I have seen Dr. Ghafouri once and so far, and I am not very impressed with the office staff communication and lack of ease to make appointments, nor the "rushed" feeling with Dr. Ghafouri not seeming to listen or appear engaged to me the patient. I also requested my results be sent to both myself and my PCP and nothing was ever received. The wait time for appointments is also crazy, and I did not appreciate being disputed when I waited for a telemedicine appointment's prompt which was not received until well after the call. This office has to be the most poorly run office that I have ever visited. I was constantly on hold and my providers were always late or never showed up to appointments. I was always placed and left on hold when I called, and finally just decided to find another provider. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My provider was Dr. Ghafouri, and I only saw him once. All of the other times, I was left under his assistant's care who was negligent in her appointments with me. The receptionist staff is rude, unaccommodating, and uncaring. I strongly suggest that you find a better provider if you care about your health. Dr. Ghafouri is a excellent doctor and has taken care of me for almost 10 year now. He doesn’t mind going the extra mile to help you out. The staff does a great job of giving my injections and helping with all my care, including spending a long long long time fighting the insurance companies to help get the medications I need to make my life a lot better. I've been a patient of Doctor Ghafouri for about 11 years now. I was referred to him years ago due to the sudden onset of severe rheumatoid arthritis. Since then I've seen him every three months and I've seen his infusion nurses every 7-8 weeks. I've always found the staff to be friendly, upbeat, and professional. The office does a good job of reminding me of upcoming appointments. Doctor Ghafouri has always seemed determined to provide treatment of my RA to allow me to live a normal life, and for that I am highly appreciative. Dr. Ghafouri has been my saving grace. After seeing many doctors over the years with chronic pain I finally found a Dr who cares and goes the extra mile to research and bring me relief and finally diagnose me. Dr. G has been caring for me now for almost 15+ years and I wouldn’t stay with this practice if I didn’t believe I was getting the care I deserve. Big bonus: He opened up an infusion suite which is state of the art and very convenient for us. You don’t feel like a number but rather very much cared about. The other Dr.’s in the practice are all very good as well. And I can’t say enough about the infusion nurses and how wonderful they take care of us. The back office staff has been incredible as well. I have been a patient of Dr. Ghafouri's for almost 16 years now. Dr. Ghafouri is an excellent doctor who listens to his patients, pays great attention to detail and works diligently to find a diagnosis and solution. Years ago, when I was first diagnosed, I attribute Dr. Ghafouri for saving my life. At the time, I was a young, scared 22 year old who was incredibly sick and confused about what was going on and I didn't want to believe how sick I really was. Dr. Ghafouri was persistent and told me things about my health that was very hard to hear, but his dedication to me as his patient helped get me on the right track to feeling better. I have continued to see him throughout the years. He has helped calm my anxiety through flare ups, two high risk pregnancies and a multitude of other things. I am SO thankful to have him as my doctor. In regards to his office staff, I have always been approached with kindness. They have been patient with me rescheduling appointments and also forwarding questions I might have for Dr. Ghafouri. They are super organized and efficient with the check in/check out process. Yes, there can be a wait in his office, but I have yet to visit a highly regarded Specialist's office that does not have a wait. He also has office staff that have been employed at his practice for years, which says alot due to high turnover that can happen in medical offices. One of the main office staff, Nicole, who also handles billing, has been in the office for 16 years! She is just as amazing and awesome as Dr. Ghafouri. Overall, I love Dr. Ghafouri and his practice. I have recommended Dr. Ghafouri numerous times to friends and colleagues who are looking for a Rheumatologist. I have been his patient for more than 5 years now. Dr. Ghafouri is knowledgeable, skilled, and caring for his patients. The staff are super nice, and willing to help. I am getting monthly infusions in his office and the nurses in this center work very hard, and have a good sense of humor. Dr Ghafouri's medical assistant has also been effective by responding to all my requests and messages in time. I highly recommend Dr. Ghafouri and his team. Poorly run office that rarely answers the phone so their voice mail stays full. My prescription still hasn't made it to the pharmacy 24 hours later. Dr. Ghafouri does not listen to the patient and has zero personality. If only there were more options in Manassas...

