Dr. Nadu A Tuakli

I have been a patient of Dr. Tuakli’s for 30 years. She offers practical advice which has saved me from unwarranted medical procedures and has preserved my health through the years. The doctors she refers me to, when needed, have been excellent.

Dr. Tuakli is a true professional and we trust her completely. She is the primary doctor for myself, husband, son and mother! I can’t thank her enough for always looking out for the best interest of me and my family! She has truly been a blessing, especially guiding and caring for my mother, who is in better shape than she was 4 years ago, she will soon be 90 in a month! I highly recommend her as a primary doctor, if you are looking for someone that gives unique care and knowledge of improving your health.

Dr Nadu is very friendly and Nice . I give 5 stars for her but the front desk lady is horrible.. 0 star . The worst receptionist I ever encounter

Her office manager is super rude! No loyalty to long term patients She is not a bad physician. However, her staff’s opinion about you will definitely carry more weight than the relationship you think you are building/have built with her. Greatly anticipating her response (if there is one). I wonder just how she will “proudly defend herself” when confronted with an accurate review. Dr. Tuakli has been my physician for almost 20 years. I trust her medical opinion and am glad to see her post on the Coronavirus, they are straightforward and give you food for thought.

Dr. Tuakli is the best! I have been a patient for 20+ years. She is a super diagnostician and has kept me well. Took a few years, but I finally got my husband to see Dr. Tuakli, and we credit her for the diagnosis of kidney cancer and for keeping him well after surgery. This note conveys my sincere appreciation for Doctor Tuakli. Because of her dedication and conscientious service I receive from her year after year, words cannot describe how grateful I am to her for the following: 1. Appreciating the time she takes to update her patients of COVID-19; 2. Revealing her professional expertise, care, and concern; 3. Having a welcoming, courteous, and friendly staff; 4. Making my office visits friendly and pleasant; 5. Radiating her best and positive attitude; 6. Demonstrating active listening skills; 7. Enjoying our conversations, humor, and laughter; 8. Conveying comforting and reassuring suggestions; 9. Recommending nutritional guidance for my health and longevity; and 10. Prescribing facial enhancements to retain a youthful appearance!

My experience with Dr. Tuakli was disappointing to say the least. My disappointment largely stems from her strong beliefs in naturopathic and alternative medicine(s). This is a primary reason why many patients choose to stand behind her ridiculous medical decisions and beliefs. She preaches delusions to her patients that “big pharma” is out to rob everyone blind and that various supplements and vitamins are “the answer” to most chronic health issues. Ironically, she has fully stocked shelves of these vitamins/supplements she believes in right at her clinic! My intention is not to glorify the work big pharma has done, but rather, draw attention to the fact that if these products really “worked”, pharmaceutical companies would have invested in their benefits long ago. She sells these ridiculous products at “premium” prices to all of her patients along with an array of beauty and anti-aging products. She even claims that her products are “more reliable” than similar “cheaper” products you would find at your local vitamin or supplement shop. If you choose to go through with this place, please DEMAND REPUTABLE EVIDENCE of all the crazy supplements she WILL start you on. PLEASE READ about these treatments, for your own health! In essence, my point is this: If you want a doctor that is a strong believer in modern medicine, up to date with current best practice guidelines, or more simply put a “good doctor” please avoid this place at all costs. The receptionist is also just plain rude and does not function to meet the customers needs, but rather, functions to meet Dr. Tuakli’s needs. I have been a patient of Dr. Tuakli for over 10 years and have always received excellent care and service. She is a knowledgeable and caring physician who always comes up with pragmatic solutions and game plans for resolving any of my health issues. I must say, that given my experiences with Dr. Tuakli, I find some of the negative reviews to be incredulous. They reveal more about the reviewer's negative life situation or frame of mind than they do about Dr. Tuakli. Dr. Tuakli is the best doctor in the metro area, and I have been to many. She is an excellent diagnostician. I have been a patient for more than 20 years. Don't understand the negative reviews. She has always been caring and empathetic. I have always appreciated the depth of her medical knowledge and her desire to make sure her patients are well-informed. I have recommended her to family and friends and would not hesitate to do so again.

Dr. Tuakli allowed me to fully express how I felt upon arrival without interrupting me. When I finished explaining what I was feeling, she was so gentle in providing a solution. The beauty of Dr. Tuakli is that she doesn’t claim to know everything about all conditions. She has referred me to Specialists when a condition was out of her realm. I have referred 3 family members and 4 friends to Dr. Tuakli. I want as many people as possible to be treated by a doctor that cares. If you want a doctor that’s going to prescribe unnecessary medicine, keep looking. Dr. Tuakli believes in the holistic approach. Plus, you must be prepared to help yourself. I highly recommend Dr. Tuakli because she’s very knowledgeable and thorough.

