The office staff never picks up the phone and are very rude when you speak to them. And they are not helpful. The Dr. Perez prescribed my husband a medicine that causes dizziness even when he told him he’s getting dizzy and paid for the visit and still didn’t change the medicine. I didn’t do the labs, but did a x-ray and the doctor canceled my appointment because I didn’t do the labs. I wanted to know about the x-ray. This is a horrible place to go. Don’t waste your time. This office had 12 days to get a referral for me...I called them twice...the specialist called them also...they failed to get a referral...I have had 3 specialist complain to me that they send referrals several times to this office and the staff ignores them...unacceptable and a lack of respect for my time and health

Awful staff to deal with on a professional level .

Horrible place for a primary. They will charge you for stuff that was already done on your insurance and won't bother to check but will for sure send you the bill. Went to tampa florida med clinic and they confirmed they would have checked prior to charging me again ????. Happy i left. Be careful with this place

This office staff is unprofessional, unorganized and SEARCH for any reason to bill. No follow up...for best results you have to call MULTIPLE times, leave MULTIPLE messages and PRESS the issue. With respect to the "dr.'s profession" I won't out right accuse him of committing fraudulent practices...bbbbbbuuuutttttt...on a number of occasions the dr "requested" several unnecessary appointments (even with official documentation from a surgeon's office). I suffered a seizure last night and called the office to make a follow up appointment as recommended by the ER doctor today and was told by their office staff that I was not allowed to be seen in that office due to a previous debt. I asked for the agency info to verify the debt and was given the name of the agency and when asked for their number, I was told to Google it. I called again to ask for the number, since I called the wrong agency, and after verifying with the agency, the debt was paid since 02/2020, as I suspected. I called the office to advise that the debt of about $250 was already paid for and she proceeded to not even show empathy for my condition and said that I was not welcome in their office any longer. For me, it's not just the doctor to be accessed, which he was not my favorite either, but it's the entire staff that should show that they care for their patients. I don't recommend this office to anyone. They really get a 0 from me but I have to at least put 1. Dr. Perez has been my primary physician for 14 years. He listens. He cares! He does NOT rush you through as many doctors do to get as many patients seen in a day as possible to collect maximum fees.

Called the Doctor's Office 4x's today. I spoke with Dr. Oscar Perez last week regarding my medical condition. Dr. Perez asked to submit the required FMLA paperwork, which had already been done. Dr. Perez prescribed several medicines that have caused my vision to become blurry, and I am having chest pain. My first call, the receptionist answers with just "hello," I ask if this is Dr. Perez's office, and i get no response, no answer, just dead silence. I called back and get sent to voice mail. I call again, and they ask me to hold. I hold for almost 10 minutes before I hang up and redial. I dial again, and the person sends me to voice mail once again. I left two voice mails, and I have not received any response. What is this?????? This is not right!!

Wonderful staff and very caring doctor.

Dr Oscar Perez is great! I've seen him for many years and I've never had a doctor who shows as much concern in keeping you healthy! He has a great staff too.

Dr. Perez is extremely patient and with my mom that can be challenging at times. Always very attentive to her, which we appreciate very much. His office has WONDERFUL staff and being bilingual is a PLUS!

Even though my mom has never been seen by this doctor, he was listed falsely as an emergency contact from the social worker's sheet attached to my mom through Advent carrollwood hospital. Odd.

