Dr. Mojgan Khatami

I've been going to Dr Khatami for many years and she has always been a great Dr. Even though I've moved a good ways from her office, I will drive the distance to go to her because I trust her and she's an amazing doctor. She has always listened to my concerns and taken steps to fix it. The best I've ever been to.

This is the worst office I ever been to. The inside of the waiting room is very old looking, the front desk staff is very rude. Dr Khatami made me feel as if I was stupid. Very rude did not listen to my concerns. I over heard her and staff talking about another patient in the hallway. This place is not friendly and they all just stare at you as if your dumb. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODYYYYY!!!! RUNNNNNN!

Dr Khatami is the most compassionate, kind and gentle physician I have ever encountered. She is smart, and always puts her patients first. I can not recommend her highly enough.

There is NOT enough room for me to tell you of all the amazing treatment and care that I have received from Dr. Khatami over the past 20 YEARS!! I live in Temple, Ga, but I have NO issue following her to Kennesaw, GA. I would follow her anywhere!! She took care of me when I pregnant with my 2nd child who is now almost 19 years old. Completely ableist, I explained in detail my mental health background at HER request when it wasn't relevant to my appointment needs. Didn't know what one of my disabilities even was but still shamed me for the medication I have to take to deal with side effects of said disability. Pretty much just sat there and was shamed by her the entire time. The rest of the staff was lovely but she was downright rude and cruel in how she spoke to me about my mental health, which AGAIN, wasn't pertinent to the reason why I even came into the office!

Dr. Khatami is the BOMB!! Hands down, she really is. She is definitely the type to weigh her options before just jumping to a conclusion. When I came to her I was at my wits end and miserable with life. Now I can honestly say that I look forward to a more fulfilling life, and I owe it all to her. Her staff is super friendly, and the nurses at the hospital all recognize greatness as they all had nothing but great things to say about her and her work. Dr Khatami is the best gynecologist I have ever seen…and she will be the only one I see from here on out. She listens to hear and not to respond to my issues, which is VERY nice as most doctors seem to interject and discount any feelings/issues I may have. It’s very easy to get an appointment to see her and her staff is always welcoming and courteous. I went to Dr. Khatami for 15 years. She started out very caring and kind. But the last few visits were intolerable. She was rude, condescending, and impatient. I was shocked. I have read many recent reviews and heard she acted this way, but didn't believe it could be true.

Very non caring my girlfriend was having a panic attack about having to get the bar birth control put in her arm and wanted to hold my hand and they started interrgating her yelling at her to calm down and when they decided to finally let me come in and she was telling me what was going on they came out and told her she could just leave. They raised their voices at her trying to force her to change the version of birth control. I went here for my yearly visit. I knew I was off and expressed this to Dr Khatami. Had to ask 3 times to have my blood work panel done. She didn’t think I needed it. I’ve always had my blood work done at these exams with my previous dr. (Had to find a new dr because of ins...) I get my results and it’s a STD panel ONLY, what???? ... She definitely should have told me that all she does! Now 9 months later I’m finding out why I’m still having my issues after getting my full blood work done! I hesitated in writing this but after a few months I figure if I can save someone else the same humiliation, I probably should. The nurse was the sweetest nurse I’ve ever had! However, Dr Khatami made me feel scolded and I left her office 3 months ago feeling like I did something wrong. 3 different instances happened in one visit, Beware those who have any kind of mood swing issues/hormonal issues, she may not be the right fit. For example, when I told her about my major mood swings and the crippling anxiety I was getting around my cycle, she advised that I “get organized and make a meal plan” for my family. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because of how awful I felt leaving her office. I don’t need to be coddled, but she made me feel as though I were cheating on my husband because I said yes to the STD testing. Then she made me feel as if I were drug seeking when I told her of my anxiety, she practically yelled at me multiple times “I DON’T LIKE PRESCRIBING THIS AND I *WON’T* REFILL IT FOR THE WHOLE YEAR SO DON’T CALL TO ASK FOR A REFILL” I’m sure she’s great in other cases but in this case where I really needed a professional to help me with whatever is going on, she let me down. She really is the best doctor ever. She cares for her patients. Looks at all avenues of medicine to help her patients feel better.

