About Dr. Nuzhat Iqbal
Reviews for Dr. Nuzhat Iqbal
Do NOT go here. It appears UChealth Longmont campus is where all of the horrible physicians go. I had never experienced what a horrible doctor's office was until going here. I wouldn't even know where to start. If I could give negative stars I would. The previous bad reviews are all too familiar.
Dr.Iqbal and her staff are very professional and do an excellent job at treating my condition.
Dr.Iqbal was great, I have absolutely no complaints! She took the time before my colonoscopy to ask if I had any questions or concerns.
Very professional and nice, I will definitely see her again for my future colonoscopy’s
I chose Dr. Iqbal for my first colonoscopy. Dr. Iqbal came to talk with me before starting the procedure and asked me if I had any questions. She listened to me and explained how long it will take. Overall, I had great experience with the whole team as all people were very friendly, sympathetic, and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Iqbal as she is competent, caring and thorough doctor.
I have had 3 experiences with this doctor. I woke near the end of my 1st colonoscopy, even though I was in pain she kept going.. As for the endoscopy, my lack of knowledge about the procedure, and the lack of any explanation from the Dr or staff, left me a bit fearful.. But this last time for a colonoscopy, there was no excuse. The anesthesiologist was worried and working on my dangerously high blood pressure.. the Dr started the colonoscopy before the anesthesia took hold and when I yelled out in pain, she kept going while I was screaming in pain. I don’t know if she thought I wouldn’t remember any of these things.. but she will never touch me again.. I say there is no excuse because I’ve had many painless colonoscopies and endoscopies with other doctors. I have had 3 experiences with this doctor. She is nice however not having records of previous surgeries can prove problematic and automatic cause for alarm. Her office has a known problem with email not being received by her patients. They use this to communicate instructions for surgery. They ignore this issue and no follow up is done to insure the patient has received proper instructions prior to a surgery. Dr. Iqbal has been my Dr. For 20 years. I trust her competence and thoroughness. Sorry to hear the bad reviews. I think since UCHealth took over the service around Dr. Iqbal has declined. I have moved to Centura due to UC Health but still keep Dr. Iqbal as my gastroenterologist because I trust her.
She is an all-star. Professional, detailed, communicative, thorough and her staff were well organized and friendly. She has a life long patient in me.

I find Dr Iqbal to be a very caring and thorough doctor.
My daughter has esophageal ulcers that have not heard in 16 months of treatment. The pain is so intense she cannot control it with opioids. She saw the PA once and cannot get back in to be seen again for weeks. The PA says she needs testing but won't order the tests, only says to go to the emergency room. They do not have urgent appointments at this clinic and do not directly admit patients to the hospital. She has gone to the ER twice only to be given IV pain meds and sent home with instructions to follow up with the GI clinic. She was admitted twice but neither the PA nor the doctor would come in for a consult so again she was sent home with instructions to follow up with the PA at the gastro clinic. It's the classic run around in this practice. Do not waste your time. My daughter has esophageal ulcers that have not heard in 16 months of treatment. My experience with this office and Dr. were so bad that I'm frankly stunned that anyone had an above 1-star experience with her/them. My first problem was that she must have confused me with another patient because the notes on my record didn't sound even close to what I had told her. In fact, they were the exact opposite to what I had told her in several cases. My colonoscopy & endoscopy were without incident. After the procedures, I was diagnosed with a (surprise) ulcer and another rare condition. A nurse from their office called to tell me this, but also said she "couldn't talk about it anymore right now and I'd have to call back and schedule an appointment with a PA to get next-step instructions". I did call back and was told that I couldn't be seen by anyone at all for 3 weeks, regardless of my situation. I asked what I was supposed to do or how I was supposed to treat the ulcer and they said they "didn't know what to tell me about how to treat it, but would be happy to help in 3 weeks". In the meantime, I sought other medical advice for treatment. I went back in 3 weeks, at which time ,the PA was utterly and completely unprepared. She was still working off of my wrong records (which I discovered as she was reading them back to me verbatim to kick off my appt) She not only gave me misinformation, but blatantly wrong information about my conditions and treatments (later verified by other gastroenterologists). I left this appointment and immediately found a new Gastroenterology office. This next experience was a good one, as you would expect from a medical professional, and validated that I did the right thing by leaving the Dr. Iqbal's office. Little to no bedside manner.

I saw Dr Iqbal after my gastroenterologist retired. I met her once, told her about my autoimmune, and got a colonoscopy and endoscopy. I was told to see the N.P. for the follow up. They found much acid and lesions. The N.P. put me on an Alkaline diet and scheduled a second endoscopy in 3 months. I asked about my autoimmune and she had no knowledge of how the condition affects the digestive system. At the 2nd endoscopy I asked Dr Iqbal about Sjogrens again and was told to see the N.P. Obviously I was not going to get adequate treatment since the N.P. had no knowledge of how to treat me and the Dr refused to answer any questions or even make an appointment with me. I fired them. Very impressed with her ability to listen to issues and discuss various options for care without jumping immediately to prescribing medication. She is caring and competent.
I have been a patient of Dr. Iqbal for several years and have always been very happy with her and her staff. She spends as much time as needed and is very thorough.

my husband and I have been patients for 15+ years, my RX ran out and they refused the. Refill, after I called they called back while I was at lunch with family said they would refill when I made an appointment. I asked for one month and I'd call and make the appointment when my family left. That was a week ago! I called today. They didn't refill even 1 month! Will not be back. I also only saw the dr during a colonoscopy. Only saw the nurse practitioner during regular appointments.

We set an appointment with Dr Iqbal. Unbeknownst to us we were scheduled with the nurse practitioner. Everything went well and then we received a call from NP. Letting us know that they referred us on to Anchutz. When we called Anshutz to set up the GED they said that we were referred over as a second opinion of which we didn’t ask for. We called back to the office to get them to change the orders. They were to call us back in 24 hrs but we were banned instead. Insurance bill beat us home. Sad

Both my husband and I have seen Dr. Iqbal--me for routine colonoscopies and my husband for colonoscopies and celiac diagnosis. We have found Dr. Iqbal to be very friendly and thorough in her explanations. When my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer, she went out of her way to make sure that he was introduced to the surgeon and scheduled for surgery as soon as possible. We have not hesitancy in recommending her highly.

The doctor was uninterested overall and uninformative. The post-procedure customer service was horrible. The nurse refused to give me any information over the phone, insisting instead I make an appointment. The entire staff were exceedingly rude when it came to a billing dispute because the doctor, without letting me know up front, submitted my procedure under a code my insurance declined to cover.

I have very happy with Dr.Iqbal. She is knowledgeable about my problems. SHe does not waste a lot of words and gets to the point quickly.

Dr. Iqbal provided me with effective and thoughtful care for a stomach/intestinal problem I had several years ago. She seemed more willing to listen than the two other gastroenterologists I went to around the same time.

Spent less than 5 minutes discussing treatments and options. Offered no suggestions and was very dismissive. Extremely disappointing bedside manner and very cold.