Dr Ghoufari diagnosed my Reynauds and also my parathyroid issue. No other dr identified either of these issues. I am very thankful for him for his diagnosis and follow up care. I have been a patient for 10+ years.

Newly diagnosed just before the pandemic with unspecified autoimmune disease, RA, Ankylosing Spondylosis. I was seeking and looking forward to finally speaking with a Dr. who could provide some explanation of what I was dealing with. I realize and am sympathetic to the confusion the healthcare scene has had to deal with due to COVID. However, after traveling over an hour for several mis-scheduled appointments (due to my file being confused in the office with another patient) and failed tele visits due to this confusion- I was finally able to schedule a face to face office visit with Dr. Ghafouri. Disappointingly, he spoke to me as if I was another patient referring to our "past visits" and previous conversations although we had never met?! Thus confirming to me that I was still being confused with another patient. I found Ghafouri to be demeaning, condescending, belittling and rather rude. This place is hands down the worst office I think I have ever stepped foot in. I drove two hours to come see the doctors and their front office is the rudest ... I never made it pass them to see the doctor. No customer service skills at all what so ever! I have been going here for 2 years. Dr. Pinto is AWESOME, however the staff are rude and unfriendly. They do not return calls and never answer the phone. Everything done is the patient's fault and is absolutely horrible. Thank goodness my insurance has changed.

