Dr. Myo Htut

We saw Dr. Htut for my husband's newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. This was meant to be a second opinion appointment. We are happy with the oncologist currently treating him but were looking forward to hearing the expert insight from a specialist from City of Hope. The staff was fine, helpful and supportive. However, we waited for Dr.Htut for an hour. That would've been OK but the first thing he said was that he had a new patient scheduled exactly at the time he entered the exam room. My husband was a new patient too, wasn't he?! Dr.Htut's approach was not personalized, all he said is available online. He repeated that multiple myeloma is not a curable desease multiple times. I think any doctor, especially an oncologist, should be more sensitive without compromising objectivity and facts. The visit was supposed to last 90 minutes, but lasted just an hour. We paid $1, 138 for it as it's not covered by our plan. Deeply disappointed.

He is the best doctor he can reach, he really did not give me life expectancy because of aplastic anemia, he saved me!
