Really appreciate this Doctor! So glad I found his office. He and his staff are always helpful and attentive.

Dr Iqbal has personally helped me with my stressful career and dealing with the highs and lows! He has always been flexible around my schedule! The office is always responsive as well! I recommend!!!

The entire staff is amazing! I personally feel welcomed, if at the office or on a private Zoom. Dr.Iqbal is a kind soul and someone I recommend to my close friends and family!

Been with Dr.Iqbal for 3 years now. I did 6 month of the TMS treatment and I loved it. Needed to break a bad habit of mine and it worked. His staff is first class. They also take just about every insurance that matters so very flexible on setting up a payment plan as well. Thanks hope this helps

The man spoke with me for all of 6 minutes on the phone for my intake. I have severe depression and anxiety. He asked what meds I was taking, asked if anyone in my family had mental health issues. When I tried to tell him that I've battled depression and anxiety since childhood he rudely snapped and said "I didn't ask you about when you were a child, I asked you about now". When I explained my increased depression and anxiety he said "It's all about COVID, everyone feels that way". When he asked my heigh and weight (I'm morbidly obese) he said "Wow, you weigh THAT much! You're really overweight" (Gee, I never knew that! Did you think that it might be due to my severe depression and anxiety? Great verbal skills - NOT). He told me to increase my antidepressant and did not prescribe a medication for my anxiety. I would not recommend this man to anyone. He is cold and impersonal and, he spends no time doing a full psychiatric assessment.

Irresponsible, unprofessional, and simply thoughtless. My family member, after spending time at NY Presbyterian Psychiatric Hospital, was assigned Dr. Iqbal for outpatient care after his release. Dr. Iqbal never called into the initial virtual appointment and, only after a call from my lawyer, did he attempt to call back. He did a perfunctory call with my family member, and then did not provide a follow-up appointment time, despite the hospital clearly indicating on discharge orders that follow-ups were required at minimum on a monthly basis. When my family member had a setback within a couple of weeks, we called Dr. Iqbal again, asking for advice/support. It has been 6 days and not a call back. This is bordering on malpractice and we have been advised to take action. For a doctor who focuses on psychiatric care, this callous disregard of a patient in need is reprehensible. Great office and Dr.Iqbal actually listens!!

Yea …. If you have time to hang around to be called 30-1:30 minutes past your appointment time. In my case get phone calls the next day ….. or not at all. He is the doctor for you ! He doesn’t respect my time even though I respect his and sit by the phone and wait during the scheduled appointment times. I have also never had a Phycharaist be so quick to get me off the phone. Office staff is the best, assisted me with multiple appointments that fit my schedule. Dr.Iqbal is a great listener and I enjoy my time when I'm at the office or virtual.

Dr. Iqbal was over 45 minutes late to a virtual appointment. I had received an email with a link to a video chat service and waited in front of my computer in silence anticipating a video connection only to have him call me on the phone. He asked insensitive and frankly invasive questions about sexual trauma considering it was a first appointment over the phone, questions that I don’t think were relevant to the appointment or at the very least could have been asked with far more tact. He made me feel as though he thought I was only looking drugs, and essentially told me he doesn’t really believe I have the condition I was diagnosed with years ago or that my medication actually does anything because I’m on a low dose. Cold, completely unsympathetic to my situation, and wouldn’t really listen to me when I tried to offer explanation. The session ended with him abruptly hanging up the phone. Don’t waste your time. I took some time before posting a review. The service almost feels like abuse. I can’t imagine that someone in such an important position can have such disregard for patients. Appointments have been constantly missed, when he does show up for the appointments he is late. Bare in mind these are virtual appointments. He refuses to speak to me after HE misses the appointments and the receptionist had to try to get him to call or refill whatever she can. I left messages that I was having adverse reactions to my prescription and needed something else, I still haven’t heard from him. I am no longer on medication and am desperately trying to find a new psychiatrist. Let’s not forget a time prior where he missed an appointment then the office avoided my calls. I had to have a friend call from their number to see if they were really busy or if it was just my phone number. Lo and behold, they picked up for my friend’s number. I called immediately after and my number continued to voicemail like it did before. I had the same friend call them back and deliver a message on my behalf. They asked to speak to me and then it was a three way call. The receptionist tried to convince me it was a coincidence. They have no regard for the needs they claim to meet. The doctor finally called me back and I could hear the annoyance in his voice, but he did send the prescription I requested over a week ago. I took some time before posting a review. Highly Recommend to all my friends and family. Actually listens and the team is stellar!!!

It is a privilege to be a patient of such an intelligent, talented and truly caring doctor as Dr. Iqbal. He is not only an extremely competent physician; he is extremely empathetic. Dr. Iqbal takes as much time as I need to really listen to me. He even takes the time to ask questions when he sees I am in distress but do not talk about it. I cannot recommend Dr. Iqbal enough. He is truly out for the best interest of his patients and makes me feel like I am the only person he is treating when I am sure he is extremely busy. His staff are equally as competent and compassionate.

Dr. Iqbal is an Extremely rude doctor who is arrogant, and thinks very highly of himself. His lack of compassion is very obvious. He overbooks patients, then *Rudely *Rushes you while you're in his office... If you have questions, he gets agitated and stands up to open the door making it clear that the (always under 15 minute session, is Over!) He then has the nerve to Bill My Insurance for a 45 Minute session---Very Dishonest billing practice!!! He is just a prescription writer. Dr Iqbal has quite literally saved my life. 3 years ago, I was blowing every penny I had on drugs. I was at such a low point. This man took me out of that despair and showed me that I had a disease, and began treating that disease. I’ve been clean ever since. It upsets me to see such negative reviews, because that’s not how it is in his office at all. He may be a little direct, but for me, as a recovering addict that’s exactly what I need. His staff is extremely friendly and caring. Because of the medication that I take, there are usually problems with the pharmacy and they handle those calls with efficiency and ease. I would 100% recommend Dr Iqbal to friends and family.

Dr. Iqbal is rude, brusque, and spends the whole appointment writing notes and does not even look at the patient. He does not listen to the patient or care about their situation. He will not try different medications if one is not working appropriately. He refuses to help me with anxiety or sleep disturbance. Unfortunately I have to use him as he is the only psychiatrist in my area that accepts my insurance, but if you have a choice don't go to him.

Just had my first appointment and He has been a great help to me. He is kind and understanding, he took extra time to make sure before I left I was in a great state of mind. Great office staff! I highly recommend

Dr. Iqbal is one of the best Therapists that I have worked with.. He is not only very knowledgeable and caring, he is there for his patients. He truly listens when you talk and gives caring guidance. I would recommend him to anyone in my family or friends without a second thought.

Iqbal is cold mean-spirited old man who thinks way too much of himself.

Horrible experience each visit. His office is always full. schedules patients every 15 mins. He does not listen or even follow up with patients. His office is a mess. He barely talks to his patient. Spends most of time writing notes.

I would not recommend this doctor. Office waiting time was over 45 minutes with 3 patients waiting to be seen. While there are 3 doctors names on the directory he is the only doctor practicing in the office. Upon entering his office there were stacks and stacks of envelopes on the floor. My first thought was unpaid bills. His demeanor was cold, rude and abrupt. I will never go back.
