Dr. Nicole Darrow

In April my mother had brain and lung cancer. Dr. Nicole Darrow diagnosed my mother with pneumonia and prescribed her antibiotics. My mother used all the antibiotics and was in agony. She got more antibiotics thinking she had pneumonia. X-ray was never prescribed. She was at home 4-5 weeks until an ambulance took my mother to the hospital; they tried to treat her for the brain and lung cancer but she died two weeks later in the hospital. Had Dr. Nicole Darrow sent my mother for testing and not said it was pneumonia my mother would not have died. Dr. Darrow's misdiagnosis was a major contributor to my mother death.

I have been seeing Dr. Darrow for my care for about 20 years now. I love that she is thorough and knowledgable.

Dr. Darrow is amazing! She is caring, considerate and very helpful. Her demeanor is great. I have been going to her for many years now and the 5 star rating is for her. Zero rating for the staff - I must add, some of the staff there are extremely rude! I called to make my usual 4-6 week appointment and was asked a question I had never been asked before. When I questioned the girl she got extremely snippy. I told her I have never been asked that before. She made my appointment and rushed me off the phone. I then called back, because as a patient for many years there, I wanted clarification on what I was asked. The girl who answered me was so rude! I had asked to speak with Dr Darrow’s assistant, the rude girl on the phone asked me what was my question? I told her I wanted to ask about fasting for an INR check. Well she lashed out at me and told me the girl I had spoken to prior to calling back did not say I had to fast and those are the questions we are told to ask. Well in 10 yrs I have never been asked that question and I was concerned. She said we always ask that, and I was standing right next to ______when she spoke with you and did not say you had to fast. That rude person took my number and said I would get a call back, I asked the girl’s name who I originally spoke with, she would NOT give me her name and said I’ll get a call back and she hung up. I have never had such a rude experience at that office, never. Apparently, customer service is not part of the training there! I was shocked at that display of lack of service I received!

Trying to get an appointment for over 2 weeks. Phone busy most of the time or it goes to a voice mail where it says mailbox full. I was in the ER and needed a follow up with my primary and when I called I was told she was totally booked and had no appointments available. I know she is busy with Covid and I am not a frequent flyer there. What is going on?

Both my daughter and I see Dr. Darrow. She takes the time to listen and understand.
