Was pretty reluctant to leave this review because Dr. Cap has many positive reviews and what almost seems like a “following” of very happy moms. With that being said my husband and I both left feeling SUPER dismissed. I get it we are 29/30 years old and only had been trying for 5 months but I brought in ultrasound images that showed something was off and have been having lots of bleeding - outside of my cycle and was looking for a second opinion- which I tried to express multiple times. 1. He told me my issues I was telling him about weren’t issues- perhaps a little odd but not issues. 2. He didn’t even look at the ultrasound which I had gone through the hassle of having another office mail them - which a fertility specialist today confirmed that there is in fact abnormalities 3. He left us with the advice to “go home, get drunk and have a baby”. Totally ignoring the bleeding- which even if I wasn’t trying to get pregnant is stressful and a nuisance. Pros- the office is very well decorated (I can only imagine what their home is like ) and doesn’t feel sterile or cold at all Again, if you don’t have any issues and are pregnant already I’m sure Dr. Cap and the office would be a fine fit, but if you have any concerns I wouldn’t come here. Note to Dr. Cap: just because a patient is young, the solution isn’t always give it time. Some suggestions as to what we could do about the bleeding would have been helpful as it’s continued to worsen over the last 3 months… which is what brought us to a double board certified OB/GYN and fertility specialist who actually explained things and used some science- not just go home and get drunk. We were so much excited, bcos this was our first pregnancy. We were extremely dis-satisfied with our experience during labor at the Scripps memorial hospital, we stayed at the hospital for a week. Since I had gestational diabetes, I was induced at week 39 and was injected with lots of hormones and was on IV fluids with no food for 6 days. At the end of 6 days when I was exhausted completely, they asked me to push for 6 hours. With no luck, we were then told that we have to go for a C-section. Isn't this ridiculous ?. Why cant the doctor diagnose this wont be a normal delivery within 2 days? For their own records to show off the highest % of normal deliveries why are they torturing the patients? I wont go to this doctor ever again in my life or wont recommend this doctor to anyone We were so much excited, bcos this was our first pregnancy. Stop your search, you made it, you found the provider you need! if i could sing dr caps praises from literal mountaintops i would.. he is so very kind and considerate and really champions you in whatever way you want to have your babies.. and if things don’t go as planned, he takes his time and sits with you (non-emergent “failed”vbac for me- even so i felt so at peace with it bc he sat and worked through my thought process with me and showed me how i did everything possible and it wasn’t anything i could have changed etc etc— truly i would have felt so different if it was anyone else— his kindness and compassion made all the difference in the world) he truly wants you to feel good about any and all decisions being made... i recommend him every single chance i get.. i researched all over SoCal before we got here when i was 37 weeks and he took me on as a patient without question and ugh i could go on forever!! he’s truly the very best! His wife Angie manages the practice and she is just as wonderful! They are all so welcoming and down to earth good people.. I’m praying we are still living here if we have another baby bc i wouldn’t want to have anyone else deliver them! Dr.Cap is simply the best. I was hoping for a VBAC and due to baby having kidney concerns I had to be transferred to a maternal fetal medicine doctor, but was relieved to come back for follow up care with him. His office staff is compassionate, professional, and immaculate. I absolutely love him and hope that if we have another baby, we still be in this state so I can continue to see him. He has also placed an IUD for me and while it hurt he talked me thru every single step, gave me a little break and thanks to his patience and calm demeanor I made it thru. I just can’t rave enough about him! I drive an hour just to see him. Anytime I mentioned that he was my doctor to other health professionals like my chiropractor or my primary care physician they immediately would say “oh you have the best” and “I have so many patients that love him”, because it’s true. Dr. Cap deserves 6 stars, honestly. He loves what he does and he brought me and my wife peace of mind during our first pregnancy and birth when nothing else really could. He will not push you into anything you're uncomfortable with but will offer good advice if you want it. To other guys/husbands/fathers out there, I urge you to choose Dr. Cap. You will not regret it. I have been with Dr Cap since 2008. He is a true professional. His office is immaculate and clean and the staff is so friendly. They always listen. I felt taken care of with my babies and now as I get older he continues to care for me. He is passionate about his work and truly cares. Thank you! I would refer anyone to this office!!!

He is awesome! Best OB! Very competent, compassionate and patient focused. I had a c section with my first and it was terrifying. Had a gentle c section with Dr. Cap for my second baby and it was like night and day. Recovery has been so much better, less pain, and I think of my second delivery as the wonderful moment I met my son. Dr. Cap makes u feel comfortable and is a very kind man. Very expensive even with BCBS insurance. They are wanting multiple ultrasounds on my baby even though multiple extended doppler ultrasound exposure has been shown to heat up tissue and cause birth defects in many animals; they clearly had no idea about that scinetific literature. I ask for a full nutritional test/blood panel and they have me pick out which nutrients. Like, um, THE nutrients. Whatever is on a nutrition facts panel. They dont even have a list of commonly deficient nutrients to check for, and if i were to get these many many individual screenings they wouldnt be covered by my, again, fantastic insurance. Very strange almost like a money laundering scheme or something; there was a very weird rushed "business as usual" vibe there. Very expensive even with BCBS insurance. Dr. Cap is the best! He delivered all 3 of my kids and was always calm and reassuring during pregnancy and labor. His office staff, especially Angie, are great too!

