I had macular hole repair on one eye two years ago and the same on the other eye 5 weeks ago. Both experiences were great! Dr Nanda is very skilled and very personable. The outcome for each eye was/is very good. I couldn't be more pleased!

He did the Retinal Detachment surgery for me and has done the wonderful job Highly appreciated it

The staff are friendly enough, but Mohit Nanda is rushed, domineering, quick to treatment without first requesting consent from patient, and quick to blame patient for conditions. Does not send visit notes to patient's other doctors (confirmed by this patient's other doctors).

This Doctor told my mom she could wait a few days to get her eye fixed. Thank God we didn't because when my mom went to the ER and got immediate surgery the doctor said thank God she did or she could have went blind I her eye.

The staff was friendly, but the doctor was condescending and lacking in empathy. He insinuated that I wasn’t trying hard enough to comply with his instructions during a very uncomfortable “dynamic” examination, even though I was doing exactly as he said. He treated me like a child, then scolded, then dismissed me outright, saying I should return in a month for another exam. I will not be returning to see him. I’d rate them less if possible! They refused to see my son today because it was too late in the day. His retina had detached. Dr. Nanda repaired a detached retina for him 8 years ago. They knew he had lost much of the vision in the left eye already and now the right was at risk. The technician actually told me to call IVA if I thought they could do better. We did. Dr.Shilkrodt took him immediately and preformed a vitrectomy and scleral buckling within a couple hours. I’d rate them less if possible! Overall, good experience. Room for improvement: M. Nanda tends to engage in patient-blaming, assuming that a condition's improvement is under the complete control of the patient, apparently ignoring genetic and other issues that may get in the way.

Excellent TEAM starting with front desk onto Dr.Nanda. Compare to a beautiful symphony orchesta where everyone has a role to play and results in magnificent performance. Of course the patients are front row .Information was provided with every procedure. The best care included encouragement and Hope.

Dr Meyer and his staff extremely profession and knowledgeable. My father went blind suddenly and Dr Meyer saw him the same day and he was in surgery that same week. Doing great now and we are so thankful. Would go higher than 5 stars if I could

My mom has been a patient for years. Dr. Nanda is very knowledgeable, does research, and is patient driven not insurance driven. The only time our appts are delayed is when they have emergencies, which isn't often. The staff is great. His technicians help me and give me information if I need it on a phone call - I don't get voicemail, which is rare. He knows more about retinitis pigmentosa than anyone. Amazing doctor!!! Left with worse vision. Experienced poor communications and seeming predisposition to most complex and expensive major surgery option.

Staff and doctors very efficient, professional, and friendly, will recommend this clinic and will continue to go for any eye problems.

I'm so glad I found Virginia Retina Consultants. The staff is very professional and polite. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and patient care is of the utmost importance. Dr. Nanda takes the worry out of my visits. His attitude and charisma really make for a pleasant doctors visit !!

If I could give negative stars, I would. Only come here if you have HOURS to wait.

Dr. Nanda gave an expert consultation for a detached retina. Coordinated an emergency surgery and performed said surgery with great results. He was thorough, kind, and very accommodating. Highly recommended.

My dad was refereed here by another eye doctor. Staff is not only super friendly, but very efficient. I was really impressed at how well they kept things moving to where you could tell there was a lot going on, but not to the point you felt rushed at all. Dad went in for a consult, and got a consult, evaluation, pictures, laser treatment on one eye, injection on the other. Really stellar team at the office and in particular with Dr. Meyers team. I would definitely recommend them if you need work done. My dad was refereed here by another eye doctor. Staff is not only super friendly, but very efficient.
