Reviews for Mohamed Ahmed Khalil
Dr. Khalil is a great neurologist! He diagnosed the problem on my first visit and initiated treatment immediately. Within one week I began to see improvements. I give him the highest recommendations.
Dr. Khalil is a fabulous neurologist! He diagnosed my problem, and initiated treatment the same day. I began to experience improvement in my symptoms within one week. My symptoms continue to improve. I highly recommend Dr. Khalil.
Best Neurologist in Houston, friendly team and clean office
Dr Khalil has a great bedside manner. He takes time to listen, and treat appropriately. His nurse Tina is also commendable! She listens, she is friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and probably the best one for helping patients! Aside from the Dr himself. Dr Khalil treats, my migraines AND my NUEROPATHY! I didn't even know this was treatable!
Appt was at 230, asked to come in at 2 to complete paperwork. Almost 1.5 hrs AFTER my appt was scheduled. I asked receptionist regarding wait time, she just says they are "running behind" i asked if they usually run behind and she replied yes. I was finally called back to a room. We will see how this goes. I will be looking for another neurologist.
Their office told me how much the testing I needed would could cost. It was expensive but I agreed. I found out several months after paying for and having the tests done that the cost was actually double what they told me it would cost... Like y'all had my insurance this whole time... Why are under quoting costs?? Khalil was rude and would not listen to me explain my symtoms. He just immediately told me I had double vision (I have never had double vision and told him so) and refused to talk to me until I had a bunch of testing done. But would not explain why I needed all these tests. You know things are bad when once he leaves the room, the nurse with him sits down and says something to the effect of "he really didn't understand what you saying. Did you mean your problem is something like this and then restates what I had been describing as my actual symtoms".

Wonderful doctor and great office staff!
Dr,Khalil one of the most talented doctors that I ever met,so nice and kind person and his diagnosis talent is the best.
He really cares! He listened to me, addressed my concerns, and had alot of testing done, he has helped me so much! He is genuinely a very nice man. He does not make you rush or feel crazy. He is amazing. I love him. The staff is always very polite and they got it together with insurance ect. Always a plus! Dr.K is giving me my life back. 5 GOLD STARS! I LOVE HIM. ❤️
We can not even begin to thank the Doctor. He has been mainly my husband’ s physician. My husband has neuropathy, diabetes, NPH , dementia and now Alzheimer. He started him on an infusion for his neuropathy. The difference is unbelievable. It helped his walking, balance and improved strength so much in his hands. Prior to this he was almost unable to walk. With this treatment he didn’t need his walker nor me pushing his wheel chair. The Doctor has treated him for other than infusion and it has been all around improvement. I was having health issues and he tested several areas for me. He discovered that my left carotid artery was 80% blocked. I had surgery ASAP and the doctors were amazed that Dr. Khalil discovered this issue. I was told this usually discovered after a stroke. I recently received notice from insurance that this doctor is no longer in network. I am absolutely heartbroken and unable to find another neurologist that prescribes infusion. We definitely recommend him. Thank you, Doctor. We can not even begin to thank the Doctor. He has been mainly my husband’ s physician. His front office double and triple books his appointments causing you to wait an average of an hour. Then thirty minutes to fourty five minutes in treatment room. Two hours!!! After all that then being seen by a nurse practitioner not the doctor. He needs to get this under control!
PA’s were marvelous extending concern and clear explanations. Dr. Khalil offered clear advice and clarified future treatment.
On top of everything ! His nurse is awesome! Gives injections, smoothly and you feel at ease. Recommend making a appointment. Thx Dr.M.Khalil On top of everything ! His nurse is awesome! Gives injections, smoothly and you feel at ease. … More
Extremely unprofessional and rude “doctor”
Don’t waste your time and energy with this rude doctor.
The staff is great. But Dr. Khalil is clueless. Do yourself a favorite and don’t waste your time. The fact that he’s still in practice tells you a lot about the decline of the US medical system.
