Total disgrace. The butcher of Boca. Nachlas is everything a doctor SHOULDN'T be. Never been given an explanation as to why he stuck wound dressing in all sinuses when the procedure was non invasive and there was no wound! Just plain stupidity He’s careless, incompetent, greedy and sloppy . Without question the worst doctor I’ve ever been to. I’m paying the price for his stupidity years after the initial procedure. The NASOPORE he inserted is under my mucosa.. When I spoke to the practice about his mistake, their only concern was my review, not how his surgery was botched. Wouldn’t see me until I took the review down. So much for patient care Much of his practice is focused on surgery, and multiple ones! Having seen much more qualified ENT’s they can’t understand his actions. I’ve suffered as a result, not just because of the 3 surgeries he did in one year which is ridiculous, but the treachery of the first. As a philanthropist at Boca Regional I’ve seen many great medical providers. No good doctor screws up the way he did. Everyone is helpful & caring. Dr. Nachlas's team listened to my symptoms & methodically treated them & ordered tests to figure out what was causing them. I suffered for years now I can see an end to the pain & pressure.

Not impressed at all by Dr. Nachlas. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful but outside of that I wouldn’t recommend. Prior to even doing a consultation or even any new patient paper work at all they tell you you’re going to have to do a $300 CT scan. After stating I would prefer to be looked at before being exposed to radiation the doctor seemed like he wanted nothing to do with the appointment. He looked in my nose, ears, & mouth for merely 3 seconds before saying all there is was swelling. You would think with as much “experience” the reviews claim he has he would be able to at least guess if my adenoids or possibly a deviated septum were part of the issue. He then told me there’s nothing I can do except take Flonase (which I mentioned did not work for me) and to come back once I was serious about getting better and do the CT scan and probably an allergy test. Why did I wait so long??? I suffered with sinus polyps for years. I finally had enough and got evaluated by Dr. Nachlas. The surgery was done in the office and was a snap. No pain and discomfort post-op was minimal. Don't believe the horror stories from 20 years ago. Dr. Nachlas's minimally invasive techniques are state of the art. I had a balloon sinuplasty with removal of a large nasal polyp on March 1st. I had complete blockage of my left sinuses with a constant running left nostril for over 6 months. I was on numerous antibiotics and steroids. I went to 3 different surgeons, 2 recommending extensive sinus surgery and then I found Dr. Nachlas. He recommended this surgery, which was the most minimally invasive approach, and I feel great so far. The post op course was much less difficult than I anticipated and although the sinus rinses and debridements are not a lot of fun, I know they are necessary for the best possible outcome. Dr. Nachlas is a skilled surgeon with a very good bedside manner. His assistant, Barbara, is wonderful. I highly recommend this type of surgery and hope the results last for a very long time. It took me almost a month to decide to write this review. I felt that since Dr. Nachlas’s background and reviews by his patients were both equally important when I chose to go to him for my sinus issues, I should share my personal experience for those who value patient feedback as well. I have been a patient at the practice for several years. The office staff have been consistently courteous and accommodating. My prior experiences with Dr. Nachlas have been positive; although, I found the billing to be above average. My last appointment left me quite disappointed to the point where I am now transitioning out of this practice. My last visit was for a suspected sinus infection. I was sent for a CT scan and was seen by the doctor for approximately 10 minutes, which may have been sufficient for his level of experience and considering I was his last appointment on a busy day. Dr. Nachlas reviewed my CT scan and stated that my sinuses were “bad”, looked inside my nose with a flashlight for approximately a few seconds, staying at the base of the nostril, stated “that looks good”. He prescribed me a course of antibiotic and steroid. I’ve asked about a Wilson nasal rinse approximately four times, to which I did not get a response. I was asked to undergo allergy testing that would cost me $1,500 and come back in three weeks. When I received my bill for the office visit, I was very taken aback at the $570 out of pocket expense (this being early in the year, we have not met our deductible yet). I had agreed with the CT scan charge and an office visit; however, was confident that an endoscopy was not performed. I called the office to discuss this and was advised that Dr. Nachlas documented that he did scope me and that nothing can be done about that charge. I could not believe that Dr. Nachlas would charge me for a procedure he did not truly perform and therefore struggled with this review. He may have decided that going further into my nasal cavity with a scope would not be necessary, seeing what he needed to see; however, should not have charged for a true endoscopy. This was equivalent to my primary doctor looking inside my nose/throat with a light. For those that have had an endoscopy will understand the difference I am referring to. Subsequently, I had to travel to NY for a funeral and my father insisted that I visit his ENT he has been going to for years. I had an office visit and a true endoscopy, feeling the scope go well beyond the nasal opening and taking longer than a few seconds; this was done through both nostrils. The bill was $275 out of pocket, and I was advised that allergy testing, especially at the cost I was quoted, was not necessary. I realize my review is lengthy; however, I wanted to relay my entire experience and be fair and objective. I am left even more disappointed than I was initially, and my last experience confirmed that I was charged for a procedure that was never performed, charged at a considerably higher rate, and advised to spend exponentially more money. This practice, sadly, appears to be more of a cash machine. It should not cost almost $600 to visit an ENT for a sinus infection, and you should trust that your doctor will only bill for services he actually performs. Accommodating office staff and an experienced physician; however, after years at the practice my last experience left me to believe this is more of a cash machine. I was charged $570 for an office visit to diagnose a sinus infection that I already suspected I had, and advised to undergo $1,500 allergy testing. The office visit and CT scan charges were legitimate; however, I was also charged for an endoscopy that was never performed. When I reached out to the office staff, I was advised that Dr. Nachlas documented it in his notes; therefore, it is legitimate and I am responsible for it. It should not cost almost $600 to diagnose and prescribe treatment for a sinus infection. I went to another experienced and accomplished ENT while in NY and was charged $275 for an office visit and a true endoscopy, and was advised that allergy testing, especially at $1,500, was not necessary. Please consider this prior to making your decision.

