Dr. Oladapo Richard Osuntokun

I have been seeing Dr. O for many years now. He helped change my life.

He takes his time with patients, I finally received a proper diagnosis. A HUGE relief as I dealt with mental health issues since middle school & early high school. He is hands down the best psychiatrist around! Update: After going to Dr.O for over a year, my life improved in every way! I was anxiety ridden & weighed 97 pounds when I first started to go. My mental health severely disrupted my life. I was petrified to go outside of town on trips. When I went, my anxiety spiraled allowing me to solely focus on what could go wrong. I could not even eat, I such a nervous wreck. After seeing Dr.O and finding proper medication, I DROVE to Philadelphia with a friend of mine. It was one of the best days of my life. I had an appetite, ate at a 5 star restaurant. Then got to slowly analyze and enjoy the art museum. I am no longer a prisoner of my chemical imbalance. I currently weigh a healthy 130 pounds. Dr. O helped me through all of my teen years and into early adulthood. He spends as much time with patients as they need. It was very hard to find a proper adolescent psychiatrist who would sit with me for more than 20 minutes before tossing a diagnosis at me, but Dr. O is amazing and spent a lot of time getting to understand me. I was an unstable teenager and am now an independent, happy young adult. i couldn’t thank him and his family enough for how much they have helped me over the years. Best psychiatrist in the area. I was suffering from bipolar disorder with psychotic features and I couldn't find anyone to correctly diagnose and treat my illness. Dr. O was the only doctor who could treat me and now I feel back to my old self. I also hear he has a book coming out that I will definitely be reading!

Dr. O is the only doctor in the area that could help me with all my issues. For years I could not find a psychiatrist that could diagnose my mental health issues and prescribe me medication that actually worked. I highly recommend him

I went to Dr. Osuntoken years ago and I got the best help! I suffer from crippling anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD and depression. Before seeing him I was hospitalized a few times without really getting any help or treatment that worked. I was very unstable and could barley leave the house or work. After seeing Dr. O I finally got my life back and was completely stable for the first time in years. He saved my life. I now graduated from law school and am happily living in Manhatten where I live with my fiance and 2 dogs. I have a twin brother who literally suffers the same exact problems I do and he has never gotten help either so I told him he must see this Dr. Anyone I know from back home in Scranton that suffers from any mental illness etc.. I called with a simple question if they accept my insurance and the woman that answered the phone was very rude ..when I asked if they accept amerihealth insurance instead of just answering she said who is calling in a very irritated way..I explained that I was interested in making an appointment but needed to know if they take my insurance so she says to another woman do you want to just take this and then a woman who barely speaks English comes on the line and I have to explain the whole thing and I ask again if they accept my insurance and she says we do not. Dr. O as most all of his patients call him is in book the best there is. He takes his time and makes sure everything is alright with you and the office is like going to a relatives house for dinner. GREAT DR. Thank you Dr. O

I wish I could rate even more poorly but alas I cannot. He gave me meds that I was allergic to even after we explained I was allergic to them.

I was diagnosed with OCD and couldn't concentrate or focus for the life of me. I couldn't go to work without washing my hands 35 times a day and I was constantly late to work from double checking my stove several times. As soon I began seeing Dr. O, my entire life changed for the better. I definitely recommend him.

I had been hospitalized multiple times for my depression and was almost sent to an psychiatric ward before I saw Dr. O. Now, my life has been transformed, and I can function. I am no longer depressed now. He is a great psychiatrist that I would definitely recommend.

My quality of life has been significantly made better by Dr. O. When I first came to Dr. O, I was severely depressed and suicidal. Now, I'm much happier because of regularly seeing him.

I credit the quality of life that I live today to Dr. Osuntokun. I initially left a voicemail asking for a consultation. Dr. O called me back personally at about 7:30 or 8 at night and scheduled an appointment for me the very next day. He is very personable and gets a lot of background information about you to assess you upon each visit. He introduces medication on a gradient level so that you are not getting an influx of new meds without being able to pinpoint an issue or side effect.