Doctor Tuakli is the best doctor ever. I’m seeing her for 17 years. Even when I though I have attention and depression problem, I went to see her before seeing therapist. And I’m glad I did. She asked me to read her book. It was like reading my life story! I understand now why she didn’t explain everything in the office. The book says it all. What I like about her the most is, she tries to educate her patients about their problems. That’s why she always shows graphs, charts, and even her book. Thank you for everything you do Dr.

I would like to give a shout out to my Doctor Nadu A. Tuakli. Not only to I appreciate the care that she has provided to me for over 25 years but I am also appreciative of the Conoravirus 19 information that she is providing to us now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us as we seek to stay safe in this difficult time!

She made my teenagers uncomfortable and does not communicate well with patients. I asked about my menopause symptoms and she told me to read her book. Why? She seemed uninterested and detached. I also called for a prescription refill and they didn’t follow through after expressing the urgency. Also never received results of daughter’s blood test. No VM left to show they made an effort to call. Horrible. Her office also needs updating as well as the medical rooms. Scratched up furniture and very dated. I’m sticking to the Medical groups from now on. $640 dollar lesson learned. Visit offices before making appointments.

Avoid this place worst experience, rude people

She overlooked wife's prior heart repairs and need for blood thinners and my wife had a stroke, so she terminated her care, now I realize it was to duck liability for such negligent "care". Your life could be in danger here. I could document more negligence if necessary...find a real doctor.

Great Doctor, staff is really nice and helpful

Our family has had Dr. Tuakli as our family physician for over 20 years. I highly recommend her for family practice. If you need to see a specialist, Cindy is the Office Manager & can refer you to a specialist close by, if needed. Aster is her Nurse & can administer shots, draw blood for a minimal fee. This practice is one-stop for sure!

Worst Dr ever!!!! I wouldn’t recommend a pet snake to her ( in other words, my worst enemy). Her methods are insulting and not in alignment with practical medical procedures. She offered no advice nor further instructions to address the condition and the reason for the visit. Dr. Tuakli is detached and uninterested in her patients. I found her to be cold and obnoxious. She did not examine me during my office visit rather she spent most of her time dictating/transcribing her chart notes right in front of me, which was objectifying to say the least..