Our experience with the neurologist office has been unfortunate and terrible. Since August 2021 we started seeing Dr. Kahlil as he was referred to us by my mom’s primary doctor to see her. First, they were never answering the phone to schedule appointments even though we were directed by the receptionists to do so. Whenever the results of any test or study were ready, they never called and we had to call every time to ask if they were ready. Second, every time we went to the office the Dr was never attentive. He only came into the room, talked with the practitioner, asked how my mom’s pain was from 1-10 and that was it, he never gave details or explanations about my mom’s situation. He ordered MRI, nerve’s study, encephalogram, infusions to relieve the pain which they didn’t help, and lastly a lumbar puncture. For the lumbar puncture, they didn’t labeled the tubes correctly and the samples were damaged so the results came back “inconclusive” because the lab was not able to examine them appropriately. After telling us that, without any further explanation, he wanted to order 3 more MRIs, one with contrast. Also, he wanted more infusions that we already told them that wasn’t doing anything to alleviate the pain. We decided to get a second opinion and go to a different neurologist. We were seeing Dr. Kahlil for almost 8 months and no diagnosis whatsoever was made neither a possible diagnosis. His communication with his patients is almost nule. He just wanted to keep ordering MRIs, injections, and stuff without explaining reason why or what he thought it could be. Wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone specially because of the lack of attention from the doctor to his patients. Our experience with the neurologist office has been unfortunate and terrible. This is my first time writing a review about a doctor. It bothers me to write negatively specially about a fellow practitioner (I’m a pathologist). But I find it necessary, since it’s a critical issue. The staff and the whole practice is amazing. The problem is with “doctor” Khalil!!! There must be something going on and this needs attention! Over the top rude and unprofessional. As soon as he saw my father who clearly has memory/neurological issues, he was hesitant to make him his patient and not 2 minutes passed and he started to invent excuses to cancel the appointment. Never witnessed this before. His certificate and practice says he treats dementia and my father is a dementia patient. Why is the referral. I hate to say it, but this doctor is clueless. And it’s super weird for this practice to have such a doctor. He left the room while I was asking a question politely and closed the door and even the staff was puzzled by his behavior and they kept apologizing. It was funny at the moment. But when I thought about it. His behavior was out of this world unprofessional. This is my first time writing a review about a doctor. Dr Khalil releaved my pain in my hands and fingers in a matter of weeks without surgery ???? resulting from carpal tunnel. He also releaved my aches and shooting pains in my feet and legs. Finally I can sleep at night. I WOULD TRUELY RECOMMEND this Doctor if you are suffering from any of the above pain
Dr. Khalil, what can I say ???? every time I see him he is so friendly with a warm welcoming smile on his face! He is the only doctor I saw after going years seeing many many doctors just putting me in different meds and sending me on my way , the first day I saw dr.Khalil he saw me and had a plan to I would say save my life by the Grace of God and medical science lol I’m so thankful to have found him and the work and care he puts into his patients! I am not a young person a d in my life, I have seen many Doctors for many things. NEVER have I ever felt so listened to, and cared for. He started with an introduction, listening to me, then an examination, and a list of things to start a comprehensive treatment plan for me. I felt hope, which is something I have not felt in a very long time. Thank you Dr Khlil! And just so you know, all of your staff treated me with as much respect and concern as you did! I have been seeing Dr. Khalil for over a year for management of chronic daily headaches that I have developed about 2 years ago. Dr. Khalil is a caring physician, skillful, and very friendly. He tried different drugs and therapeutic options until I became headache-free. His office staff are genuinely nice and helpful. Thank you Dr., Khalil for all your wonderful care and help.

I've been seeing Dr. Khalil for about a year now. I suffer from chronic migraines. In the 20 years of battling my migraines, I've seen countless neurologists. I battled 18 to 20 migraines a month for years with no relief. He has me on an amazing regiment. I may get 1 or 2 migraines a month. If I'm suffer and can't take the pain he will give me injections in the scalp to give me relief. My insurance is currently out of network with his office, but I'm willing to pay the expensive out-of-pocket cost. I will stick with him until he decided to retire on me, but I'm certain he has many more years of practice in him. He came me apart of my life back. I can't ever repay him.

Thanks Dr. Mohamed Thank you for taking care of my case
Thank you, Dr. Khalil. After knowing the cause of migraine, he was able to fight the causes and eliminate the terrible migraine
We had been searching for answers to my Husband’s health issues. Dr Khalil listened to our concerns and provided a very effective treatment plan. The staff at this office are very kind and helpful Thank you. Dr Khalil
Dr Khalil is so awesome. My father in law has been to 3 different Neurologist and on the first visit, just by looking at him and listening to his symptoms, he knew what was wrong and what he needed to do to treat him. My father in law is able to get around so much better now.
