Dr. Norman V Kohn

Did not help when I saw him but wasted my time. I have seen doctors who were residents under him at University if Chicago. The experiences described tallied with mine and revealed someone who seems to have a high opinion of himself but not of patients’ well-being. Would not recommend to anyone. He confronted me on certain occasions with totally inappropriate behaviors & did not help me in any way. If anything, he may have made things worse. After hearing similar stories about his lvl of ability to empathize or help people in crisis, I washed I found someone else. Told me he didn’t prescribe basic medicine, like anti-depressants, because they were bandaids that prevented people from “really coping/working through an issue.” Mood disorders are genetic and often a chemical imbalance, & that attitude wasn’t remotely helpful
