Dr. Nayer N. Khouzam

My husband was referred for a pulmonary malignancy. Being retired healthcare providers, we are exceptionally careful about vetting our physician choices. Dr. Khouzam was everything we were looking for. He is warm, supportive, explains everything, answers all questions…a superior human being. My husband had a lobectomy at Advent and did very well. On day six, he was discharged and had been off of pain meds for four days. We highly recommend Dr. Khouzam.

One week after consultation Dr. Khouzam and his office manager Tammy had me in Advent Hospital, operating and saving my life. His bedside manner is far superior to most. He is one of the most compassionate doctors I’ve seen in a long time.

Dr. Khouzam took a very difficult case when other wouldn’t, he did a lung surgery on my husband took him 3 times to the surgery room within 24 hours due to my husband’s health issues. I thought he wasn’t going to make it and this wonderful doctor gaves me hopes from start to finish. He is super smart and talented with a nice sense of humor. Saved my life. I was seeing other heart Doctors, fortunately a Family friend after speaking with me referred me over to Dr. Khouzam. I was close to being a walking dead, to borrow a phrase, and with his great skill repaired an aneurysm and replace a valve that was barely doing anything.

I was referred to Dr. Khouzam in Oct. 2006, when I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. He performed a complicated surgery so successful that I think my swift recovery surprised even him. He was candid with me and I knew that he genuinely cared. In 2009, another cancer formed in the same lung and I returned to Dr. Khouzam. Another surgery! 10 yrs. after my first surgery, I am still here! Thanks to my surgeon, whose surgical skills were guided by God. Great sense of humor, too!

Dr. Khouzam is the best doctor in this field! He told me exactly what he was going to do, no beating around the bush! I'm a 36 yr old woman who had a random thing growing behind my sternum. Other doctors wanted biopsies done. Dr Khouzam heard what I was saying when I wanted it removed. Surgery was scheduled and only came out with a four inch incision. I have this new and amazing scar thanks to Dr Khouzam! He is the best, he will treat u in the best way he knows!