One of the worst experiences that I've ever had at a doctor's office. It felt like there were entirely too many people involved with my case- I was also told that I was the one who ordered the wrong MRI by one of the nurses? or assistants- not sure which. Last time I checked it was the doc who ordered them. I went 3-4 times and felt like I spent a lot of time and money to ultimately not get the help I needed in regard to my pituitary tumor. Also, I had set up a payment plan to pay for an out of pocket procedure which they did not draft the money- instead of two months later told me they would be running the card then because whoever did their finances was out for that time and it never got ran. As someone who runs a hospital- that's insanely unprofessional. I did like the front desk girl- always pleasant and accommodating and the gentleman who did my brain wave test was also really great. Do not recommend if you do not have time to sit in the waiting room for hours. Never was seen on time! And once waited for 2 hours and was not even seen by the doctor! The nurse took some notes and that is it. Had to schedule another appointment. Then the doctor ordered injections. The office staff told me that they will check with my insurance and call me back to schedule appointment. Nobody called me back. So I called myself and they told that they are working on my case and it takes time with the insurance. After calling for a month I called my insurance myself and was informed that the injections were covered. So I called back but I was told that only the nurse working with it can schedule the appointment. I was trying to reach the nurse and left messages but nobody responded. After 2 months of trying I gave up and scheduled the appointment with another clinic. Do not recommend if you do not have time to sit in the waiting room for hours. Never was seen on time! He is the best doctor ever
Dr. Khalil is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my shoulder issue but also he is lovely to speak to. It’s very rare to find a doctor like Dr. Khalil his personal touches heal the pain. He and his team take care for a patient as a team with outstanding quality . I highly recommend becoming his patient!
Quite possibly the worst doctors office I have ever experienced. On top of Dr.Khalil’s incompetence to review my case he comes in unprepared, scattered, and late. Though the true downfall of this clinic has to be the staff. These ladies, most importantly Rachel the nurse practitioner are the utmost definition of unprofessional as she lacks to live up to her title. She has been rude, both through verbal and physical communication, in-orderly, and just unpleasant to deal with in general. On top of that the other staff also seem to care more about their personal conversations than helping the patients in a timely manner. Yesterday I waited two full hours to be seen by Rachel to end up not being seen by anyone. She claimed she was going in order of room numbers only to find out she skipped my room in a petty attempt of being selective. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I experienced extremely long wait times at this clinic as my usual wait time averaged about 45 minutes- mind you during the duration of these 45 minutes you are forced to listen to the cackling of the women working behind the front desk. It originally took two weeks to get ahold of this clinic to schedule my first appointment. Two weeks for them to send a referral to another one of my doctors that they recommended themselves. I was told I would be scheduled for a follow up appointment one month after my infusion treatment and was never scheduled. Just an all around bad experience, please save yourself the time and frustration and choose a different office. Quite possibly the worst doctors office I have ever experienced. Dr. Mohamed Khalil treats me for chronic migraine. He is very knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. His My insurance was changed and out of network with him, but I refuse to change doctors. I was hopeful after reading some of the reviews about Dr. Khalil. But to my dismay, the entire process of seeking his treatment and care for my daughter has been a disaster. First his staff over a week to schedule her consultation, then there is always a long hold time to get ahold of someone and they don't respond or call back in time. Then after Dr. Khalil saw her, he was not able to treat her symptoms after ordering countless mri's and performing many steroid infusions, he then said he would refer her fto another neurologist for a second opinion. I waited almost 2-3 weeks for the staff and him to come to a conclusion of where he would refer my daughter. Now after calling this doctors office, I was told he doesn't take anyone under 18. Now again, I'm playing the "leave several messages and no response" game with his staff trying to get to discuss the and get another referral to a doctor who will actually see my daughter. Secondly, during the few times that we actually got to see Dr. Khalil, he was very rude, short and seemed to never be aware of the results for the scans and tests HE ordered for my daughter. He would not remember her name, her case history, nor her condition HE was treating her for. I was hopeful after reading some of the reviews about Dr. Khalil. I think Dr. Khalil is wonderful! He sincerely cares about your well being and is very empathetic. He goes out of his way to get to the root of your problem! From the very first appointment, I have found him and his staff to be first class! He is at the top of my list!
