Prostate Surgery. Dr. Chavla was very professional and caring. I have been seeing him for about 10 years for Urology issues. Always gives me a "spot on" diagnosis and excellent care.

Dr. Chavla and his staff are very caring and helpful. The wait times vary but all in all great Dr.

recently treated for bladder cancer and BPH. Dr. Chavla made arrangements for me to get initial evaluation and treatment so that there wasn't a delay in treatment. His office staff are nice. They have good personality and made me feel cared for as a person and as a patient. The surgery went much better than I was expecting, the OR and Anesthesia personnel were very professional. Having had the bladder surgery go off without a hitch made me more confident about getting treated for the BPH. The cooled thermotherapy for my prostate was relatively mild; I had seen patients in the past both in my nursing days and later on as a family Practice doctor after they had the old fashion TURP and that kind of procedure would not have been acceptable to me. Over all, I give Dr. Chavla and his office staff in the Richland office "Highest Recommendation".

Excellent provider and nurse. I was scheduled for a self referral/consult for Vasectomy within a week. I had the surgery the following Friday. Minimally invasive, skilled surgeon, good sutures. Followed directions, Healed up well and almost %100 within two weeks. Insurance was promptly billed and no complaints.

Rude staff . No compassion. And when I called them out about it, they 86'd me and hung up.

Have seen Dr. Chavla for about 10 years. Never had a bad experience. Three surgeries, two procedures, all went well. Always treated me fine. Little late sometimes, but fine with that cause there has been an appt., or two, when he probably spent more time explaining things to me that put him behind as well.

I was diagnosed with bladder cancer over 8 years ago, the fact that I’m writing this is proof of Dr. Chavla’s performance! I would recommend him without any reservation.

Dr Chavla needs to fire lady at front desk she is a b word I like dr a lot better when he was with dr foss he’s losing business with her she doesn’t tell doctor everything about our conversation

Horrible service dr.chavla seemed under the influence of pain meds his eyes roliing back and slurred speach he asked the same question multiple times didnt really seem sympathetic to my situation or knowledgeable at all seemed a bit un hygienic as well wouldn't refer this quack to anyone

Kelly the main billing person tried over charging us 3 times, talked down to me constantly when I asked her about it, never apologized once when she found out she was in the wrong, refused to let me talk to Dr. Chavla who is apparently the one person she reports to, talked over me repeatedly, and hung up on me! If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Dr. Chavla "treated" my grandpa, and I drove/attended most appointments. This is the poorest ran office I have ever been too. There is no communication between staff, the office staff is nice but the Doctor himself if the worst. Talk about a God complex. He's rude, impersonal, pushy. The wait time is ridiculous. My husband was not feeling well, we waited for over 2 hours to see the Dr. He spent about 10 minutes with us, he was nice, but a long wait to hearp he would ck his bladder in a week. The staff was very nice, maybe they have new girls working.

I've seen lot of negative reviews on Dr. Chavla's office, but I have not shared the same experience. I just had a vasectomy with him and he and his whole staff were great, friendly and helpful. None of the complaints we have are with the doctor, but instead his terrible office staff, specifically the office manager, Kelly. The office staff tried to get $350 from us over three asks, turns out we only had to pay $50! But she would have just collected if I didn’t raise a stink. She hung up on me, refused to let me speak to the doctor, was extremely rude and condescending, and apparently answers to no one. We will never return and advise all our friends and family to steer clear of them.

Dr Chavla is terrible. Lies to your face. We had a written consent to just go in and remove the kidney stone above my bladder with basket retrieval. He took a xray prior to the surgery and decided I didn't have a stone. Any novice knows a stone behind the pelvis bone doesn't show up on a regular X-ray. So he skips looking for it and just rams one of his own stents up me for no reason. Still had kidney stone post surgery. GFR >60 before surgery with stone. GFR 37 post surgery. Staff lies too.

I arrived at the doctors office for my appt 20 minutes to gill out paperwork. His office was full of people and they told me when I checked in they were very busy that day. The lady at the desk was very kind I was taken back into the room around 34 minutes later. Another 15 minutes passed and an office staff man came by to check in and let me know what the status was and that I was next. I was greeted at the door with a hand shake and he was very concerned and listened to my concerns.

