by my primary care physician, and I think she made the perfect choice. My procedure went as smooth as could be expected and the staff is very professional but pleasant at the same time.

A very professional medical establishment, staff is kind and open to questions. Doctor Ramirez is also understanding and willing to give alternative methods that have worked if needed.

I was not given the option of an in-person appointment, which I was fine with. I was told the nurse would call me 30 minutes before my appointment to go over forms, and that the doctor would call me at 10:30 am. The nurse called the day before and I was unable to reach the phone. I called back within 30 minutes, but the office was already closed. The nurse stated in her voicemail that my appointment was for in-person, but there was a note that said “telemedicine” and could I please call back to verify (and leave a message). I did so and in my message I stated that my appointment was for telemedicine ONLY. I repeated this three times, and my name and phone number twice, asking for someone to call me back and if they couldn’t I would be expecting the doctor’s phone call at 10:30 am the next morning. When no phone call came, I called the office. The nurse said that they had not heard from me and so assumed I was coming into the office and that the doctor had been waiting on me to show. When I informed her that this was NOT the case, had never been the case, and that I had followed instructions to the letter, there was a very heavy sigh and I was told to wait for the doctor’s phone call IF he had time to call me. When the doctor did call, he said, “Since you were confused about your appointment...” I clarified AGAIN, I was NEVER confused. His staff was confused. He dismissed my clarification. When advised to schedule an endoscopy I explained that I would have to call back to do so as my husband needs new hearing aides and we must meet our deductible in order for our insurance to cover anything at all, therefore his hearing aides take precedence. Once we had the hearing aides, I could schedule the endoscopy and know that it was covered. His exact words were, “Ok, whatever, yes, that’s fine.” I must have assumed incorrectly that once again that this was noted in my file, because a nurse has called twice now asking me to schedule the endoscopy, despite my having stated that I could not at this time. I do not feel safe continuing treatment if I am to be blamed for someone else’s mistake and I’m not to be listened to when I speak. Had 3 procedures performed and the original problem that I went in for is still there and seems like it has gotten worse. I’m not sure what was fixed with the 3 visits because during my initial visit I explained what my problem was. After the last procedure the dr wanted to perform another procedure that was completely different than my original problem. When I asked about why I was still having the exact same problem I was basically told that I didn’t know what I was talking about and if there is something else then it would be addressed. So I basically paid for 3 procedures and still have the same problem and they added a different procedure on top of that. I canceled the last appointment and will have my original issue taken care of by someone else. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is the the facility was nice and the appointments were very quick I just didn’t get what I asked for and now I’m out all of that money. Edit: I’m not looking for a second opinion, I’m looking for someone that will do what I need to have done especially for all of the money that I spent. My appointment with Dr. Ramirez was via phone. He listened intently to all of my questions and concerns, and we came up with a game plan. I saw him five years ago, and he helped me at that time. I will be getting some tests done and plan to continue seeing Dr. Ramirez. I trust him and appreciate his approach.