For 20+ years I have been dealing with chronic pain. I have seen many doctors mostly neurologist. They have tested me for every possible disease & disorder. Finally I found Dr. Khalil at Clear Lake Speciality. He did some testing and diagnosed CIDP (Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy ). He suggested I take infusions called IVIG. I started the infusions for 2 days/3-4 hrs per day every 3 weeks. By the end of 4+ months I can honestly say I feel clear of pain. I am off two medications for pain control after all this time. Dr. Khalil is very knowledgeable and really helped my nerve problem. It's been a year and I still have no pain in my leg. The staff is very slow in resolving billing problems. I had a blood test done at Quest in Jan. 2021 and the staff didn't code it correctly so I was charged the entire bill of $836.00. I've called several times and even went in person, but the billing problem still has not been resolved and it's been several months.

He is so professional and kind and will not talk bad to you disrespect you but he's straight to the point and will go the extra mile for his patience
Dr. Khalil was very patient and caring. He listened to my mom and you can tell he truly wants to help her. Probably one of the most caring doctors.
Dr. Khalil and his team have gone above and beyond to diagnose and start the appropriate treatment. Upon getting an accurate diagnosis for the autoimmune issues I was experiencing, the steroid injections helped, the IVIg infusions were what really made the difference. The infusions were like magic! They helped with the weakness, the numbness, the pain, I noticed my cough and sneezes were stronger. My gut issues got better. Dr.Khalil is one of the best doctors,he’s so talent that makes him one of the best in his career, his staff are so courteous and helpful,I always trust his options because it’s always right, from limited symptoms he can give the patient the right diagnosis before requesting any diagnostic test,I’ve been seeing different doctors but when I saw him I realized that he’s the best,I’ve been seeing him for almost 10years.
Dr. Khalil is truly one of the best physicians I've ever interacted with. He's talented and incredibly proficient. We have consulted Dr. Khalil regarding my daughter's early symptoms and he quickly diagnosed her and saved her from losing her sight in her right eye. He knew right away what needed to be done right away when the ER doctors and the hospital's neurologist were unsure how to treat my daughter's Optic Neuritis... Dr. Khalil insisted they administer Solu Medrol (steroid) intravenously and this essential saved my daughter's eye. It could've been too late if it wasn't for Dr. Khalil's experience, knowledge and quick diagnosis. Another time we consulted him regarding my elder sister and likewise, he was right on target when doctors at a teaching hospital in Switzerland didn't even know where to begin. Aside from Dr. Khalil's medical skills, he is kind, exhibits the best bed-side manner and always with a smile on his face. Our family loves Dr. Khalil and appreciate him.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Khalil for about a year. I’ve been trying to find out why I have such bad neuropathy for about 12years. I spoke to him for five minutes and h had the answers. I find him easy to talk to and very jovial, pleasant but Thorough. I’m very happy with my wonderful doctor.
Dr. Khalil is top notch. After several years of not knowing what was wrong, and numerous doctors, Dr.Khalil figured it out. I’ve been in treatment for numerous autoimmune diseases since. He is very patient and caring. He spends the time you need to discuss your various issues and/or concerns.

When I started here several years ago they were on top of it. Today trying to give botox after I called office in April after first round because I had severe reactions. I couldn't believe he was so unaware. New staff, hour wait. Not sure what's going on in his office. Maybe it's age related or scheduling patient overload.
If you like to wait this is the place.
Do not recommend. Wait time is hours which is expected for a specialist, but last time I was forgotten about and sat in the room for over two hours. Dr. Khalil said he was going to check on something for me, and that he’d be back, he never came back. Didn’t even go over my migraine issues for my follow up. I waited an hour and a half after that and the office was beginning to close. I heard the nurses/techs outside the room say “who’s in that room?” And opened the door and had no idea I was still in the room. They left and I then heard them say that they lost my chart as well as forgot I was there. Dr. Khalil has been excellent. His staff is horrible. They do not return calls for appointments. It's hard to get injections ordered. Prescriptions aren't called in to the pharmacy. It's a constant hassle. The receptionist & 2 of the technicians who take you back are great.
