Awful experiences! Insensitive, rude and unprofessional. Following anesthesia , my daughter was experiencing delirium which they never warned me of, Instead of supporting me they pushed me and my daughter out of their office and told me to leave. Another time they didn’t properly numb my daughter. Another time the dentist could not answer questions about her X-ray machine and told me that kids don’t even need to wear a protective coat. Another time the hygienist was incredibly rude telling me I could not be in the room with my 5 year old son during nitrous and a filling, and treated me like a pest simply because my son wanted me in the room and they don’t like to be watched because they restrain Children and do things against their will. The dentist lectured me on how I had to be silent and could not comfort my child. Another time she literally scarred my daughter by telling her “you don’t remember me because I pulled your tooth while you were sleeping!” The whole point of anesthesia is so they don’t remember, yet this insensitive woman could not see how scary that is for a child to learn some stranger had done things to her body while she was sleeping. These positive reviews are written by their friends and family, they ask them to post just to move their negative reviews down, yet another clear indicator of their lack of confidence in their skills.

WORSTE PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY IN PDX! Terrible. Rude. Unprofessional. Left my Wife and Child in TEARS and without a finished appointment. We have 3 small children and the previous day our girl had some dentist work done, she was scared and her mouth hurt from her shot she received at the clinic. So the next day, her brother, our son was also understandably scared. Not only did they want to separate our son from his Mom but totally degraded my wife and made her feel terrible for wanting to be there with her son, which he wanted her to be there! After agreeing to an understanding. My wife says to the doctor “Maybe you should train your dental hygienist to treat your clients better” That set the doctor off, “NOPE GET OUT!” Making my wife and son who was all doped up on gas to leave immediately. We took off the whole morning for this and she just kicked a 5 year old and his mother out without any work done! How can they work with families?? Insane. WORSTE PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY IN PDX. Do your kids and family a favor and go elsewhere. The treatment alone will be worth it.

I have been going to see Dr. Andrea since I was a little girl. Now we take our children here. The front office is very kind. Always going above and beyond for our family to make sure our needs are met. Highly recommend for pediatric dental care.

Best pediatric office I’ve found! Stephanie (the assistant) is very friendly and explains everything they’re going to do each time we’re there. Both doctors are very knowledgeable and conservative. They don’t push treatments my son doesn’t need. I would 100% recommend this office to any family with children.

We brought our 3 year old here for her first dentist appointment. Even with a typical nervous kiddo, the hygienist and Dr Andrea were calm and engaging. They helped ease the typical fears of a kid at the dentist. Dr Andrea also thoroughly explained the treatment plans and expected dental care. We will be transitioning our other child to this practice, also.

I'd give 6 stars if I could! I had to take my son in for some tooth pain. During the consult it was determined that he needed two teeth removed and a spacer installed. They explained the procedure in great detail and answered all of my questions in a way that I could understand. One week later, the extractions were done! This office is child focused from the moment you walk in the door, with books, fish, gumball machines (toys, not candy), etc. ALL staff were great with my boy. They even came out three times to tell me how he was doing during the procedure. On the ride home my boy acted like barely anything happened. He was more concerned about the tooth fairy coming that night! Just an awesome experience (for a dentist!), and they even have a friendly pup walking around, presumably supervising the entire operation. If your child needs dental care, stop searching, and just book an appointment here. You won't be disappointed. Glad I did.

I love this place! My kids are so calm and easy going because of the bubbly fun personality of all the staff. Been going here for four years and won’t ever change dentist for my babies. Thank you to all the staff for the fun experience for my kiddos ♥️

