Dr. Mahmoud is highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also patient and reassuring. I felt safe and cared for throughout the whole process.

She is the worst dr. I have ever seen. I schedule to do a surgery with her almost 5 years ago, before the surgery I requested to do one more time a CT scan, she was on vacation. After the CT scan came back and my colon in a good condition back to normal, I went to the hospital for the surgery day and in the back of my mind I really do NOT want to do it. After I changed my close and put on the hospital close I decided to defiantly I do NOT want to do the surgery, my gut telling me NOT to do it and I feel great, Then they call dr. Najjia to let her knew my decision she spook to me and my sister over an hour and forcing me, scaring me & threaten me I must to do the surgery because if I don't do it she will have to put a hall in my stomach to poop through it if I got Diverticulitis again. Of course after she scared me for 1.1/2 hour and ending doing the surgery. In the other hand she told me the surgery will be microscopic surgery with a small incision on my west side and above my belly, BUT SHE NEVER TOLD ME SHE HAVE TO CUT ME FROM ABOVE MY BELLY TO VERY CLOSE TO MY PENIS AND IN BOTH SIDE OF MY WEST CUT??? I was in severe pain from the cut all my stomach muscle been cut and it took a long .... long time to heal. Additional to that they rip off my entire muscle in my right shoulder & ligaments and it took me over a year and half with therapy and medication and many of steroid injections to get better. But my colon surgery never get better My stool after the surgery small and round very my like an animal??? My colon having a lot of inflammation every day until now after that stupid doctor operation ( I really believe she did not operate her self on me I believe her resident student did the surgery on me and they cut me all the way and they messed up my right arm shoulder. I pray every single day for this dr. to get punched and get what she deserve ( Pain, nightmare and darken for her life as how much she did on mine) I do hope she will burn a life & in hell everyday for the rest of her life. She is NOT a human she is an evil. P.S. I forget to mention that: After my surgery in one month I went down with a family member for after the surgery follow up visit, I have blood and puss going out of my belly, she did not even looked at me or my belly and spent 7 minus on the computer without look at me at all and then she said "you do not have to come back here again you are ok" How dear are you to fuck my life upside down and get away with this? I am for sure they are so many many many .... other suffering because of you? This kind of evilness deserve minus 1 trillion star.

I waited 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours to be seen at each visit. She did not examine me prior to surgery and did not do a good job of the actual surgery

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Mahmoud after I was diagnosed with stage II colon cancer at the age of 46. My gastro physician made the arrangements for me to go to her office within a week of my new diagnosis. After sitting in the office for quite sometime, Dr. Mahmoud spent about an hour with me, explaining what was next to come. Although I don't appreciate waiting in a physicians office for an extended period of time, the wait was well worth it in the end. Dr. Mahmoud is a wonderful doc.

She is horrific, I would have walked out but I was in tears from how disrespectfully I was treated that I couldn’t leave.

I had colon surgery at the university of Pennsylvania, and the doctor who did the surgery " Najjia Mahmoud " I thought she did spend sometime with me when I went to have a consultation with her. She spend about 40 minutes with me and conversed me that is the surgery will be a great solution for me. I just have my surgery done by Dr. Mahmound , she is very knowledgeable professional, and also great follow up by her team.

Dr. Mahmoud gave my mother great care. She operated on her at 88 years old and gave her years to spend with her family. Great doctor, great bedside manner

The absolute WORST dr appointment of my life... I waited 3 months to get into see her... waited two hours past my appointment time to see her... she was rude... unfriendly and insensitive... I have never rated a doctor before because I've never felt compelled to... but this visit as well as her bedside manner was so horrific I felt it warranted a review! Penn Doctors are normally wonderful... this was very disappointing I do not suggest seeing her!

Very bad experience. After unsuccessful surgery have tried to contact the doctor early in recovery stage, never have heard from her. Overall impression that I was treated as an object for skill improvement purpose. Or charging my insurance. Or both. Would never recommend her.
