If I could do 0 stars I would. We came in with our newborn due to constant projectile vomiting. Dr. looked at our child for less than 20 seconds. Dr. never even checked my child’s weight after he’d been vomiting a week (and I asked him multiple times to check his weight and he said no he thought he looked healthy) and sent us home with a prescription for an anti acid. Fast forward a few days and vomiting is much worse, my son is not doing well so I call pediatrician and took him for a weight check. He is only 9 pounds and had lost a pound and a half. Immediately rushed us to Univerisity of Iowa’s Children Hospital for surgery. His stomach was unable to pass any liquid through due to pyloric stenosis. He had lost another pound by that evening. If dr. Would have just checked his weight like I asked and maybe ACTUALLY RAN A TEST OR TWO, my child would have been saved days of pain and hurt and wouldn’t have continued to lose so much weight. Negligent. I called to talk to staff after this happened all they said was okay and to call back if we want to come back. Terrible. Not even a sorry you had to go through that or anything. Could not say enough bad things about this office. Oh, forgot to mention the dr. took a call on his cellphone in the middle of our visit about his cars extended warranty, we could hear the whole thing. If I could do 0 stars I would. I went to Dr. Yaseen a while back and I had a terrible experience. Here are just a few things that happened. The day before my colonoscopy they had cancelled it and I had already started my prep so I had to pay for another one. My appointment then was moved out by a month. When the time finally came for my operation he was late for the procedure and also when I woke up he already left and did not explain anything to me! When I got the follow up he told me it was nothing ( I was in a lot of pain and had blood in my stool). I was scarred and I was terrified to go to a different doctor because I was afraid that maybe it was all in my head. Come to find that I did have UC! He didn't listen to any of my concerns/problems and just was overall a horrible experience!

Ruining children’s lives everyday. I had to have surgery for being prescribed last resort medication for 5 years. When there was tons of other options that were never tried. HIGHLY do not recommend. Unless you wanna spend tons of money on medication that won’t work.

Excellent. He was wonderful to my handicapped daughter. Very wonderful. Kind and courteous.

We had an amazing experience with Dr. Yaseen! He was great with my daughter and very thorough to rule anything else out. He was always polite and caring toward us. He was recommended by our local doctor and we drove an hour to go see him for our appointments. I am forever grateful!

Never finished talking to us. Left the room to take a call saying he'd be right back then we heard him next door seeing another patient and 20 minutes later staff realize we're still in the room when they go to put someone else in there. Then a nurse comes in & says she was scheduling our dtrs scope but we had only touched on possibly doing that w the dr_never confirmed we were for sure doing it. He obviously forgot us & staff had to cover for him. We cancelled the scope & luckily didn't end up needing the procedure after all but if she did we wouldn't have felt comfortable having him do it, would have requested a different doctor there. I do NOT recommend Dr. Yaseen. How bedside manner was horrible. Very ride, doesn't listen, interrupts. Very old fashioned and not knowledgeable. Before even running any tests he said my son as "colic", there is no such thing, there is always root causes of the problem which dr. Yaseen has no interest in investigating. With pushing from me, there was some testing done, and, surprise he actually wasnt ok and "colic" wasn't the issue. He suggests thickening feeds for reflux with cereals which is outdated horrible advice, it makes aspirating and refluxing and choking on thickened reflux a serious health risk. Most babies don't tolerate grains because they lack the digestive enzymes for it prior to 1 year, especially GERD babies. He says my son struggling to pass loose stools us him learning how to go still, even though there are infants 8 months, 10 months, even toddler years with the same issue that is actually due to reflux and food intolerances causing DGE. He says color and consistency of stools don't matter as long as there isn't blood, which definitely isn't true. The color and consistency indicates if there is inflammation, reactions with food or environmental intolerances or allergies, etc. He diagnosed my son with lactose intolerance which is actually very very rare and highly not likely a my son likely would have been FTT much sooner if that were the case and he doesn't believe babies can react to what mom eats through breastmilk which is definitely not true, they can react to anything mom eats, it's just not common. He said all the amino formulas were the same and they are not, the ingredients are different. He wouldn't order specifically requested tests. Overall, I did not find him very helpful and any progress made was through my own pushing. I've found another GI dr, unfortunately from Chicago, but, worth it to talk to a dr that actually has experience with food intolerances and GI health. I do NOT recommend Dr. Yaseen. I asked my sons pediatrician for just shy of year what was going on with my sons stomach. After he ran some tests and didn't know. Je finally referred us to dr yaseen. He figured it out within a month and finally my son can eat again without being in pain

I do NOT recommend Dr. Yaseen. How bedside manner was horrible. Very ride, doesn't listen, interrupts. Very old fashioned and not knowledgeable. His medical advice was practically non existent and he isn't very knowledgeable on GI health and food intolerances.

My son began with Dr. Yaseen 8 years ago when he needed a feeding tube placed. He is friendly and compassionate. He takes the time to explain procedures before and after with detail. His office is exceptional we check in and are in to see doctor with in minutes. Once nursing completes the assessment Dr. Yaseen is in right away. His team of nurses are professional, friendly and very prompt on addressing matters with doctor as he too is very prompt with a response.

Terrible doctor who doesn't understand patients needs and gives outdated medical advice. I will never bring my child to him ever again. If I could give a 0 star rating, I would.

Dr. Yaseen seemed pleasant came in to room talked with my wife and I but did no physical assessment of my child. He came in the following day and looked at my sons eye which was only odd because he was in the hospital for GI bleeding. He did no other physical assessment. He however charted in my kids chart that he did a very detailed assessment and based his treatment on that lie. He is not trustworthy and will lie as long as he gets paid

Last month our 11-year old son wrote Dr. Yassin a note that read, "Thank you for making me healthy. Because of you I can play sports that I love, without limits. You are the best doctor." Dr. Yassin is the only person who didn't send us away when our son was at his sickest (because the hospitals did). He has cared for our son since he was 7 and it's because of him that our son's Crohn's is in remission. There's no better recommendation than that of a kid who is in his office regularly!

He doesn't seem to read the file before he comes into the room. He is extremely hard to understand. His instructions one week don't match his instructions the following week. He seemed to question her responses to his questions if he allowed her or I to answer. He spent more time at his computer than actually with her and yet was suggesting tests she already did and didn't know that he had recommended surgery for her or what kind. Very frustrated with him at every appointment(numerous appt.)

I took my son to see Dr. Yaseen, who ran many tests to find out why he was in such chronic pain. After an endoscopy, 2 colonoscopies, a barium follow-through, and a pill camera, my son was diagnosed with IBS and excessive acid production. My son tried the medications and altering his diet, but no relief. this was 4 years ago and after a trip to the Mayo clinic this past month, my son is NOW better. He is lactose intolerant. Dr Yaseen never ran a simple enzyme test that would have eliminated all the drugs and pain. I will never go there again. I took my son to see Dr. Yaseen, who ran many tests to find out why he was in such chronic pain. Dr. Yaseen is a very fine and accurate Dr. He is very responsive and careful to give good diagnosis. He and his staff are very friendly. I hope to continue to use him in the future.
