Recurrence of cancer in patient that Dr. Lailas treated for cancer and absolutely NO word or return phone calls for several days. Unacceptable and frankly inhumane. A "compassionate" doctor would contact his patient within 24 hours to discuss options, not ignore multiple requests for him to look at test results and follow up with front office and his own nurse promising to contact the patient yet NOT doing so. They would not schedule an appointment for almost a month. And called 2 hours before the appointment to cancel it saying the dr is out of town this week.If you have cancer - this is not the doctor for you.If you have anything - this is not the dr for you!! From the first visit to Dr. Lailas we immediately recognize high degree of professionalism. My son fill confident and believe in him. Dr Lailas is a fantastic surgeon! I could not be happier with the results of my surgery. I put it off for 10 months because I didn’t want to jump into anything. I went to at least 14 different urologist, radiologist and surgeons and everything Dr Lailas said came to fruition. He has a great bedside manner and is very Knowledgeable! Removing your prostate is a scary deal but I am much more comfortable now and everything still works. Thanks Doc! Dr Lailas is a fantastic surgeon! Nick Lailas is the worst doctor I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Thank god I reviewed my blood test and MRI result with 2 other radiologists and a reputable urologist, to learn that all my results indicate normal range for my age. Dr. Lailas lied through his teeth when he read my MRI result and 4k Score just to schedule an absolutely unneeded surgery. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM LAILAS (not a doctor) AS POSSIBLE. He is an excellent doctor. He goes beyond your expectations of a doctor. He is very professional and very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend him for your care.

Surgery went well hopefully I guess I’ll know more soon but Dr sent my prescription to a pharmacy 45 minutes from the one I requested. After his office tried reaching him several times he said it’s my fault and wouldn’t change script. Made my wife drive all that way after we asked all morning for it to be changed.

My PCP referred me to Dr. Lailas on 10/28/19. Dr. Lailas' earliest available appointment for me was 1/2/20, which he cancelled requesting a reschedule shortly before the date. Rescheduled appointment for 3/19/20 was also cancelled by Dr. Lailas requesting a reschedule. Rescheduled appointment for 4/16/20 was yet again cancelled by Dr. Lailas. (First two reschedules were not due to COVID-19 guidance.) Receptionist (well before my first scheduled appointment) refused to accept my registration paperwork in advance and insisted that I "hold" my paperwork until I arrived at the office 30 minutes early prior to my first appointment time (presumably, because if Dr. Lailas cancelled my visit, the office staff would not have to process my paperwork). I have urged my PCP to not make further referrals to Dr. Lailas' office. Completely unsatisfactory treatment of my referral and poor scheduling management.

He was amazing with my little girl. We came in during COV-19 and she really wasn’t enjoying the mask (felt suffocated). He spent the time to talk to her about the mask. He then let her watch the “experiment” while they looked at her urinalysis and explained everything. I know he had more time than his usual but I can see that he has a good heart and cares about his patients. I don’t normally write reviews but I felt he deserved one.

2nd visit with this doctor where we waited over 45 minutes past the appointment time to even see the doctor or be brought back to a room to see a nurse. The staff needs to learn how to schedule or the dr needs to learn how to be on time. Not sure where the breakdown is but it is unacceptable.

Dr. Lailas did 2 procedures on me. A seed implant procedure for my elevated PSA and a kidney procedure for a cancer cyst on my kidney. I would trust Dr. Lailas with my life.

They took me on time on my appointments and my procedure was actually early. Oh, and they knock you out...highly recommended.

It is that no surprise that Dr Lailas is the Washingtonian awardee of 2017. He may be of 2018 also, I am just not aware. He is an attentive listener and a sincerely caring doctor.