After 2 appointments and $1k in tests and dr fees, we can't get anyone to return our calls about a prescription that was not called in. Husband is in pain. Have called 5 times in 3 weeks and left messages. Last phone call was left on hold for over 30 minutes. One test cost us $792 and the dr never got the results, but was able to diagnose and prescribe, so perhaps that was an unnecessary test/expense. Terrible experience. He didn’t seem at all interested in my mom’s symptoms. We finally gave up on him and took her to a rheumatologist in Georgetown hospital. The new doctor asked for previous blood reports and I called Ghafouri’s office three times. Each time they said they would fax but never did. If I could not provide any stars, I would. During my visits with Dr. Ghafouri, he rushed his communication. I do know that I am not his only patient. I recommended different tests and labs, and either he didn't want to proceed and when relaying messages to his staff with the same recommendations - I am not sure if he did or did not received my messages. He also questioned a medical procedure I had and laughed. I will assume because after 2 different physicians recommended the surgery, he may have found out absurd. I also requested medical history to be shared with other providers I have, over 3 months ago, and each of my providers explained that they have not received my records at this time - when I call on a monthly basis. When I call Ghafouri's front desk, the females either provide misleading information or attempt to help however I end up requesting the same information from either someone else or follow a different instruction - other than what the initial person provided me. On a different call in this office, 1 female at the front desk stated that she had to transfer my call to the doctor's MA. No reason of "at the front desk we do not complete the type of request you are calling about" nor "yes, you definitely have to speak to the MA regarding your request". So far my interaction with Dr. Pinto has been great but when I went to Quest to get bloodwork done they refused to take blood from any patients with bloodwork orders from this practice, which I found to be very odd. The tech told me the doctor here must have done something very bad to get on the banned practice list. My insurance requires me to use Quest for bloodwork otherwise I have to pay so I was unhappy to say the least. I still want to give Dr Pinto a chance but I am a little leery now after that experience. I would give this Facility 5 stars if it wasn't for the front Office staff and medical liaisons, unlike Dr. Pinto and the rest of Dr's, the staff have little to no empathy and are not willing to help you regarding scheduling matters, returning phone calls, or anything. It seems they are bothered by your questions and concerns (it's their job to care) and their immediate responses (without even looking at the computer) is NO. Dr. Pinto on the other hand is very caring, empathetic and knows her stuff and she is the main reason for me not having switched to a different center, but that may change if office staff doesn't improve. I've been a patient of Dr. Ghafouri for several years now. He gets the job done but is indeed a very straight-forward no-nonsense type of doctor. He does what he needs to do and gets you in and out quickly. What bugs me is that I keep having to go in to the office just for him to read me my test results that are the same every single time - I've been stable for years. I've been coming here since 2009. I've had psoriatic arthritis since I was a teenager, and have had a lot of struggles with it through the years. When I first started coming here, I saw Dr Ghafouri, then Bavika, and eventually Audrey Rubano. I can't speak highly enough of all of them. They've helped me in my worst of times and have helped me avoid steroids and narcotics which is what my previous rheumatologist recommended for me. The steroids I'd been on previously had wreaked havoc on my body from weight gain to avascular necrosis. I'm eternally grateful to the team here for helping me get back on track so I could start living life again. I've been coming here since 2009. I saw this bum twice for debilitating joint pain. He did the usual round of superficial blood work and body presses in record time, then wrote me off like I was some hysterical hypochondriac because I was concerned about a possible autoimmune disorder. It has since been revealed by a more competent physician that I do indeed have a life-threatening AI disease. Had Dr. Ghafouri a shred of decency and integrity, I could have been treated much sooner. Horrible!!! horrible!!! place don't waste your time or money. The staff is unprofessional along with Dr. Pinto who refused to see me for my appointment today because she didn't want to hear the truth about how her staff are liars and unprofessional. Was waiting for my FMLA paperwork for three months no phone calls about it at all even took the time out to drive there to see what was going on with it. Dr. Pinto told me she told Louis that i needed another appointment before doing the FMLA paperwork. Louis never called me about that conversation that she had with Dr. Pinto but she's the office manager. The only person that helped me out today was the assistant manager there i think her name wasTanya is a really nice person and professional as well. Facility is nice, Female Doctors are great. Very informative. Front Desk ladies and nurses are very dismissive and have an huge attitude. Not pleasant. Office does not return phone calls and the nurses and the front desk talk over you and interrupt. I don’t mind Dr Ghafouri. He doesn’t have a warm bed side manner, but he was the one who finally diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. His staff, however are difficult to deal with, don’t respond to phone calls or faxes from the pharmacy for prescription refills, which is my biggest gripe of the whole practice. I keep going there because my primary care physician thinks it would be detrimental at this point to change doctors because I’d have to start at square 1. Just made a appointment earlier today, the wait is really long but the girl who answered got me in to see a nurse practitioner (even though I wanted to see a doctor to make my wait less.) She explained that they are qualified in rheumatology also, I guess we'll see. She was nice about telling what I should expect and what to bring so looking forward to my appt. I give 3/5 for now. I have been with Dr. Ghafouri for over ten years. I remember when his office was a hole in the wall and now it has grown. While I do see Bavika Amen now, I like the service that I get. My only concern now is that I left a message on the voicemail about missing an appointment and I was charged, but still waiting to hear from billing.

I just recently started coming to see Dr. Pinto for various auto immune issues that I have been dealing with and I can honestly say I have never met a physician that was so attentive and detailed and really cared about my concerns! She made me feel at ease each visit. The office overall is nice, the waiting room is clean and it's nice they have an abundance of magazines to read while you wait. It's kinda hard to get through to the office though but as I have observed it's a busy place. The staff is really friendly which is always a plus because sometimes I come in not doing too good but the girls at the front always greet me with a smile even when I don't want to. I am a patient of doctor Ghafouri for 15 plus years, I have never had this experience. One bad apple does not drive me away from his care and patient etiquette he has for me. He truly cares, I am proud to be his patient. His office staff is wonderful. I've seen and been through a lot of changes with his practice, he is doing very well and hopefully he can mentor less experienced doctors.