Worst experience, worst doctor ever!!! The last reviewer said if you want coddling she's not the doctor for you, I echo and add to that statement. If you want care she's not the doctor for you!!! Horrible attitude and tends to be more concerned about her ego than her patients. As a new patient, I thought my first visit caught her on a bad day so I kept my second scheduled appointment only to meet again the same attitude and negativity. Such a terrible experience, I'm glad it was just for a physical exam and nothing serious! My wife and I really needed copies of my physical done asap and as we were explaining this to her during the examination, she fails to tell us that she plans on going to Boston the next day...so when i call the next stay asking for status her rude staff simply tells me "i THINK she's in boston" and that my forms will be ready in 10 days! so on the 10th day, i call to see if it's complete and the rude staff is bewildered i called since she already told me it would be ready in ten days! to top it all off, when we get to the office, the forms weren't even ready! the lady just shrugs and says she thought the doctor would have had it completed by now! truly a nightmare experience from start to finish. agree 100% with the other reviewers, that the staff members are just nasty! i would NOT recommend. I have been a patient of Dr.Tuakli's for over twenty years. She is an extremely competent physician, and very proactive. I have no complaints about her or the staff. Her combination of holistic and conventional medicine has worked very well for me. I find her knowledgeable, and appreciate the time she spends with me during exams/consultations. Dr Tuakli was my pediatrician, then my PCP, then my GYN. She is a phenomenal person who always strives to understand the full person. She continues to expand her knowledge as a physician branching off to weight loss, anti-aging, natural medicine, etc. I respect her opinion and hold her advise in high regard. I have always been treated with the utmost kindness and hospitality at the front desk. I arrive 15 mins early with my cards and copay ready. I had an emergency once when I was 15 weeks pregnant and without an OB doctor yet. I started bleeding and called her office, since she used to practice OB as well. She saw me right away and the entire office staff provided the most emotional support I'd ever received on a doctor-patient relationship. I was then referred to a wonderful OB doctor. Dr. Tuakli has been my personal physician for over 25 years and currently serves my husband and daughters as well. I have always found Dr. Tuakli to be caring and knowledgeable; preferring a holistic approach but never hesitating to treat any condition with appropriate test,medication and specialist referrals as needed. As earlier post suggest, her personality does not come across as warm and fuzzy, If you need these qualities in your physician, she may not be the one for you. Thankfully, I don't need my physician to be warm and fuzzy. I prefer a physician who is experienced, efficient and looking out for the best interest of her patients - Dr. Tuakli is all of these things and more! Her front desk staff from time to time can be less than helpful and patients do deserve great customer service. However, as front desk employees change constantly office to office, business to business and year to year, I usually chalk up all front desk hiccups to those individuals and not the Physician. I can't believe Dr. Tuakli is still in business!! She is running a sham of a family practice/internist office. Can't believe she still has her license and her credentials...I wrote a degrading review several years ago. She was the absolute worst dr. I have seen in my entire life and I'm in my early 60's!! The only reason I went to her in the first place was a nutritionist I respected in town recommended her because she was a patient there. Shortly after I saw Tuakli, the nutritionist left the practice. First I was treated rudely by the front office staff, left to wait, then the dr. herself was extremely rude, disrespectful and condescending. I went back several times only because she supposedly was an alternative/holistic doc. That's what she poses as but just the opposite is true. She also talked me into a gyn exam....bad choice on my part. She was just as humiliating on the table while giving me a pap smear and internal exam. I only went in one more time to get the results of some routine blood tests and at the time she had an intern assisting her...she never asked my permission for the intern to be present, in fact the intern questioned me for an hour before the doc came in, then Tuakli joined her and while she was talking to the intern, I interjected a piece of my medical info and believe it or not she told me to shut up and not interrupt. That's why I'm surprised 4-5 yrs. later that she is still in practice in Columbia. Most of her reviews are 1 star (should be less) and all the write-ups are so NEGATIVE...SHE MUST HAVE ALL NEW PATIENTS AND IMMIGRANTS COME IN....once they are aware of what the practice is all about, they never go back!! In fact I was billed for a short consultation for skin care, that was supposed to be free...of course I never paid the bill and they never sent me another one....they knew better!! I read all the posts, and I believe everybody has different point of view. I personally love Dr. tuakli and never had any issues. I have been seeing Dr. Tuakli for more than 9 years now. Never had a problem with front office people. They were always helpful, polite and few times tired as expected. I also never had a problem with any of my paper work, annual check ups, college vaccination, and pap smear or anything else. I don't understand what type of Harassment might someone get from such a knowledgeable doctor. Pap smear is not a comfortable procedure, so if someone is not comfortable maybe they should not be doing that. Yes, the waiting is long, but it's the same with any other doctor office. She also makes sure to spend as much time as she can to explain everything to you unlike other doctors who rush you out of door. She does not have sense of humor that most people like to see that, but what I personally expect from her is 100% attention to my health issues and not making jokes around and trying to be funny. If you are looking for fun time and some one who makes you laugh, then you should go to stand up shows and not to the doctor office. Paperwork always costs money, no matter which doctor you go to. AVOID THIS PHYSICIAN: STRIKE 1-As a new patient, I arrived to my FIRST appointment 20mins early, but the entire office staff arrived 20mins after the time my appointment was supposed to begin (with $30 co-pay). STRIKE 2-I bounced from exam room-to-waiting room for nearly 2-hours, before an Intern called me back to get a summary of my medical history. STRIKE 3-40mins after the Intern, Dr. Tuakli arrived to get a verbal summary read by the Intern, and proceeded to berate me about my health and medical status. I left 3.5 hours later and they NEVER addressed the sole reason I made the appointment. I needed to return to pickup medical equipment, later in the week, so I chalked it up to chance, that my initial appointment was horrible. When I returned three days later the Receptionist and Dr. Tuakli argued the fact that I had made an appointment (I'm guessing for another $30 co-pay), opposed to the drop-in to pickup the equipment. The only bright/up-side to this visit was the young medical assistant (no relation). Thanks for your assistance. I hope this practice doesn't fold/fail around you (although it should). After reading the previous reviews I was a bit nervous about attending Dr. Tuakli's office but my fears were dashed when I made telephone contact with her office. All the required information regarding fees and forms were provided to me. I arrived for my appointment and the staff was friendly, so was the doctor. Whatever the concerns of the persons I believe the office has paid attention to previous comments and made the requisite changes. Keep it up! Experienced physician who considers holistic alternatives in addition to traditional medicine. She's not warm and fuzzy but she is caring, very competent and her staff is professional.