I can't say I enjoyed my nasal surgery, but Dr. Nachlas & his staff made it about as pleasant as possible. More importantly, they made it easy. His office is very organized and gave me detailed printouts about what to expect before, during and after surgery including lists of what I'd need during recovery. I got a quick call back in the middle of the night when I ran a slight fever. They also pre-cleared the procedure with my insurance company so there were no surprises on the financial side either. It's just a well-run outfit that pays attention to detail and maintains high standards. Quite refreshing, actually. Dr. Nachlas is a true shining star! Not only is he supremely and expertly knowledgeable, he is kind,caring,and gentle. He has never rushed me, and has always patiently answered my questions. I had the absolute pleasure and good luck to choose the Nose and Sinus Institute of Boca. My first encounter was with Debbie at the front desk who now is check out. Debbie was knowledgeable and friendly. Due to COVID restrictions she recommended I FaceTime with my husband from the exam room. I will always appreciate that recommendation as we have done this several times at various dr offices. Then I met Martha Botero PA who gave me a thorough exam recommended meds and was gracious enough to address my husband. I have seen Martha many times prior to my recent surgery. She is kind, gentle, professional and explains everything to the patient and listens to the patient. Kim , Martha’s assistant is awesome Unfortunately after several months of conservative treatment for a chronic infection, surgery was recommended. Them I met Dr Nachlas my surgeon. He was wonderful from the start. explained everything I was to expect. I am reaching the end of my surgical recovery. Thank you Dr Nachlas, I couldn’t be happier with you. I was skeptical about going to a sinus specialist because I had already had five such surgeries over my lifetime and decided to suffer rather than go through another surgery. During my last surgery over 10 years ago a nasal septum button was place and over time I was constantly congested. My button fell out a few months ago, I reluctantly made an appointment to see Dr. Nachlas. Well, long story short had a cat scan done that day, he looked at the scan, examined me and informed that I did not need that button because the perforation was so minuscule, and suggested I use Navage. I was petrified to say the least of what I was going to wake up to on my face after the procedure. Literally Dr. Nachlas is an absolute artist. There is barely a scar and it is healing well. Dr. Nachlis does excellent work! My nose (so far so good--fingers crossed) feels very good and my breathing is clearer. After nasal surgery and an attempt to have throat issues addressed I was informed Dr. Nachlas does not do throats. I was obviously confused as he is an ENT and we have been going to him and establishing a relationship. I am beyond disgusted that not one person mentioned this upon any of our visits when I explained to them we had additional ENT issues we were wanting to address. NEVER would we have gone there. Now I have to start all over. Waiting area was so packed and kept us waiting over 2 hours during COVID. The mask they give you is so thin and is no where near what you need to be safe. After nasal surgery you would think they would be more careful.Apparetnly Dr. Nachlas is only a nose guy. Who knew?? As he is an ENT but maybe just an E. While no surgery is ever "fun" the reconstruction of my nose and the disaster on the inside that Dr. Nachlas corrected was far less traumatic than I anticipated. Dr. Nachlas and the staff did a great job of informing me of what was going to happen, how long recovery would take and what to watch for. I am very satisfied with the outcome and I am breathing easier than I have in years! I am looking forward to my next 5K run to really notice the changes. UPDATE: It has been over a year since I had my surgery and everything has reverted, but now I have discomfort where I did not before. I have also lost some of my sense of smell that we quite acute. Not to mention that Dr. Nachlas had incorrectly "coded" my follow up appointments resulting in billing costs that should not have occurred. I am not impressed with the surgery, nor the billing practices of Dr. Nachlas and his office. I will be looking for another ENT doctor to correct what Dr. Nachlas was not able to do properly. I was recommended to use Dr. Nachlas by my primary E.N.T., Dr. James Houle. I had had a balloon sinuplasty about two years ago by a different E.N.T., and it collapsed after about 1.5 years. Dr. Houle encouraged me to try Dr. Nachlas this time. I have had a wonderful experience with both Dr. Nachlas and his entire office staff!. Amazing experience. Dr. Nachlas treated my ongoing sinus infection. He did an amazing job! Every appointment was smooth, on time, and professional. The staff was so friendly and always very helpful.