Dr. Ghafouri is always in a hurry to leave. Does not take time in answering questions in much detail. Is somewhat impatient and does not make you feel relaxed you feel like you are in race to get all your questions asked and hope he will answer each question as if they are important before he sprints out the door. Don’t get me wrong he is very nice just not much of a bedside manner. RA is a serious disease so you would think he would take time to answer each patients concerns (questions).

I like Dr. Mohsen Ghafouri because he takes the time to listen to my complaints and he checks out what ever I bring to his attention. He also makes sure that he goes over my Lab works with me so that I understand them. He also changes my Medication with me if they are to correct my problems. The nurses that I deal with for my Psoriasis treatment have also been very nice to me. The other staff members that I deal with have also been very nice. My Appts. are always pre-scheduled.

I have severe arthritis and waited 3 months for an appointment with Dr. Vasa, to try to diagnose why my body was degenerating so badly. Was it genetic or environmental or some identifiable factor? When I finally saw her, she claimed she could not think of any tests to do that I had not already had done, and suggested I go to a bigger medical center for a consult. My wait was for naught. She did order a few tests that I had already been tested for in the past. That was the last I heard of them. I called over a week later, and after three attempts, finally got my test results (negative). I wholeheartedly agree with the previous review. I was a patient of Dr. Eshbaugh for a year and a half, and she was the best. She was thorough, caring, open minded, and up to date on the newer things happening in rheumatology. I just had my first appointment with Dr. Stewart, and have requested an appointment with another practitioner in the office. I am also searching for another practice. Dr. Stewart had not reviewed my xrays or MRI prior to my arrival, barely touched my body, was and was very single minded in her approach. I left the office in tears. I have been with Dr. Gafouri's over a year and there's constantly an issue. His nurse practitioner Dr. Bavikah is who I see. The latest catastrophe deals with the staff who hasn't returned phone calls, an un qualified billing person name Nicole who not only doesn't return calls but has flat out canceled my appointments with no notification. When I began to accrue a bill I was never notified until after my balance reached over $1,000. Mind you I had insurance at this time. Also, I've tried setting up payment plans with no return phone calls and Nicole cancelling my appointments. Might I add I've been diagnosed with aggressive RA. So being without medication is the equivalent to feeling like im dying. After going to the ER then being told I can't be seen by bavikah until till July13th I get a call saying "Ok Ms. Watts bavikah will see you Monday but after that she will no longer see you". Really...this is what you call flat out unprofessional. And when I ask why Im told she will explain later. THE WORST OFFICE, STAFF ETC. EVER. I have been with Dr. Gafouri's over a year and there's constantly an issue. His nurse practitioner Dr. Bavikah is who I see. Very positive experience with staff. checking-in was easy and interaction with Dr. Pinto was very good. She is knowledgeable, seemed very interested on my health and took time to examine me and to explain the plan. looking forward to my following visits.

Dr. Ghafouri spent quite a bit of time with me. He went over my chart in detail, explained his suspicions, ordered blood work, explained the blood work he was ordering and why. He identified in detail what he wanted me to do in the next four weeks and what our follow up would entail. His demeanor was calm, poised, and kind. I liked him and am thankful I was referred to him.

Dr. Ghafouri always addresses my issues and answers all my questions. His staff is exemplary! Pleasant, professional and not just service oriented but patient focused!

The front office staff are unprofessional, on more than one occasion I have witnessed them demean patients. Dr. Ghafouri, while perhaps knowledgeable will spend about 10 min with you. Don't expect him to have a handle on your "systems", you're a number, not a patient. If you need anything from their office - a signature, a form signed, a copy of your records, etc. Dictated records are not complete either. Expect that it will be a PROBLEM. Basically, don't go here! Saw Dr. Ghafouri for the first time today. Spent less than 5 minutes with me. Did not have my history or abnormal labs with him. Did not address abnormal laboratory results. Will not be going back. Very poor bedside manner!

