Dr. Desantis is an extremely knowledgeable Podiatrist. When he exams your feet and legs, he knows what hurts and where the problems are before you tell him. He inspires confidence. He answers all your questions with detailed facts. He is focused on your needs when he is examining you. His staff is equally attentive. Dr. Desantis treated my 90yr old mother. He was genlte, kind and professional and I would recommend him.

Got a referral from my provider for some recent heel pain and had three choices, unfortunately I chose the most convenient based on location before checking reviews. This guy is a total quack, avoid at all costs. Recommendations: shoe orthotics and wrap (he was more than happy to sell me his recommendations), return in a couple weeks for a cortisone shot if they don't help. They didn't, it didn't. He did not review provided images, but "read the summary" The question that really put me off: "You're how old? You should be happy it's only one foot" I kid you not. Avoid this "doctor" and find someone truly interested in treating your issue, not just lining their wallet with fees and supplies. If I could rate zero stars, I would. Dr. Desantis is awesome. After reading reviews, I was apprehensive. I found Dr. Desantis to be extremely knowledgeable and kind. His east-coast abruptness is something many so cal snowflakes misinterpret as being harsh or uncaring, but quite the opposite. I'm married to a NJ native, so maybe I'm used to it. He doesn't appreciate folks who trust WebMD over his own years of medical school and decades of experience...so don't come in with your own self-diagnosis. I would feel the same way if someone came to me with that attitude. Anyway, Dr. Desantis has been great, and his treatments and advice has solved my 6 months of plantar fasciitis in about 1 month without needing a painful injection of cortisone! Thank you Dr!!! Dr. Desantis and his staff are friendly, polite and professional. They made me feel at ease from the moment I entered their office. I have painful ingrown toenails and Dr. Desantis helped me fix them and it didn’t hurt at all! I am thoroughly impressed and would recommend Dr. Desantis to everyone.

Best podiatrist ever! Super cool guy, down to earth, smart, and kind. He won't try to make you do procedures other doctors may push on you and will treat you safely and efficiently. Rosanna at the front desk is equally as charismatic and personable. Also, you can enjoy the park before or after your visit! All around wins!

I had so many problems with my ingrown toenails. I was a regular and he was very professional and cared about me. I was pregnant and he always asked how I was feeling.

I just came from Dr. De Santis office. He is in a beautiful old house office across the street from beautiful Balboa Park I agree with the previous commenters in that the help is loving and caring. I do not agree with the commenters that did not rate the doctor as hi stars as his help. He was like last year very quick, efficient and personable. He is a Surgeon. My wife is a surgeon. In an emergency they can not be emotional or you will die. His office is incredible beautiful and you will love

I saw Dr. Desantis about 6 months ago. I came in with pain in my foot and had already seen my general practitioner with xrays. I already had what I believed was the diagnosis (someone I know worked for a podiatrist for 15 years.) Although he was pleasant, he ignored the possible diagnosis. He gave me painful injections that did nothing. After 6 months of continued pain and the issue getting worse, I saw another podiatrist this morning. Sure enough it was exactly what I thought it was 6 months ago. I will need surgery, as was originally told to me. If a non-medical back office assistant with only 1st aid training knew it was neuroma, why doesn't a medical expert???? I would suggest you go elsewhere because even if you know the problem he will still get the diagnosis wrong. I saw Dr. Desantis about 6 months ago.
