When I first started seeing Dr. Syed 10+ years ago, I thought he was a good doctor. He had good bedside manner and took his time to listen to my concerns. He is also very knowledgeable. However, in recent years, he has been taking too many patients. I was starting to be overlooked at Dr. Syed's office. He prescribed medications without considering my background. His staff are also extremely rude, probably because they can't handle the case load and take it out on patients. I transferred to a different doctor's office. It was the best decision I could've made. My new PCP takes the time to know my background and monitor my health conditions. It's been refreshing. My new PCP also told me not to take one of the meds Dr. Syed prescribed because it would make one of my conditions worse. I appreciate not being treated like a number anymore.

Everyone who answers the phone is rude with an attitude. They don't help with nothing and base appointments off of unsure knowledge because they don't know nothing. They are rude and unhelpful perfect duo.

Best compassionate care ever. I have never been so at ease with any doctor than him. Medicine is an Art and he is an expert!

In cahoots with pain management at SDMC and they tell you he is going to "MONITOR" your pain meds which you have been taking for over 10 years for chronic back and neck pain. When in reality he is taking you completely off them. No compassion, uppity attitude and staff is very rude much like him. DO NOT LET HIM INTO YOUR HEALTH CARE

Based on my experience Dr. Syed is competent, caring, kind and operates with patient's best interest in mind. Staff members are also professional and decent. However, this comment does not reflect my views toward Slocum-Dickson Medical Group in its entirety.

Excellent doctor!

Best doc ever!

Only one line for him ‘I trust him with my life’

Dr Syed is one of the best doctor I ever had…. he takes time and address all my concerns. Onetime, I brought a long list of my problems and he whole heartedly discuss all with me. Unlike other docs he never said I can only discuss 2 or 3 problems. Yes we went over my 15 minutes time slot and I was apologizing but he said whoever is in front of him is his only concerns. He would never rush anyone’s visit to finish on time! I know he works hard and truly cares about his patients. I have never mind waiting for him as I know he do justice to everyone! Dr Syed is one of the best doctor I ever had…. he takes time and address all my concerns. Onetime, I brought a long list of my problems and he whole heartedly discuss all with me. I had to have vaccines for green card application he literally wrote a false statement to insurance company as a employment authorization which costed me $1200 even I have a full insurance. This is not even related to my employment. It is just for immigration purposes. I asked his office to put the right statement, and then the office admitted the false statement and the nurse told me that she would talk to the doctor but nothing has changed. And finally I got a letter from collection. I do not recommend Mohsin Syed to anybody. I am so regretful for going to his office. Every single time whether pre or post pandemic and I go to this office, I arrive early as they ask, yet always have to wait about an hour to be seen, even for an NP. Recently when I was there, I was told this particular office had roughly 400 patients. WOW. Let’s do some math. 400 patients, and on average visits might be once a month, sometimes more, sometimes less, so let’s just go with once a month. Business days in a month...about 20. That means 20 people have to been seen each day they are open, during a 7 hour period, because Drs get hour lunches there. SO... the doc MUST see about 3 people every hour, which cuts time to about 20 mins per person. So if you’ve ever been rushed? You know why. If youve ever wait an hour..then it means an incompassionate dr would rather treat his patients like cattle to get them in and herd tbem out as quick as possible, but most of us want to heard for our concerns. So, ultimately the schedule runs late because there is zero concern about our time amd well-being as patients, because any self respectable dr who said his oath would NOT take on so many patients where ‘time is of the essense’. Patients deserve more than 20 minutes. Doctors shouldn’t overschedule. Saved me from death. It is gift to have dr.Syed in this world.His staff especially receptionist,and ofcourse nurses, the most humble human beings,that I ever had in my life. AND GOD KNOW I HAVE HAD LOT OF HEALTH PROBLEMS AND I HAVE SEEN LOT OF MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS. THANKS TO MY FRIENDS AT DR.SYEDS OFFICE. Higley recommended!!!

Had issues with the Dr. Syed not listening to my symptoms or myself in general. Prescribed a dosage that was twice the amount I previously took for my preventive medication which caused side effects. Side effects were clearly stated on the medication (my body started to seize, heart palpitations, tightness in chest, etc.). This caused me to be in and out of the ER multiple times within a year even though I had no prior health issues. I had brought up the possibility that it was the medication but was told that it could't have been the medication, that it was most likely panic attacks, and to keep taking the medication (The medication was the only thing that had changed in my lifestyle). He came up with no solutions so I had to systematically remove everything from my diet (dairy, supplements, etc.) until I finally stopped taking the pill which stopped all the symptoms. One day I hope he reads this and understands that he put me through over a year of pain because he wasn't listening.

I’ve been going to Dr Syed for almost 7 years now. I literally trust my life to him! His staff is amazing as well. Jill is one of the most amazing nurses I’ve ever had. As long as Dr Syed stays in this area and practices medicine I will never go to another doctor. He’s completely turned my life around and made me a better healthier person. I have brought my own parents in as patients of his as well. I very highly recommend him to everyone I’ve been going to Dr Syed for almost 7 years now. I literally trust my life to him! He is one of the best doctor I have ever seen. He keeps his posture and emotion even with extremely difficult pts.

He is the best doctor I’ve had in my life. He’s very nice, always listens to what is going on. He helped me through drug addiction and aniexty. One of the best doctors. Also knows what he’s talking about.

Dr. Syed is the best doctor I have scene in the 25 years. He is very intelligent and caring when it comes to his patient's. I wouldn't trust my care with any other doctor

Dr syed is a great doctor. Hees tough but fair he knows all the games people play and still gives you the benefit of the doubt. I both respect him and like him. The whole office is full of good staff. Just dont try to get over on him, be honest and he will take very good care of you

Dr.syed has done above and beyond to help me. He gives me confidence and self respect when I needed most.

Dr Syed was my sisters doctor and with her at st Lukes Hospital. He became very unprofessional and mistreated my sister once she wanted to transfer to a different hospital. He said no so quick. I knew right then her rights were violated. After he was reprimanded he came to her room and tried to coach her to say she doesnt really need to be transferred. Soon as she confirmed she still wanted to Albany Medical Center only then he said he wasnt able to get a physician to accept her and that I need to do that. I was appalled. That was his job to make that attempt. Mind you he still hadnt diagnosed her even though shes in pcu. And also shes in her 2nd day. On day 3 hospitals usually get more money as long as you keep the bed warm and occupied 3 days straight. He became rude, arrogant and misogynist. He stated he worked at Albany med for 15 yrs. In which that was suppose to be a statement to add to make sure we knew he had better connections to block our transfer. I have NEVER been treated like horrible crap like this before. I am a terminal cancer patient, brain, blood and bone marrow. Also, i have metal in my spine and 12 herniated disks I will never go back. I am now suffering in excruciating pain and not a surgical candidate anymore. I now have to set up Hospice care. I have had multiple heart attacks from the pain and calcified arteries. Just wanted to say thanks for making me suffer. AND NO I WILL NOT REFER FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO HIM!

Excellent compassionate care

He is one of the most compassionate doctor i ever come across. Due to my illnes, i lost my insurance, he continued to see me free of cost and provided medication samples free.