We have been taking our two sons to Pediatric Dentistry for several years. Our older son has always been an easy client as he does not experience anxiety during cleanings and procedures. Our younger son experiences a lot of anxiety. Over the years they’ve been great for our older son but become noticeably impatient when our younger son’s anxiety slows down procedures. This morning we went in for a small filling. Our son was very nervous about the apparatus that goes on the nose to administer Nitrous Oxide and his anxiety was building. He asked if he could go outside for a minute to try to calm down (before anything was administered) and their response was that he could not because there were more appointments right after his. They then administered Versed, which did not calm him down. His anxiety worsened to the point he was crying and begging to leave. He also started experiencing extreme agitation which has never happened before. We were instructed to wait in the lobby for 15 minutes. No one checked back in with us. We then left, my son still experiencing side effects. Pediatric Dentistry is great if your kid has no special needs. But as of today, we recognize we need to find a dentist who understands how to work with patients with special needs. We have been taking our two sons to Pediatric Dentistry for several years. We love it here! The whole staff (dentists, assistants, front desk, etc) is friendly and makes going to the dentist fun vs scary. While waiting kids can look at fish tank. They also have stuffed animals everywhere, sing songs to get the kids engaged and provide great advice on how to get my toddlers to brush their teeth as well as what I can do do to help. Afterwards kids get prizes for doing well during their stay snd brushing their teeth:) I would highly recommend bringing your kiddos here! We love it here! All 3 of my children have been here since they had their first cleaning. They are some of the most amazing providers I have had the pleasure of meeting, they are absolutely amazing with my children. Everyone from the front office to the dentists are just a pleasure to work with and my kids are actually excited to see them every time we go! The best dentist for kids in town. My son needed and urgent tooth pulled. The office made time to see him in less than an hour. All went well at the appointment. The tooth fairy gets to collect two molars tonight.

Matt and Dr. Andrea are just wonderful with my kiddo.

This Fred Meyers let’s food go to waste when our city is in an ice storm with no power and people are starving.

Our daughter has been going to Dr Noel and Matt for years now. She has had an extreme case of anxiety and angst around her loose teeth and Matt works magic on children with nervousness and anxiety. Thoughtfully furnished with stuffed animals, tropical fish, good books, and stickers—not to mention cake toothpaste—this was destination dentistry. My 2-and-a-half-year-old did not want to leave and her parents got good care advice from the professional team. Everybody wins.

My 4 year old daughter and I had a great experience here. The receptionist, hygienist and dentist were all very professional and very nice. Most importantly, my daughter has a good experience and left feeling comfortable about a return visit.

I would rate them a zero but you wouldn't see this review... they push you out the door while.your child is coming out of general anesthesia. They are not friendly, uptight and stuck up employees. They do not have any understanding for life events and drop you if you miss 1 appointment. Strongly not recommended!

Honestly I used to like this clinic a lot before! When it Seemed like they cared for my children. But than I understood that it’s all about the money not the children! My son saw doctor Larsen who was trying to insist and force me into having his couple cavities done under General anesthesia. My son is a big built boy and very mature, he took and takes dental appointments great, opens his mouth doesn’t cry ect. I didn’t want unnecessary procedures done on him! Expecially since my smaller daughter had it done under laughing gas with no problem. The doctor got very mad how come I don’t want him to get it done in the hospital because she obviously gets way more money from insurance for hospital Procedures. After I insisted on trying laughing gas first they agreed but wouldn’t let me be in the room with him because she said ‘’ most likely it won’t work out! (Which a week prior I was allowed in with my daughter) honestly I felt like she didn’t want me back there because she didn’t want it to work out. Also I got dismissed from the clinic! We love this place and everyone that works here. Even better, our son loves them. He's 3 and has had to have work done on his teeth a few times now. He's always comfortable and interested. We moved to Forest Grove and still travel here for his visits.

It was our son's first time to a pediatric dentist and he loved all the animals, tokens, stickers and tattoos. As a parent I loved the patience that all the staff members had and friendliness. So glad our family dentist referred us to your office.

My three little kiddos always have a great experience here, and love going to the dentist. One of my sons has two permanent teeth where he should have just one coming in (we call it his shark tooth) and they made an appropriate referral for us to OHSU so that we could talk it over with a specialist. We decided to delay the surgery until the permanent tooth's roots were developed (per the OHSU specialist's recommendation) and our dentist has continued to monitor the situation. Our kiddo is ready to have the surgery at OHSU and Pediatric Dentistry has been a great support and good collaborator. Mark made it really fun - taking time for little things like letting her pick the toothpaste flavour and the toothbrush and moving the chair up and down- and the dentist was so kind. My son has been a patient here for 5 years. I never regret my decision to take my son to a pediatric dentist because they really make kids feel comfortable. My son actually thinks dental visits are fun and he looks forward to going. Last time I reminded him he had an appointment, he said "Yay!" At the end of the appointment, he asked with anticipation when he gets to come back. The staff and Drs are nice and have a good rapport with parents too. Extremely happy with the quality of care at this practice. We really enjoy the Drs. and staff. Fun waiting room, too- my son doesn't want to leave!

