My wife goes to Dr Tran and thinks he does a great job diagnosing her eye problems

Dr. Tran helped my husband with an emergency eye situation on a late Sunday afternoon without hesitation. Dr. Tran was informative and helpful and was able to give my husband a much needed emergency referral to a retinal specialist. My family now goes to Dr. Tran for all our eye care.

I did not appreciate his unprofessional response when I called the answering service for assistance on a Saturday night with my eye infection. He was the on call opthalmalogist and he would not prescribe an empiric antibiotic coverage until I saw my opthalmalogist the following Monday. He stated “I don’t know you” after I gave him the s/six of a bacterial conjunctivitis He said I needed to come in on Sunday to see him. I asked if he took my medical insurance and he said he did. I drove all the way down to his office to find out his receptionist stated he did not take my medical insurance. I felt he just wanted the business knowing I would pay out of pocket since I drove all the way down to his office. Well I was pretty upset and left his office. I told this to my opthalmalogist the next day and he felt embarrassed that this covering office would do this to a patient. I will definitely not go to Dr. Tran as he presented to be a cold and uncaring person on the phone. Great efficient doctor who accepted me on an emergency basis immediately after I called with my retina problem. Pinpointed the problem and gave me the solution right away. I felt more at ease even while talking to Dr. Tran Excellent, caring doctor!

Receptionst staff unhelpful, and extremely rude.

Doesn’t volunteer any information, so if you want to know anything at all you need to ask very specific questions. Uninformed about the medication available in the pharmacy. Prescribed medication without instructions - unresponsive when I tried to call back for instructions on how long to take it for. I have called and left a message with his secretary multiple times over the past week and still haven’t received a call back. I can only hope I’m not over-dosing.

Captain Peter Yorck US Army Princeton ROTC and Afghanistan 2013-2014 had foot surgery at VASF Hospital 7/28/2017.. The VA forgot to tape my eyes shut. Terrible pain Dr Tran was outstanding and also took care of me on Sunday.?? God Bless Dr Tran and his family