Terrible service. Always have to wait for a long time in the room for a doctor. They charge $300 on your first visit even if you have insurance. Don't follow up with phone calls when need an advise at the most. So end in ER. Doctor doesn't treat problem correctly, almost lost my kidney. Very upset with this office.

WARNING!!!!! Horrible doctor!!!!! Rude had an appointment wasn't seen for over 1 1/2, put in room one test done (at least she was nice) he came in starting yelling at me because I came from my home 100 miles away to see him instead of someone in my hometown (which I couldn't due to work schedule) just took a urine sample (not the first one in morning one like he should have) told me he didn't see anything that I came for (blood present) chided my doctors I see, told me I had to go to the local hospital there for a test and then return for the results. I can't do there. All the time being very rude, Even left the room for a cell phone call he got while in the room with me, left, and didn't come back for almost 1/2 hour with no one checking on me. Plus was seeing patients from the day before because he wasn't there that day to see them. They should have call and had me reschedule but didn't and on top of that charged me $300.00 cash. I worked in a medical office for 14 years before moving to Kennewick. I have to say this doctor is heartless, arrogant and has no compassion! He may be a great doctor, but definitely not for female patients.

Read some of the other reviews and now would like to add the following: Very organized, systematic doctor and not at all confrontational. He has acquired an excellent amount of data and information before making a decision/conclusion as to recommended future treatment. I recommend him with confidence but do be ready for some wait time before seeing him. I found the staff friendly and professional.

Dr. Chavla is a caring and kind urologist and also very intelligent. He listens and lets you know what is going on. I would recommend him to anyone.

All I can say is Wow !! ........ The only thing I recommend is that you DONT go here. His staff are rude and they do not advocate for the patient. My husband had to have a random drug follow up for his work. He was required by the City to use a Urologist - when in actuality he would have had better clinical documentation if he was allowed to go to his diabetic dr. Dr Chavla is a terrific doctor. He takes time to answer all questions and is skilled in his procedures. Unfortunately his staff are as bad as it gets. They lie about their contacts with my insurance company, lie to cover for each other and even forgot to order the items necessary for an in-office procedure that was scheduled a month in advance. The staff didn't read letters from my insurance co. After more than 3 years of seeing him every 3 months, I can no longer put up with his lying staff

This man was totally sympathetic to me while I was in the emergency room and he was suggesting that a surgical procedure to my scrotum was the best bet for me. "The easies and most comfortable for you". He assured me that I would be well taken care of and would be given the best after care. He performed the surgery and then completely forgot about who I was. I've been dealing with daily clean and repacking of my scrotum without adiquit pain management. He actually refused the hospital to administer any pain meds during the procedure. He's happy when he will make money cutting you but be ware, he cares nothing about you as a person. Went to Kadlec ER in the middle of the night to treat my husband. Dr. Chavla saved my husband's life! Very fortunate to have him as my husband's urologist.

Dr. Chavla is very professional and covers a lot of territory very quickly. The staff is nice and courteous. Only fault is the time waiting, I'm used to it now and just make sure my phone is charged for Candy Crush or I have a good book.

Had an appointment today, and I want to say that Dr Chavla is a very nice person, and a highly professional urologist. His office staff were friendly and professional. The appointment was good in every aspect. I am amazed at the other ratings that were low scores as this office, staff and doctor I consider among the best I've been to in the four first world countries I've received healthcare.

I was referred to him as followup for passing kidney stone. I was first patient with 8am appt. By 9:30 I finally saw him. He was rude to me asked the same questions over, treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. Then while I was talking his cell phone rang, he answered it and walked out of the exam room. So I walked out, told receptionist why then left. An hour later she called back, said Dr. Chavla refuses to send my stone to lab since I walked out. I have to return to get it.

I was referred to this doctor by Kadlec after an ER visit. I am uninsured, made that very clear to the ER doctors and to the receptionist at Dr. Chavlas office. My visit to Dr. Chavla cost me $250. During my visit, ALL the same questions were asked and another urine sample. I explained that all of this was covered during my ER visit. Dr. Chavla picked up on my frustration but continued to ask the same questions. I paid this Dr. $250 for a meet and greet. Will never go back.

When my husband told them that he did not want to give out his SS number he was told that he would not be seen by the doctor unless he left a $250.00 deposit. Dr. gave me a much less invasive alternative, as well as taking all the time I requested to help understand the risk and reward. Further, he took to extra step to assist at the hospital during complication during the middle of the night during recovery.