Dr. Nachlas and his staff, particularly Sandy Friedman, were outstanding. After being unable to get surgery scheduled with another doctor due to insurance difficulties, we went to Dr. Nachlas. Understanding our daughter's serious distress with the chronic sinus pain, antibiotic and steroid use, he and Sandy worked expeditiously to get our daughter scheduled swiftly. Dr. Nathan Nachlas is a brilliant and passionate doctor. He is innovative and the top of his field. He is thorough, efficient, kind and patient. I recently had successful advanced sinus surgery, including balloon sinuplasty with Dr. Nachlas. He adds a very personal approach to his work. I could not be more pleased. In addition, his office runs like a well-oiled machine. Martha Botoro, his Physician’s Assistant, is wonderful, well respected, experienced and knowledgeable. I went to see Dr.Nachlas due to a problem of sinusitis and polyps that I had for a long time. Dr.Nachlas recomended that I needed to do a Balloon Sinuplasty in order to open the sinus and take out the polyps. The surgery went really well and I just needed a two day recovery. About a week ago I had a functional surgery done by Dr Nachlas to help with my breathing. The experience has been great so far and Dr Nachlas and his team have been top notch in every way. Dr. Nachlas saved my life! It first started as snoring, then one day I would have one nostril clogged and the other the next day. So I went to dr. Nachlas he was so pleasant, spent time with me, informative and made me feel like I really was with the best of the best. Dr. Nachlas saw me on the first appointment, asked the right questions, was personable and didnt treat me like a number. I have been a patient of Dr. Nachlas for nearly 10 years, upon moving to Florida. After suffering from chronic sinus infections most of my life, I was fortunate to find this office. Dr. Nachlas is simply the best of the best. As a teacher, my sinus infections became unbearable leading to surgery 10 years ago. Recently, my sinus infections returned and I chose to have in-office sinus surgery. By far the best experience I have ever had with a medical team. I came to Dr. Nachlas because I suffered from severe sleep apnea, and could barely breath through my nose. On the first visit, Dr. Nachlas performed a physical examination, did a CT scan, and then reviewed the imaging results with me right away. After allergy testing and a pre-op appointment, I was ready for surgery. I've had 9 surgeries in my lifetime, and this was undoubtedly the easiest and most comfortable of them all. The procedures completed during surgery were: balloon sinuplasty, computer-assisted endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, turbinate reduction, Vivaer treatment of the nasal valves, nasal valve repair, and nasal swell body reduction. Dr. Nachlas and his team are simply the best--hands down as good as it gets. Not only are they experts in their field, all members of the staff are extremely courteous, informative, well-organized, and caring. I'm 8 days post-op today, and my ability to breath through my nose has never been better (I've heard it's still going to improve in the coming weeks). I have had breathing issues for as long as I can remember and decided to start seeing Dr. Nachlas a year ago. I have gotten allergy shots, nasal sprays, antibiotics etc. nothing was helping so this year I finally decided to get sinus surgery which has already changed my life. I am only a week out post surgery and I can already breathe 10x better than I ever have. My wife recently learned she had some issues with her sinuses and after an MRI discovered some issues, she consulted with Dr. Nachlas and with his guidance, my wife decided surgery was the best course. Do your research on balloon sinoplasty before you do it just bc Dr Nachlas recommends it. I get the feeling that this doctor is more interested in making a buck than actual helping patients.

I was suffering with nasal congestion and blockage for quite some time. Dr Nachlas diagnosed my condition as chronic sinusitis and performed a balloon sinuplasty. The doctor and his staff explained everything in a detailed and comforting way. Following the procedure, while recuperating, the staff followed up, guiding me to full recovery. Dr. Nachlas is very knowledgeable, caring and trusting.

This doctor is a horrible surgeon. He has one aim, to make himself money. The patient is an afterthought. Multiple surgeries, in many cases unwarranted, seems to be his mo. Stay away.

This was by far MY WORSE MEDICAL experience... I can’t say enough bad things about Dr. Nachlas.. I had trouble breathing from one side of my nose, and he made me go under 2 surgeries and was NOT able to fix the issue although he guaranteed he would. The third time I went to see him, not only did we wait 2.5 half hours in the waiting room but he walked in and didn’t want to answer any of my questions on “why he wasn’t able to solve it “. He would cut us off and simply say “I need to do it another third time. “ he was impatient, arrogant and wouldn’t answer any questions. I strongly recommend anyone not to go there, Dr. Nachlas is unable to give you the patient-doctor relationship you deserve, you are just a number to him that he can’t be spending more than a minute and 25 seconds with. He obviously didn’t do his job right and is unable to say it or justify it. His PA walked before he got into the room and gave an ENTIRE different diagnostic than the one he did. Is this for real??! All Nachlas did is charge a bunch of money, he performed an ineffective surgery at best and and in my opinion it was a total failure! In my opinion he will offer to perform surgery on just about anyone for the $$$. There are far better doctors in South Florida to choose from.
