Dr. Nicole Lee Angel

Dr. Angel listens and explains. She is a warm and caring Lady.

My aunt is 81 and has no children and her husband has passed. She is alone and scared. Dr. Angel or her nurse has ever taken the time to fully answer questions or return phone calls. People who have cancer are scared and need some answers and comfort. She was rude when my aunt asked for something for her pain. Dr. Angel compared her to Michael Jackson. Dr Angel also told my aunt that she put her ahead of other patients because she hated to see her coming due to her complaining then recommended that she find another doctor. My aunt has been her patient for close to 2 years. The extended family have never thought Dr. Angel is who she needed. We want my aunt to be treated as a patient, not just another number. I am certain this profession is not an easy one however, the patients that pay the salaries don't have an easy road ahead of them either. What has become common and an everyday "job" to the doctor, is not common nor every day to the patients.

Absolutely rude! 100% do not recommend! Would not even give her one star if there was an option! Not helpful whatsoever!

My mother just see Dr Angel she has no bedside manner and was very cold and distance I am a health care worker a nurse actually and was surprised by her attitude she did not want to answer questions and I reported her to the office manager and then she called and was nice only to have us in to dismiss us as a patient what a nightmare we were there got our results of the bone marrow biopsy. I would never recommend her to anyone or respect her I the healthcare professional .She should retire if she does care for her patients or what they are going three or dealing with. I have been seeing Dr. Angel for 14 years. She takes the time to listen to all my concerns and answers all my questions. Through my journey her compliments have given me a lift.

Diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 38, I wanted an oncologist to go to battle with me! I was determined to be here for my family, esp my 2 young children. 11 cancer- free years later, my son graduates from high school in 3 weeks and my 16 year-old daughter is thriving through high school with her momma behind her! And, Dr. Angel is still behind me, making sure I do all I can to stay cancer free. Dr. A’s bedside manner is great. Always taking time at my appointments to know what’s going on in my personal life. Most importantly, she continues to hunt down any health concerns that may arise. I know I have a partner looking out for my wellness. She did not give us all the information we needed up front. My dad had aggressive AML and needed treatment immediately. She acted like it was no big deal. Thank God we chose the correct form of treatment with little to no information. Later we found out how deadly and quick his cancer was and we were so thankful we made the right decision with no help from her. Obviously we switch doctors and are much happier now! Wonderful Doctor. I can never say how much she help me through my cancer. She has saved my life. Her nurse Pam is awesome. If I need anything, Pam calls me back and makes sure if I need anything she takes care of it in a timely manner. They are Angel's

Dr Angel has been my doctor 15 years. She is so easy to talk with and has always been straight forward. She is so very smart. Can’t imagine the Vance center with out her.

She doesn't spend enough time with her patients

i was under her care while recovering from a colectomy, and prior to being diagnosed by a nephrologist as having waldenstroms macroglobulinemia. she was not sympathetci or empathetic but technically efficient.

Dr. Angel is a gift from God. Her manner is that of a very honest and personable friend that you can trust, and she knows what she is doing. She is irreplaceable. She is one of only a handful of doctors who takes the time with patients to discuss recent research, the credibility of that research, and how treatments will affect the body on a cellular level and why. It doesn't matter how packed the waiting room is, she never rushes her visits. She does tell you exactly how it is, and if you would rather things be sugar-coated than realistic, then she may not be the doctor for you. But if you want the best treatment and the truth about it, she's definitely the one. I would not go to anyone else.

Terrible bedside manner. Would not recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Angel let my sister’s health go so long that if she had not gone to the ER when she did, she would have been dead within 3 days. The cancer meds were causing calcium in my sister’s bloodstream (side effect of the medication). There is a medication that Dr. Angel should have given her to counteract this effect but she didn’t give it to her and let her go for months. She kept her tumor marker results from my sister for 3 weeks. She allowed her to get so dehydrated that her kidneys shut down! Fortunately, my sister had contacts at UAB in Birmingham so my mother drove her to UAB Emergency Room. The doctors at UAB were appalled at the condition Dr. Angel allowed her to get in. They said that if my sister had gotten there 3 days later, she would have died! Dr. Angel fussed every time my sister asked about having scans done stating “those cost $10,000.” In summary, the way my sister was treated by this “doctor” is so horrific that I wouldn’t let her treat my cow! Dr. Angel was my father's doctor when he was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. Her bed side manner is horrible and she made it feel like it was an inconvenience answering his questions. We all knew what his prognosis was but she made it 10 times worse. I really wish he had another doctor before he passed. It would not have prolonged his life but at least he would've had a chance to see someone who was friendlier and seemed like they cared. I would not allow this woman to take my darn temperature and I hope she is provided with the same lack of concern by a doctor when it's her turn to depart this life. Dr. Angel and God literally saved my life I have had clear renal cell carcinoma 4/7 years and September of 2014 I had a crisis in my chemotherapy has stopped working and I was on a chemo that was trying to kill me! She is the very best Mobile has to offer I would recommend her to anyone! I have had several crisis assistance and she does not hesitate to either send me to the chemo lab and have a antibiotic IV for secondary infections I've also been hospi she treats the patient not just the cancer