So honestly reading the other comments I was nervous she was going to be stiff but I really think that’s just her professional side. Which I appreciate her being serious. But she actually made me laugh a lot and was really encouraging and nice and didn’t ask any dumb questions about my sex life like if I’m “safe”.

Dr. Khatami is the absolute BEST doctor I’ve been to! She walks in and sits down as if she has all the time in the world to listen to my concerns & always has the best advice. I had an appt last week for yearly exam. Haven't been in 2 1/2 yrs due to insurance coverage. I found the staff very kind and professional as well as Dr. Khatami. She was very thorough and answered all my questions. She even remembered something abt me from 2 1/2 yrs ago. I couldn't believe it. I feel she genuinely cared about me..would highly recommend her.

This was the worst doctor I have ever been to, without a doubt. She assumed things about my sexual history instead of asking and did not listen to a word I had to say, as well as shaming and judging me. Not to mention I got a lab test done with important results and she did not even think about calling and telling me. I waited 8 days and had to call the office myself to see if the results came back which they had, a day after the test was ran. If you are a young adult and are looking for a gynecologist avoid this place at all costs. Had to cancel my follow up appointment because the way i was treated was THAT bad. highly DO NOT recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

During my visit, I felt as though the doctor was not listening to anything I had to say, nor was she taking into consideration the problems which brought me in. As a young woman, I got the feeling that she did not believe any of my concerns and trusted her gut rather than what I was telling her. I felt like I was in a sales pitch for a birth control brand my entire visit. Would not recommend nor will I be visiting this office again. Would give half a star if I could.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had the worst experience I have ever had in my life with this woman! First of all, I should have paid attention to all of the red flags leading up to what should have been my annual exam. You walk into the office and there's two doors off of the waiting room, one of which is labelled 'BOTOX'. Signing in at the desk, the clerk said nothing to me: I had to let her know that I was a new patient and needed to fill out the necessary paperwork. When the nurse practitioner called me back, she first had me give a urine sample in an open paper cup??? She also pricked my finger and took a blood sample, which I've never had done at a GYN. Overall, very dismissive. Once I finally see the doctor, she starts right off the bat asking me invasive personal questions that have NOTHING to do with gynecology. How's your depression? Are you suicidal? How old is your husband? Asks how old I was when my mother died and then fakes some sympathy. Totally unprofessional. Once she began my exam, she immediately informs me that I have a cyst and shows it to me. She said that she needed to drain it, and stabbed it with a needle (no numbing agent!). She then says 'oh, this isn't a cyst, hmm' and has her assistant get a bigger needle. Stabs me again, and this time starts rooting around with the needle when nothing happens again! At this point I'm freaking out, in pain, and she's not giving me any information. After she's done stabbing me she goes 'Well, it's like an abscess or something' and says she'll write me a prescription for antibiotics. I'm freaking out at this point so I just agree and stumble out to the front desk. No prescription was given to me, I had to ask about it and wait 15 minutes. After I leave I realize: she didn't do a pap smear or my annual exam! Nor did she schedule a follow up visit for me!!! NOR DID SHE TELL ME/GIVE ME ANY SENSE THAT SHE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON!!! I had to talk to a healthcare advocate to find a new doctor and in the process talked to a nurse who immediately knew what was going on and said that it's commonly treated with hot baths. Find a different doctor if you are looking for someone to listen and find the best options for you instead of someone just trying to get through your appointment and on to the next. Dr. Khatami is Rude and dismissive. If I could give zero stars I would Went in for a routine follow up on my birth control & to get more as well as to pick up ultra sounds of fibriods in order to have surgery to remove them. She refused to give me the ultra sounds claiming “they are in her chart and are not mine”. It wasn’t until I asked multiple times for them, and about in tears, did she tell me to have my surgeon call her for them. Extremely unprofessional. I could have been told this initially, instead I had to almost beg for them. I also had a very hard time finding a birth control that worked for me. Was experiencing every bad side effect on the list from the first prescribed bc. She switched me to one and the cost was $120 a month. I was extremely hesitant to switch due to cost and the bad experience with the first bc Dr. Khatami put me on. I told her I could not afford $120 a month for bc to which her response was “I’m a doctor and even I can’t afford it”. And told me she would set aside samples each month for me. I returned for more bc and she told me she forgot to put some aside and that she couldn’t guarantee to have them for me and wrote me a prescription instead. After I explained several times I couldn’t afford that and how we talked about this at my last visit, she seemed very over listening to me, she ripped up the prescription and wrote me one for a new birth control, less expensive. No concern for all my problems with the original bc I tried. She didn’t listen to anything I said to her. She infact kept interrupting me to tell me to “listen”. I am self pay, so basically paid $100 for her to tell me I can’t have my ultrasound results, something I could have been told over the phone and had my surgeon call weeks ago when I asked and set up an appointment-specifying I would be there to get more bc and the results-neither received. Dr Khatami is an amazing doctor. I had a miscarriage two months ago and she was exceptional about handling everything. Not only did she “clean me up” everytime I saw her during the miscarriage, she gave me three options during the miscarriage and explained all the risk and went into details like no other doctor I’ve had. She called me at 9:00 pm at night to check up on me and see how I was doing. No doctor does that anymore. She is truly caring and loves her patients. Her staff is very professional too. Stay FAR FAR AWAY from this awful doctor. She was late into the office. I have been with Dr. Khatami since early 2016, have never seen this reception lady smile. She won't even calm down to explain things to you. Doctor was late for my appointment. On another occasion she didn't show up at all. I was still billed for this visit even though I wasn't seen. I have been going to Dr. Khatmi for 10 years. She has always made me feel comfortable and is very knowledgeable. The staff is very friendly too. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great Gynecologist.

