Fantastic physician. Knowledgeable, caring, & experienced. Would recommend her for any and all urogynecological needs!

PATIENT BEWARE!!!!!!!! This office will tell you to check your insurance before you have any services, including therapy. Seems fair enough? EXCEPT, you need to ask the office HOW MUCH$ they are going to charge you. I asked my insurance if covered, they said yes. Physical therapy is over $1100/session, so if your insurance pays 80%, you are paying $200 out of pocket for each session. To make matters worse, they schedule all your sessions 2 weeks apart. You don't see any bills until you have been to at least 3 sessions. Now you are on the hook for $600. OH, let me mention what didn't learn until my third session---there is only a 50% success rate with the physical therapy. I went to Dr Boreham looking for surgery, was told to do physical therapy first and if doesn't work come back to schedule surgery. SAVE YOURSELF THE EXPENSE, HASSLE & 50% SUCCESS GAMBLE. I talked with this office last week to get scheduled. They told me they had to check with insurance. I called back today and they didn't even bother to look get my name to look at my file. They just said that there is no way I was told they would check because they don't do that. I tried to explain (firmly, but not rudely) that I was called that number and what I was told. The woman on the phone told me to "calm down." I then got frustrated and told her that I was calm until she told me to calm down. Anyway, she hung up on the and was being incredibly rude and unprofessional. Considering she didn't have the common decency to hear me out before cutting me off and hanging up, I will not be entrusting this office with my care. I thought Dr Boreham was amazing until I had a small cyst removed and was given a prescription drug that caused me to go into atrial fibrillation for 5 days because it wasn't supposed to be given to people with heart valve issues. When my husband called she seemed bothered and just kept telling me to drink more water and flush it out of my system. On the 3rd day (3rd call) she said to go to the ER. When asked why she gave me a med that is not for heart valve issues, she said she has been giving it to patients with heart valve issues for over 10 years with no problems. That's quite a gamble. I will now have a much higher and more prominent risk of afib and blood clots for the rest of my life thanks to the medication she prescribed which caused my pulse to race in the 185-235 range for 5 days. She really seemed like a good doctor until this issue and not so much as a call or follow up, nothing. I could have easily died from her mistake, and she couldn't bother to even find out. I believe doctors can make mistakes, and sadly that happens, but what is unforgivable was her response... even just to the fact that my heart was racing for 3 days before telling me to go to the ER. I had regular calls from her office until it looked like I was really in the weeds, then all calls stopped. How heartless. Mistakes happen. Lack of concern isn't a mistake, it's a dr's decision.
