He's a good doctor, but an example of everything that is wrong with healthcare today. My wife didn't get a choice which hospitalist saw her--he was it. He saw her about 5 minutes each day for 10 days. For that he charged typically $476 per visit--way above what was "reasonable and customary," and left us with a $2000 bill. That still comes out to $200 per 5 minutes. And we had no say in advance as to which doctor we wanted or what his fees would be. You can bet I am all in favor of socialized medicine.