I began seeing Dr. Khatami almost 7 months ago and am so happy that I did! She and her staff are great! She is very caring and knowledgeable. It is great to have a doctor that listens and really works hard to help make me feel better. She shows genuine concern for her patients and answers any question that may come up. Her staff is wonderful! Whether it is talking to them on the phone or in person, they are very nice and personable. I would highly recommend Dr. Khatami!

She is the most caring gynecologist I have seen in my 36 years of care. From the first visit and every visit after she had always taken the time to ask the right questions and always listened to my questions and concerns. I have never felt any concern was too small or insignificant to ask. I recommend her to everyone I know and honestly feel very blest to have found her.

Dr. Khatami is a fine doctor, but her staff was extremely rude. I'm so glad I wasn't there for a serious problem because the way the staff treated me gave me anxiety, interrupted by work schedule by calling 4 times in one work day, and I've never been treated that poorly. I would not recommend this doctors office to anyone unless the staff is changed.

Dr Khatami is GREAT - the staff (medical records side) isn't so much. Very difficult to deal with and not friendly. Frustrating.

Dr Khatami is an excellent physician. Every time I go to her, she provides great advice and explains everything in detail. I leave with no questions! I would recommend her time and time again.

I love Dr. khatami. She is very intelligent and listens to my concerns with an open mind. She has suggestions and concerns that aren't always prescription-based which I find extremely important. I would refer anyone to her.

I would gladly recommend Dr Katami she has been so good to me, I was in terrible pain for over three months after going to my previous Dr and having a Pap smear I was told everything was okay but the pain was still there until my Daughter get me an appointment with Dr Katami, as she saw me hurting so much! in the very first visit she notice something was not right and follow up with an ultrasound and then a biopsy, it turned up that I had 3 tumors two of a size of lemons and one as an orange, we follow up with a surgery to remove them. Dr Kahtami had been great! Her staff has also been wonderful... She educates me on everything going on and helps calm my fears about some abnormal test results. She even helped me save money by taking care of my acne so I didn't have to see a dermatologist. I will continue to go to her office!

I did not get past the front desk. The lady working the desk was the rudest and most inconsiderate woman I have ever met. I can't believe they allow someone like that to speak to patients. The guy at the insurance company whom she talked to even commented on how disrespectful and rude she was to him. There was some confusion as to if I was covered or not, I was and have since scheduled with someone else outside of my network, It was all figured out 10 minutes before my appointment actually started yet she still would not let me be seen that day. She wanted to reschedule, she did not want to submit the form to my insurance, and she refused to be of any help. She just absolutely made it impossible for me to be seen. I have never written a review before but I had to this time---this is the worst women's doctor ever. She is rude, abrasive, and accusatory. She doesn't even remember her own conversations with patients and basically gives you the third degree on why you decided to come in and bother her. She has no problem writing a prescription for narcotic pain pills, but she won't write a prescription for an infection that requires antibiotics to be fully cleared up--even if you've been experiencing all the symptoms for over a week.