The whole team were so welcoming and made my little feel so safe. Our daughter was a bit nervous, AJ made her comfortable by explaining everything to her in educational but silly ways. Dr. Noel did the same thing too. Added bonus was the office dog, Rudy, who was super sweet and cuddling.

I am impressed. My daughter came in for two procedures at once, a filling and sealants. Not only was the staff ready to get started as soon as we arrived, 20 minutes before our appointment time, but a total of 4 practitioners worked in tandem to get the job done super fast and with the minimum discomfort for my daughter. This is on top of the fact that we came to Pediatric Dentistry after a traumatic experience at another local pediatric dentist involving a serious breach of trust and excessive work. The "treatment" that my daughter received there resulted in a year of pain and lasting damage to her teeth. Needless to say, I was on edge. Fun and gentle dentist experience for children.

As usual, everything was fabulous! Everyone here is so nice and the kids really like it.

All staff--receptionists, hygienists, and dentists--are always very friendly and knowledgeable. Great care for our family.

I visited there today with my two sons. My oldest (almost 5) really enjoyed the experience and my youngest (almost 3) was very scared. Staff went out of there way to try to make him more comfortable and didn't get upset at us even though he was screaming a lot. Highly recommended!

Dr. Larsen was wonderful. My son has some dental issues stemming from a previously intruded tooth. We found her to be much more knowledgeable and communicative regarding the problem than his previous dentist. We have been lucky to have Andrea Beltzner as our dentist for both our daughter and son. As a school teacher and pediatric nurse, we appreciate the great care and attention this clinic provides to the pediatric population. They are a welcome fit to our family!

I would highly recommend this pediatric dentist's office. A great place for kids' dentistry. The entire experience is minimally stressful for parents and kids. They have competent, efficient, and pleasant staff who are organized with scheduling, documentation, and billing/insurance. Appointments run on time and the atmosphere always seems calm and fun. Was referred here for my two and a half year old to get a crown put on. Only had two appointments, but all the staff we saw were great and help the kids (and parents) feel comfortable and welcome. Great at answering questions and providing information. When my son woke up from anesthesia he was upset we had left already! When your kid wants to stay at the dentist, you know that's a good sign! The only negative is that it took three months to get in for crown because they only do anesthesia twice a month. Was referred here for my two and a half year old to get a crown put on. An excellent place for children. The dentists are professionals who are aware of the most effective procedures for solving children's dental problems. I put complete trust in them, as do my two grandchildren, ages four and nine, who are always at ease when being worked on. This is the best place in Portland for children.

Best pediatric dentistry anywhere. We've been to another place (Dr. Badder) that treated my child as if she were bad person for being scared of dentist. The other dentist didnt want to take anytime to relate to the child at all. Her precious money making time schedule was more important than my child's anxiety and fear. However, at Dr Larsen's office, it was complete opposite. They listened and talked to our daughter and took time to understand her fears. They slowly helped her get comfortable with the idea that she need help in taking care of her bad tooth (flaw in enamel). It took 2 visits but worth the time it took to ease her anxiety. And yes, they do not allow the parents in the room during procedures and I now fully understand why. The presence of protective parent causes anxiety in some children (not all). My husband cried in the waiting room when we heard her crying in the procedure room. Once we got through it, my daughter realized it was no big deal. Just needed her to see for herself. We took my 5yr old son to Dr. Noel Larsen to have his cavities filled while under anesthesia. A few months after the procedure, we noticed a dark spot on one of the fillings and that is was cracked. We took him back and found out that they needed to fix the filling and refill the cavity. They were going to give him nitrous this time but would not let my wife back into the room with my son even though she pushed very hard to be there with him to comfort him. They took him back and after unsuccessfully getting the mask over his face because he was resisting, they took him back out to my wife and actually told her that they though that he has some issues probably stemming from home life problems. A 5yr who is scared of the dentist! Is that really so strange?! You can't even make this stuff up! We were furious but still tried to reschedule a time because they were going to do it at no cost because it was their mistake on the first filling. We have tried 3 times to set up another time with them, each time them telling us they will call us back. We have not been called back once. We are giving up and going to a new dentist.