Dr. Lailas and his staff were most diligent in helping understand the nature and options posed with my specific diagnosis. At no time in the process, which included other resources, did Dr. Lailas try to sell one approach over another - he was very informed on pros and cons of the options, and was very candid and objective in his analysis, which was gratefully accepted. In terms of my surgery, it was as advertised and looking back on it four months down the road, it went pretty much as planned. Follow up has been professional and prompt, and while no one wants to ever go through this, going through it with Dr. Lailas and company feels like it was as good as it could be under the circumstances. I certainly recommend Dr. Lailas and the Urology Group staff to anyone in this situation! Dr. Lailas has been wonderful throughout my surgery and after. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly. He was attentive in the hospital. The office is responsive as well. Try to schedule appointments first thing or right after lunch!

Dr. Lailas and his team were amazing. I had such peace and trust going into my surgery. I was prepared well by Dr. Lailas on what to expect and his follow-up was wonderful. I owe him my life!

Excellent care! Never have I felt rushed. Always takes the time to listen and explain. The only issue is parking that parking can be limited, however not their fault.

I’ve been going to Dr Lailas since 1992 and totally trust him with my care. He is a kind and caring person that I respect. I highly recommend him and his talent. He has a great personality as well!

I have found that Dr. Lailas has the BEST bedside manner, knows his business and I have complete trust in his decisions. He has taken the "conservative" approach, which in the long run, did not work for me, but he was very quick to apologize, and I could totally feel his sincerity. I would put my complete trust of my care in his hands!

At 33, i've not visited many specialists in my days, but due to the unwelcome kidney stones over Thanksgiving (2017) I was forced to visit Dr. Lailas. My first visit was the day of surgery! He came in and answered all questions, and I was pain free after the surgery. Upon follow my up I passed the remaining stones and couldn't be better/happier with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Lailas to anyone in need of urological services. Highly knowledgeable with great bedside mannerisms. AAA+++

I give high marks to Dr. Lailas from elevated PSA, repeated tests of the PSA, biopsy of prostate, explanation of biopsy results, evaluating different treatments (robotic surgery, radiology, active monitoring, cyro..), actual surgery (pre and post) and follow-up after the robotic surgery. I was very impressed with the amount of time he spent with me along the way and was also very happy he is one of the high frequency Doctors experienced in robotic surgery. Thank you Dr Lailas.

From the moment my husband and I left my consultation, we knew Dr. Lailas was the surgeon I needed. My endocrinologist was keeping an eye on two cortical adenomas on my left adrenal gland, and recommended surgery. Since my surgery my health has already improved! Dr. Lailas explained everything that would happen, from pre-op thru post-op. The entire Urology Group staff that I dealt with was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Lailas treated me for a kidney lesion. My wife and I were nervous as this was a suspected cancer. Dr. Lailas immediately noted our nervousness and set us at ease explaining everything. My partial nephrectomy at Loudoun iNova hospital, and I must admit that this robotic procedure has been the best surgical experience of my life to date. And, either Dr. Lailas or Mari, from his surgical team, have worked to keep us in fully aware from start to finish. I'd recommend Dr. Lailas to anyone.

Dr. Nicholas Lailas is a fabulous surgeon and is an extremely caring member of the medical community. Check out his credentials-incredible! Despite being extremely busy, he is a person who knows how to listen and provide excellent practical advise. He was my surgeon recently and I could not be happier with the results. BTW, Dr. Lialas is busy because patients want the very best doctor they can find, I'm glad my family doc referred me to Dr. Lailas. NM Northern Virginia

Dr. Lailas used to be an excellent doctor. He was very concerned about female bladder issues. Over the past few years he as turned the complete opposite. I don't think it's me. I'm not a high maintenance patient. He has been inaccessible, rude, and really couldn't care less. I would strongly suggest you look somewhere else for urological care, unless you have an expensive procedure to be done. He may pay attention, then.

Dr. Lailas assisted Dr Schenk with my surgery to remove a tumor from my kidney. The surgery was a success and my recovery was excellent, due in major part to the skills of these two doctors. I will forever be grateful to them and highly recommend them.
