Dr Jones is top 5 most caring and knowledgeable doctors I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Dr. Jones talks to me and looks me in the eye. He not only listens to me, he hears me. He makes time and answers my questions. I never feel rushed to get out of there or stupid because I ask the same questions that I asked before. He quiets my fears and that has never happened before. He knows his badge says "Doctor" and not "God." I wish there were more like him.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Monte Jones for nearly 20 years and feel very fortunate to have found him. He is awesome. He listens to his patients. He orders all necessary tests and follows up with information/needed treatment for any problem that occurs.

Most recent visit with Monte Jones, M.D. was several weeks ago. As always, Dr. Jones was professional and friendly. He is always open to answering questions, and he does so with patience and excellent knowledge. In my experience, Dr. Jones works very well with outside professionals to help ensure the best possible care for his patient(s). When you're sick enough to need an oncologist, Dr. Jones has all the qualities their doctor should have.

Dr. Jones not only treated my cancer, but also he diagnosed, tested and referred me to a specialist for an unrelated problem.

Dr. Jones is a consummate gentleman and professional. He guided me through an emotional time when my prostate cancer returned after 6 years of external radiation. He presented me with treatment options, Dr.s who could administer the different treatments and has followed me through the entire process. I consider him a friend and important advisor.

I have been a long term patient of Dr. Jones for years. I've had Dr. Jones call me at 7:30 to discuss something concerning my labs. When was the last time you had a Dr. call you (rather than a nurse or medical assistant) at any time, let alone after hours. Dr. Jones works well with all the members of my healthcare team. It's not unusual that he notices something out of the ordinary, and he'll forward his concerns to one of my other doctors. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jones to anyone.

I have had Dr. Jones for my oncologist since we moved back from TN. in the spring of 2006. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2005. I had a lumpectomy and radiation--no chemo. My cancer was very unusual with a diagnosis of gastric lymphoma--Non-Hodgkins. I had a whole lot of Dr.'s excited at 2 hospitals in Nashville when I was diagnosed. As an operating nurse, they are treating one of their own, and the word spreads quickly. I was then referred to Vanderbilt University Hospital Pathologists-and they held a conference on my tissue slides. So 2 large hospitals there conferred on my biopsy's and tho it was very unusual, they agreed on the diagnosis. It took 2 weeks for me to get a diagnosis. One of the Dr.'s (radiologist) told me that there were 2 pt.'s in Europe with the same DX. Made me a little nervous but I trusted them all. (gastric lymphoma in my left breast!) Dr. Jones is WONDERFUL and he is well liked and trusted by me and my husband!

It was my 3 month follow-up. All indicators are I am doing well.

This has been my personal excellent experience with Dr. Monte Jones. He is a brilliant oncologist and hematologist. He stays up to date with cutting edge cancer treatments and is a true expert in his field. Dr. Jones is detail oriented and responsive to all aspects involved with treating multiple myeloma and its many complicated and potential ramifications including other illnesses that result from the immunosuppression that occurs from cancer and its treatments. He always responds to patient needs and is understanding and empathetic. He treats the whole patient, not just the cancer. Dr. Jones has treated my multiple myeloma for many years since its onset, and I feel very fortunate to be his patient.

I first met Dr Jones in late 2010, and he's been helping me manage my blood cancer across these 11 years since. He's highly knowledgeable, direct and clear in his communications, compassionate, and effective. When I have questions, he takes the time to answer them in as much detail as I want. When I have concerns, we are able to talk about them until it's as clear as possible whether we need to act, and if so, what course of action to take. When it did finally become time to start treatments, he was respectful of our financial concerns and adjusted the timeline accordingly. On every front, I've found him to just be just the doctor I need. Most recently, I was able to thank him for being part of me surviving this cancer long enough to hold my first granddaughter in my arms, and a big smile crossed his face when I showed him her picture. I'm very thankful to be able to have him as my doctor, and I'm hopeful for my future under his care.

While we like the doctor, our last experience at the facility was horrible. My husband did his blood draw, then saw the doctor. Since the doctor couldn't get the lab results, he provided no information regarding my husband's health. We were then directed to wait in the waiting area. We waited over half an hour and finally asked for assistance. After another short wait, we went to the infusion room (over an hour after he was scheduled for his infusion). We then waited another 15 minutes. This was unacceptable. While we like the doctor, our last experience at the facility was horrible. My husband did his blood draw, then saw the doctor. I have an ailment that will require continual care for the rest of my life, so it was important to have a Dr. that I am comfortable with and who really takes my ongoing care to heart. I have been seeing Dr Jones for 15 years for a chronic bone marrow/blood disorder. He is an excellent doctor who listens to concerns and schedules follow up procedures and visits as necessary. I find him to be very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate.