I have been going to Dr. Ghafouri office in Manassas VA. for several years. All of the staff are competent and caring. I would recommend his PA to any of my friends.

Just awful, don't go there unless you enjoy NOT being cared for. They don't bother returning phone calls, they don't call back your pharmacy either. My mother has waited all day today and yesterday and still no call back - she just had surgery and they don't care at all. I have been Dr. Ghafouri's patient for 5 years. I think that my ability to manage my lupus as comfortably as I have is because of Dr. Ghafouri's treatment and advice. When I have had to choose a new medical insurance plan, my primary concern was to make sure that Dr. Ghafouri was on the list of approved providers. I have referred several of my family and friends to him and they are much more satisfied with their care than their previous doctors. I think there can be improvements made in how the office is run. It might take several phone calls to accomplish what should take one phone call. It isn't the worst office have seen; it isn't the best. On your first visit, Dr. Ghafouri does not come off as warm and fuzzy. He is a quiet methodical doctor. His humor may be a little dry, his concern for his patient is very real. If I want warm and fuzzy, I will buy an Elmo doll. If I want a some one who I can work with as WE manage my chronic condition, I will choose Dr. Ghafouri . I will not return to this office- they do not return phone calls, they are rude and unprofessional. The doctor could care less, he is very cold and uncaring. If you need any medication issues resolved, don't plan on them calling your pharmacist back either. I am appalled by their lack of care!

This place apparently doesn't welcome new patients. I talked to the receptionist and she said that they were booked for the entire month and that I had to go to the emergency room. I don't think my pain is severe enough that I have to go to the ER. Why not an Urgent Care facility? She also couldn't recommend another doctor that I could see. I would not recommend this practice to anyone! They have the absolute worst office staff I have ever encountered in a physician's office. They do not take the required steps to fill prescriptions, do not return patient phone calls and do not care that the patient is in pain without medicine. The office manager is even worse to deal with then the rest of the staff. If you want a physician office to be on your side and to care about your well-being, then do not go here!!! I visited Dr. Ghafouri because I had symptoms of RA. He ran labs, diagnosed me, and put me on a medicine regimen. I had approximately 4 appointments with Dr. Ghafouri, and although I have confidence in his knowledge and skills, his bedside manner and social skills are horrible. I want a physician I can have a conversation with and someone who can at least pretend to have an interest in me. Each time I visited him, I felt so diminished and swore I'd never go back. He's not interested in getting to know you or listening to you. Instead, he comes in, shakes your hand, grabs his clip board, sits down, and simply takes notes as he asks you the standard questions. He rarely even looks at you during this process. Sometimes, he was just downright rude. During one visit, he gave me a handout about a medication and told me to go home and read it before my next appointment because he was thinking of putting me on that med. The next visit he decided to put me on another med and asked it I read the information he had given me. I told him he hadn't given me any information on that particular med, but he didn't believe me and admonished me as if I couldn't follow instructions. He acts as though he's doing you a favor for seeing you. I beg to differ. Doctors are a dime a dozen, and if you don't treat me with respect and try to get to know me and my ailment, then I'll take my business somewhere else. I saw Dr. Eshbaugh for about a year, who was thorough and helpful, but she is no longer with the practice. The last time I was here, I had to wait about two (2) hours past my appointment time for Dr. Eshbaugh's replacement to see me. The replacement, Dr. Stewart, was not good at explaining what was wrong with my hands or answering questions. They also don't keep track of test results well - I would have blood work done weeks before my appointment and they would not even have a copy ready in my file when my appointment came up. Today, I was 20 minutes late because of a car wreck in the fog that stopped traffic, but they refused to see me and told me I had to reschedule. It is not equitable that they have no problem wasting two hours of my time, but I am punished for being twenty minutes late. I am transferring to a different rheumatologist. I highly recommend Dr. Ghafouri. He goes over the top to help me and address all of my concerns. He makes time to be available and even call me after hours and on the weekend if needed.
