I took my wife several times, and she was very happy with the treatment from Dr. Nonnie Estella

I am young and this first gynecologist experience I had was not a good one. I have PMDD and was basically told there is no solution for me. If you are like me and you are reluctant to visit healthcare places because of the many bad experiences you had, never go here.

I have been a patient of Dr.Estella for 12 years and was informed that she was no longer doing annuals. When I requested to speak to Dr. Estella personally, I was told that I would not be able to speak to her. I cannot believe that Dr.Estella does not have a personal email or voicemail that her patients can privately communicate with her. I have always found Dr.Estella to be professional, respectful and personable. I will sadly be looking for a new doctor. Went to Dr. Estella for about 25 years. She is amazing. I was seen by her NP once and will never see her again. She was rude, judgemental and unprofessional. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist wasn't overly friendly. Unfortunately Dr. Estella is no longer seeing patients for annual exams and the only option is the NP. I am very saddened to have to find a new doctor since my only option here is to see the NP whom I do not like at all. Thanks for being such a great OB/GYN Dr. Estella. I waited 1.5 months to get this appointment. The front desk secretary told me that they would not be seeing me today because I was marked as a no-show. I looked at my phone for time and realized I was 7 minutes late. She said as I should have been there 5 minutes before the start of the appointment and in order to re-book I would need to pay for the no-show appointment first, even though I was standing right there. I was scheduled to see Dr. estella. When I showed up I was told I couldn’t have my annual exam and there was a 60.00 copay! When I asked why I was told it was because the doctor was a specialist ! When I scheduled this appointment I was told that I would be seeing the Dr. and both procedures would be done at the same time! Then the nurse came in not the doctor for my appointment, would not give me my annual that I was told I would be getting by the person who scheduled this appointment. When I mentioned this to the nurse that came in to do the exam I was told that they only do one thing at a time, the girl at the counter was new, and didn’t realize that and she was really rude! They also had me listed as a new patient and couldn’t see my previous results! My family has been going here for years!!! Wow!!! I would also like to add that when I asked about Peri menopausal medication due to my extreme hot flashes I was told that they no longer give out medication like candy and that it was too late for me to start anything! This was probably the worst interaction I've experienced with front desk staff at any practice my physician has ever referred me to. In reading other reviews, I was confused why a patient was turned away for being 7 minutes late. I was there on time and had no issues waiting the additional time I had to because staff were occupied. Staff were so preoccupied that I couldn't even receive a quick “Hi there, I’ll be with you in just a second” but instead was rudely directed to take a seat after being ignored and left standing for several minutes by another staff. Once the receptionist was off the call and was finally able to check me in. I was asked to sit again and wait to be called. Afterwards she also mentioned she would take my copay after my visit which I was totally fine with. However, the same staff from earlier overheard this and instead told her loud enough for me to hear from waiting area to take it now. I have no problem having to make a $25 copayment or more at any doctors office as that is my responsibility to cover. It could also perhaps be part of their policy to take it beforehand but I'm assuming the receptionist wouldn't have offered if she couldn't take the payment 20 minutes later. Regardless, none of this appaled me as much as this staff's tone and unwelcoming demeanor when speaking to and approaching patients. This was also the same woman that walked me to my room and took my weight. Just overall unpleasant service and attitude. I was hoping to leave this practice feeling more at ease instead I just left irritated. I was referred from other office saying that Dr. Estella was amazing and believed so. But the office was really inefficient accepting new patients and. I called 3 times to have the assistant ask for my records, it was told me that they will request from their office and called me back. But one week after, I called again and found out the office did not even make the call to ask my records from my primary care doctor (which happened twice when I called again one week later). I double checked with the primary care office to know that. It finally turned out I called my primary care office to fax the record. And the scheduling appointment becomes me calling every week to ask for the doctor to see my record, and know I need to be seen for (which I've already keep saying during my first call). Scheduling an appointment takes four weeks, and the time to be seens takes another one and half month...I still believe the doctor is super popular and professional, but the office's service is really really disappointing and unprofessional. honestly. Excellent doctor! I would highly recommend Dr. Estella. I wish I found her years ago. The staff is very pleasant.

The two stars are for the friendly receptionist. I went here for a perimenopause consult, hoping to discuss my options regarding low-dose birth control pills to control symptoms I had been struggling with for a year. I saw a nurse practitioner, who told me they don't prescribe low-dose birth control pills to perimenopausal women, and that she only has two menopausal patients on hormone therapy! She told me we all get older and I would just have to accept the changes. She wouldn't even give me localized estrogen! This practice is not up to date on what I've been reading about hormone replacement. See NIH article "Use of Combined Oral Contraceptives in Perimenopausal Women." They are doing a disservice to their patients by depriving them of low-risk relief for their peri- and menopausal symptoms. The two stars are for the friendly receptionist. I've been coming to this office for about 16 years and couldn't be more pleased at how comfortable they make me feel and how pleasant everyone is. Dr Estella is caring and compassionate. She sat with us, spoke in layman's terms, and took all the time we needed to discuss options. She also found a treatment plan that helped us avoid unnecessary surgery. Couldn't have asked for better!

DON'T GO HERE!!!! I had a appt and cancelled the week before. I had never been here before. Keep getting missed appt bill. I've called written a letter left numerous messages no one ever called back and I just got a collection notice. Unbelievable. I scheduled my consultation appointment and was told they would call me within 5 to 10 days to tell me if my insurance would cover costs and how much. A month later I still hadn't heard from them so I called them about five times and went to voice mail every time so I left a voicemail asking them to call me back so I could schedule my next appointment. A week later I still hadn't heard from them so then my mother called them, again they didn't answer, so we were furious so she just left a message asking to get my medical records back. Finally a week later they call me back and ask if I wanted to schedule my next appointment. I WAS FURIOUS. But I just politely told them we would be going elsewhere and I wanted to pickup my medical records. Then I showed up at 4:45 and their hours were listed until 5 and they were already closed. I have been going to her for years she is amazing! She truly cares about you and knows everything about you. She is a amazing doctor. Delivered two of my children before she stopped And had my other doctors amazed by her surgical abilities. She is caring and kind and just amazing.