Dr. Cap is by far the best ob! I had a long road to having my first and after going through three different doctors I found comfort and confidence with Dr Cap. Now two healthy babies later and two AWESOME birth stories I’m so so thankful to have found Cap Wellness.

Dr. Cap is a incredible doctor and I can’t wait to grow my family alongside his! His office is beautiful and his staff has the best bedside manor/ customer service. Dr. Cap is AMAZING!!! I could not have asked for a better dr. I changed to him after feeling like a number in another practice. When I met him the first thing he asked me was "tell me something about yourself". And that was it. I felt like he had my back. I was an older mom and he never made me feel like that was a problem. He had such a calming effect. I am so glad I found him and he made my experience of being pregnant and delivering my son a great experience. Also Angie abs the whole staff are amazing. Dr Cap is my miracle worker birth warrior doctor. I had a challenging birth experience of 5 days in the hospital and with any other doctor it would’ve ended in a C section. Because of his patience and guidance, I had a powerful vaginal birth and I’m so proud of myself! He’s as holistic as you can get for a hospital birth doc. Where do I start? From the moment I excitedly walked into this office I was instantly greeted with a huge smile from Angie at the front desk. She greeted my husband and I so warmly I knew from the start that this was going to be a great fit! Then we met Dr. Cap and both my husband and I felt so comfortable and he instantly made us feel like we were part of the family. Our first visit went great! A few days later, two nights before thanksgiving, I felt a pop. I called Dr.Cap right away and he asked me to come in first thing in the morning. That is when we found out the bad news that there was no longer a heartbeat. My husband and I were heart broken. Dr. Cap was so comforting and genuinely showed a concern for us. He knew that surgeries would be limited due to the holiday (I had to have a D and C) and he didn’t want me to have to wait so pulled some strings and got be scheduled that day for the procedure. Through the whole process he informed me of everything that was going to happen and in the after care check up reassured me that he’d be delivering my baby someday. That someday came 11 months later and I had the most beautiful pregnancy and delivery under his care! He listened to my wishes for a natural delivery and gave me the positive mama bear words of encouragement to make that happen! My husband was blown away by the experience. Dr. Cap helped him cut the cord, which he thought he wouldn’t be able to do! A day we will never forget! Needless to say when baby # 2 came along we made sure we changed our insurance to just be able to be under his care. As soon as you walk in that door, you are part of the Cap family. If I could rate Dr. Cap ten stars, I would! I have been a patient of Dr. Cap for 8+ years. My nephew was delivered by him and my wife delivered our newest addition 6 months ago. Without a doubt using Dr. Cap to deliver our children has been the biggest gift and blessing. My wife delivered our son naturally and in what could have been a very scary situation due to him getting stuck (shoulder dystocia), Dr. Cap handled it with calmness and unwavering confidence and knowledge. He took immediate, meticulous care of my wife and my son, as well as made sure I was emotionally supported, which was above and beyond his call of duty. All of our appointments at the office were thorough and detailed, without unnecessary medical interventions. Angie and all the staff are always available to answer questions and communicate regarding insurance, tests, etc. in an expedited manner. As a patient you know you matter to them! Not only was Dr. Cap fully supportive of my preferences and choices, he made my husband and I feel completely welcome while under his care. My delivery was perfect, and he was confident, collected and careful delivering our daughter nearly two years ago. LOVE Dr. Cap! After not loving my first birth experience, we found Dr. Cap and have been so happy with his personalized care. His office staff is warm and welcoming, and he is patient, understanding, and makes me feel comfortable and not like a crazy pregnant lady. He listens to my concerns and looks at my health and my baby's health holistically. Dr. Cap and staff are the best! So grateful to have The Cap Wellness Center next door, too! I am very pleased with my experience thus far at 35 weeks pregnant.

Thanks to Dr. Cap I was able to have a beautiful natural birth after a previous C-section. He and his staff are so compassionate and supportive, I actually miss my prenatal visits. The office is beautiful and feels more like a spa than a medical office. Can’t recommend it enough!

Dr. Cap delivered both my kids and I would highly, highly recommend. Appointments were always easy and he really cares about his moms just as much as the babies! He also makes moms feel much stronger and capable of handling less invasive childbirth compared to other doctors that default to c-section, inductions, etc. He is the BEST!

The best Doc to deliver your baby there is. Very flexible and easy to work with. My wife and son would very likely not be here with out him.

Dr Cap is a family-centered, evidence-based, fantastic doctor. He cares what families want, he cares how moms feels, and he realizes that there is more to birth than a baby coming out. I wish all women could experience the level of care that he provides - he is truly a wonderful care provider.
