Dr. Orhan Kahraman Atay

Dr. A has been treating my daughter since before she could sit up. She is a happy 2 1/2 year old who loves the fish floor at CHKD.

My two children have been patients of Dr. Atay for a year and a half and have been really happy with his care and the office staff. He truly listens and collaborates with the parents to figure out the best next steps. He's very knowledgable with the medical issues we face. I'd definitely recommend him!

The best GI Dr around!

Dr. Atay has done a great job caring for my daughter who was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s. He has exceeded my expectations for care and concern for my child’s health numerous times. His credentials speak for themselves, he is an expert in his field of medicine. Combine this with his work ethic, genuine concern for patients, and great bedside manner, and you have yourself a top-notch doctor! Dr. Atay has exceeded my expectations numerous times in regards to my daughters care. He is very thorough, following up on any issues or concerns promptly. While his credentials speak for themselves, I can attest to his excellent bedside manner and genuine concern for his patients.

So attentive to both child and parents!!!!

I feel Dr. Atay and his staff are the worst we ever experienced. My son was having terrible GI problems and he was referred to CHKD GI. The treatment Dr. Atay prescribed was not working but the female who I had the misfortune to speak with every time I called was rude and inhumane. I requested to make an appointment to discuss other treatment options with Dr. Atay. She told me, "You don't make an appointment to speak to the doctor." and that my son would not be seen until his 6-month follow-up. I requested a phone call with Dr. Atay. He called 3 times, all from "Unknown" on the caller ID, left a message without a number I could call back to, nor a time when he would call again. Dr. Atay is amazing. He is very thorough & spent time discussing my child's current health and the options we had. He explained things clearly and answered all of our questions. I did not feel rushed at all. He was very kind & caring. He even comforted my whining toddler who came along!