This doctor and location are listed on the "Partnership for Prescription Assistance" website as a free or low cost sliding scale clinic. When I called they immediately told me it would cost $135-$165 for the first visit, when I asked about their sliding scale system the employee said they don't offer that. When I asked what financial help they offer for low income individuals she said they don't. What does someone have to do to get mental help in this country? You take the Hippocratic oath for a reason, help people don't steal their money from them! EDIT: Now the owner is blaming the internet search. Contact them and get your name taken off otherwise you're falsely advertising by choice. It's your responsibility as a business owner (Not a doctor) to make sure the accurate information for your business (Not clinic) is up to date and not false. As it is clearly stated by the previous reviewers, the staff at that practice is terrible to say the least. They will never call the patient about tests results, but will make sure to call about 20 dollar fees if you missed an appointment. The front desk staff is rude and they are surprised and offended when someone call them out on it. Or is it only to those who don't speak their language? In this day of everybody rushing and never having time to spend with you, Dr. Perez is truly the exception. He was outstanding! He didn't rush, took time to listen and explained every question in detail. I walked out extremely pleased with my appointment and his staff. I also want to thank Kelly for all of her help. You'll be hard pressed to find a doctor that genuinely cares about his patients half as much as Dr. Perez. When I picture a real doctor, that takes their oath seriously - I see only 2 doctors: Dr Perez & my children's pediatrician. All questions were answered & he even helped explain to my husband a bit of what I was going through, in a brilliant way. I ended up moving out of Tampa and for *ten years* I've been looking for a "reasonably decent" medical doctor and haven't really liked any of them. I've decided I'm going to try and get in to see Dr. Perez & give up the 'local' search completely. I'll be calling the office soon. First - I need to trade in my current vehicle before tackling bridge trips! Doctor Oscar Perez is absolutely worth the long drive, and now I feel like a complete fool for not going back sooner! I have been a patient of Doctor Perez for the past 7 years and I am very happy with his care of my health and he has a great sense of humor too! I moved to Brooksville almost 2 years ago and I still travel over 60 miles to be cared by him.

Dr. Perez is good. Office staff is horrible. They send patients straight to voicemail when calling. Stressing a patient out who can die right if their blood pressure is raised. Thanks wonderful office staff

This has to be the worst front office staff that I've ever dealt with at a doctors office. It took so long to make an appointment and verify insurance after getting disconnected mid call and having to call back to only go in three days later and have them tell me that they don't even have me down in the books for an appointment. When I had explain to them how badly I needed to see a doctor as soon as possible because I didn't think my blood pressure medication was working for me any longer. You would think they would take a patient who has high blood pressure seriously and wouldn't make such a Big mistake as not even putting a patients name down for an important appointment. Not only that they couldn't fit me in that day or even the same week, they wanted me to wait an entire extra week until they could fit me in again. I cannot speak for the doctor himself but be cautious about using this office because who knows if you'll even have an appointment once you get there especially if your appointment is something serious. Excellent doctor.

Dr. Perez cares about his patience and takes the time to explain things to them. This may cause him to be running a little bit late as the day goes on, but if you want an old fashioned doctor/patient experience it’s well worth a potential little extra wait. My parents, both in their 70s, love him and have gone to him for 20 years. They recommended him to me 10 years ago, I’m 49 now and will stay with Dr. Perez until he retires. His office also draws blood on-sight, which saves an extra appointment and trip. I have never run in to any extra fees, all out of pocket costs have been very reasonable. Dr. Perez cares about his patience and takes the time to explain things to them. The front desk staff has always been very helpful and nice. Dr. Perez has been the best dr. I have ever seen even though I did have to wait a little while after my appointment time I felt great he took the time to listen to my problems and he actually listens he addressed all my concerns and has helped me feel so much better. Dr. Perez is very honest and fair we need more doctors like him. And as for the negative comments some people are mean when they are sick or even feel not themselves. Very unprofessional staff. I called and asked for Dr. to call me back for two days, he never did. Every member in my family that went for a physical was sent to a cardiologist for no reason, I guess so that the Dr. could make a referral fee. He said my son could not run track in high school because he failed his EEG even though my son had already passed the physical to serve in the Navy. Finally the Dr. Signed off and approved it. Ridiculous office.

Wrost doctor office ever , watch out with the hidden charges even though your insurance pays them!!!! They will send you to collection's with their hidden fees.... Dr. Perez has not only been a wonderful doctor, but he has also gotten my children and I through some very difficult times, to include the illness and passing of my husband from pancreatic cancer.
