Dr. Norbert E. Baumgartner

I am 68 years old and was diagnosed with three heart blockages. One 70%, 80% and one 100% blocked. Doctor Baumgartner performed a triple bypass. Harvesting a vain from my leg and one from my heart. The operation was a success and the scar is almost invisible. I was in the hospital for three days and I did so well that he released me on the third day. Doctor Baumgartner was very professional. He explained my condition and the procedure in details that I could understand. He also answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. He checked on me several times in the hospital and I felt that he was continually on top of my recovery. His office staff was also great in every way. They were friendly and efficient and Ashley was both knowledgeable and caring. I would recommend Doctor Baumgartner to anyone needing heart surgery. Outstanding experience, in and out of Sparrow Hospital. Dr. Baumgartner is a caring concerned heart surgeon affectionately called "The Big Dog" and "The Big Kahuna" on the heart surgery and rehab units.his skill is only matched by his amazing staff. I had triple bypass surgery and the "surprise" repair of a leaky valve in the same surgery and everything went well beyond expectations. Great job! He did open heart surgery on Me & my brother 18 years ago..open heart surgeries..and we have no trouble with the heart in all these years!! I am happy to hear he is still with us on this earth, and that he is still performing heart surgeries..many lives saved under his care with the help of the Heavenly Father!!! I have Blessed him many times over & over.. Our Last names are Hintz, & DeShone... :)
