I'm sorry to learn that Dr. Patel is no longer practicing at Lee Health. I've been his patient for the past 3+ years, and have always found him to be competent, caring, communicative, and amusing. I give him 5 stars. Good luck, Doc!

I would not recommend. Not a fan. He refused to give me a refill because I hadn't completed my bloodwork which was less than a year old. I was going on vacation for 2 weeks and said I would do it after I return. He still said NO. So, I was without my diabetes medication for two weeks while on vacation. Which caring doctor does that? The better solution would have been to provide a 30-day script and zero refills. Terrible I would avoid at all cost.

Explains everything, doesn't rush you and calm demeanor is welcoming! Very patient, answers all questions! Pursues root causes of symptoms!

I had a Telemedicine visit with Dr. Patel because my regular doctor wasn't available for my health concern. As soon as he appeared on video he sighed and just stared at me. Wasn't friendly at all. After I initiated the greeting he asked me to "put my children away". Mind you both of my boys were being quiet, one was just sitting by me because he was curious. I moved and began talking and my other son asked where I was going. He again TOLD me "you need to put your children away". They weren't being disruptive at all! Moving forward he started by basically telling me why was I diabetic so young and that it wasn't well managed. I wasn't even seeing him for my diabetes! I told him I became diabetic when I was 11 and do the best I can. He continued to insinuate I didn't take care of myself properly. Upon reading his notes after the visit he had more about things that weren't related to my reason for calling and stated there was no chief complaint, as well as basically calling me a liar.

He was very sincere during the visit and seemed knowledgeable.However, some of the medical information he gave us was incorrect and he did not follow thru with ordering treatment. The office was unresponsive to our requests for follow up information. We are switching to Millennium instead of Lee

Very complete intake interview and exam - very compassionate - good plan of care! The office is responsive to questions and issues. I highly recommend Dr Patel to other SW Florida residents. The office staff are very kind and thorough.

For me .a white anglosaxan woman , it not go well. I truly needed a good dr. because my dr moved to Tampa. He did not seem to care to help. Then he read my records wrong. I called records to find out why something wasn't on there that he said. He didnt go back to my dr. But let us give him benefit of doubt. He had terrible cold and was wearing a mask. Hope you find him feeling better! I found a good dr again.

Dr. Patel's intake interview was the most through and insightful I've ever had. His diagnosis and treatment protocol cleared up my trigeminal neuralgia in about four weeks. I've remained symptom free for four months now. If you've ever had a lightning storm going off in your face every few minutes, this is a blessing. In addition to Dr. Patel, I was impressed by the professionalism of the entire staff, the intake desk, the nurses, and the technicians were all first rate.

Dr Patel is a wonderful knowledgeable medical doctor. He shows companion and patience. He has been my doctor for 20 years. Thank you for keeping me aware of life changes and my options.

Terrible! Misdiagnosed me with Hepatis B! He simply misread the lab results! I took the same results he gave to me to another doctor for a 2nd opinion, and he said that I don't have anything. I got 2 more blood tests proving it. Dr Patel never returned my calls to explain. Do NOT trust him!
