Norman Bettle

I would like to share the experience I just had with the staff of coastal neurology, Dr. Bettle’s team! I called for a follow up appointment this morning at 8 o’clock before they were open and by 9 AM I received a prompt call back. I spoke with the front desk assistant Jatavia M who listened to what my call was for and got me directly to Tamira D. In the insurance department, who told me I would be the first case on her desk and she would get to it immediately. Well immediately is exactly what she did, and within the hour she had reached out to my insurance and got a no pre-authorize necessary to speed my claim along. Now dealing with insurance can usually take days to weeks and this young lady got it done in an hour. Thank you so much to both of these ladies for helping me!!

Nasty office personnel. Rude on the phone. If you want docs to keep referring patients you need to get your ship in order.

Very knowledgeable in his field but more interested in getting his testing done than answering questions or listening to the patient. Bed side manner is poor at best.

I have seen Dr. Bettle several times about neuropathy and pain in the right hand. He did the requisite nerve tests and told me after several visits and exams that the damage was permanent and irreversible. I think he is very competent and knowledgeable, however, he has no bedside manner and is a serious man who never smiles or empathizes.

Dr. Bettle and his staff was FANTASTIC! I went in for my first ever EMG Nerve test today. Not knowing what to expect I had read all the reviews on the internet. DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THIS HYPE!! These guys are great, and the test was basically completely painless!!

I had my first visit today with this doctor at my Orthopedic drs request. I had a good experience which I am happy to share. I am a retired nurse and have dealt with drs for many years in my line of work good and bad. This dr was pleasant , informative and had a good bedside manner. My Orthopedic Dr referred me to Dr Bettle before having surgery. I am a retired nurse and have dealt with good and bad drs in my 30 year career. I found this Dr to be pleasant , informative and professional. I would recommend him to someone who was in need. I feel you can’t always judge someone by comments made by others. It is important to always get a second opinion.

This guy misdiagnosed my MS. He gave me multiple spinal MRIs and said I had carpal tunnel. I went to a different neurologist who gave me a spinal tap and a brain MRI. I was finally diagnosed and began treatment. He came in my hospital room before while I was on the phone with a doctor and told me he doesn't have time to wait, because he has things to do. I let him know that I didn't send for him and I didn't want to see him, because he doesn't listen and he misdiagnosed me.

Today was my first visit with Dr Bettle (pronounced BET-la). I look forward to the next one. His questions were concise and directly related to my issue. He did several neurophysiological tests in the office, explaining his actions the whole time. When he offered a new medication, I was reluctant to take yet another med, so he offered Plan B, which was not only welcomed, but covered by insurance. I feel confident that his diagnosis was right on and would definitely recommend him.

I saw Dr. Beetle today for a nerve test. After reading some of the reviews regarding such test, I was terrified. He put me right at ease, explaining each step. It was not painful at all. He gave me the test results before leaving his office.