The first visit with Dr. Kahlil and the practice went well; his PA talked with my husband, then the PA communicated everything to Dr. Kahlil. Dr. Kahlil came in and spent what we thought was a fair amount of time with my husband, and came up with a treatment plan for his migraines. The follow up visit was like we were in a completely different office. We waited over an hour, the front desk area turned off their lights, put up a sign indicating they were out to lunch, yet we were still waiting on the doctor and there were other patients in the waiting room as well. When we got called back, we felt rushed; Dr. Kahlil spent MAYBE 10 minutes with my husband and we felt he disregarded our questions. He showed some concern about treatments he prescribed not being approved by our insurance, he gave my husband a headache questionnaire to fill out, some samples, and we were respectfully escorted out of the office and told we needed to call back to schedule a follow up. A few weeks later, I got the EOB from our medical insurance and saw the amount billed to our insurance....$400.00. Granted, I know that's not what ends up being paid to him, but $400.00 for MAYBE 10 minutes of "service". I myself have worked in the medical field for over 20 years, turning off the lights while there's patients waiting to be seen is very unprofessional; rushing us through our appointment wasn't what we hoped for either. We left uncertain if we would ever come back....which we have decided we are not. The first visit with Dr. Kahlil and the practice went well; his PA talked with my husband, then the PA communicated everything to Dr. Kahlil. Dr. Kahlil came in and spent what we thought was a fair amount of time with my husband, and came … More
My husband had a 1:30 appointment with Dr. Khalil. We arrived at 1:10 for 1st visit with Dr Khalil. We completed all the paperwork and patiently waited in the waiting room expecting to be called back to see the Doctor. Many people came in & were called back of which several completed their visit and left. We continued waiting until 2:30 then informed the desk girl we were leaving. She did not response so we left. A very unpleasant experience. We were there based on a referral from another Doctor. My husband had a 1:30 appointment with Dr. Khalil. We arrived at 1:10 for 1st visit with Dr Khalil. Excellent doctor. My father was is doing very well after he was evaluate by Dr Khalil. I am very grateful to God for putting dr Khalil in my father care.
Dr. Khalil practices science based medicine with a strong human touch. He compassionately cared for my aged mother, affording her much dignity during the time she was his patient.
I have been a patient for Dr. Khalil for over four weeks. I came in with loss of motor sensation on both my arms. Dr. Khalil IMMEDIATELY knew the problem after seeing a coterie of other doctors. He effectively managed me and realized I had a cervical spine injury that were causing my pain/motor loss. I have recovered ever since. THANK YOU DOCTOR KHALIL!!! The best neurologist ever! Dr. Khalil listens, and answers questions in English, as opposed to doctor speak. He only orders tests that are necessary. When we went to have MRIs, the lady there told me he's the doctor she'd want if she needed one. He makes us feel comfortable and we're confident in his ability. The best!

He is the most caring and empathetic Doctor in this facility. He actually will listen to you and even answer questions. He is a good man that will do everything in his power to try to figure your issue out. Unlike some other doctors he is not arrogant. Even when he is very busy he takes time to really care for his patients. He doesn’t rush you out. He is a wonderful Doctor. If I could I would give him 10 stars. Dr. Khalil immediately diagnosed the need for treatment of spasticity and nerve activation. His truly cares about my progress. I am glad he is leading my journey to recover; and am grateful that my journey led me to him.
I have experienced pain for a long time due to fibromyalgia. I have seen many doctors and taken many medications with little to no relief until my visit with Dr. Khalil. He did a complete assessment and recommended steroid shots in my neck and lower back. For the first time in years my pain is finally not waking me up at night. I feel like a normal person again. Thank you Dr. Khalil.
He is a doctor that spent a least 45 minutes explaining everything and answering every question my husband and I had. He was very very good at explaining and had a very good bedside manner. His nurse is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend.
I had an appointment with Dr. Khalil today but I never got to see him due to his rude receptionist. I have UHC insurance and he is in the network. UHC has waived referrals and copays until September 30th. I was asked for my referral upon checkin in with the receptionist. I explained to her about the waivers. I even showed her proof online. After checking with someone in the back she finally accepted my referral but insisted I had to pay the $40.00 copay, even when I showed her it is also waived by UHC. I refused to pay and told her I would report this to UHC and said I would find another doctor. Dr. Khalil needs a new receptionist who know what she is doing.
If I could give this office a Zero I would. My husband is active duty military and he went with me to my appointment. I have serious nerve damage and this was the last test I need for my surgery. When we walked into the office the receptionist was very rude! She rolled her eyes and was very condescending and I was unable to be seen since I didnt have an insurance card. My spouse has been active for 12 years now and we have never had one. His ID has always been enough and for them to flat out not allow me to be seen is ridiculous!! The Dr is wonderful, but he seems to be either understaffed or the staff is clueless. Only one person capable of doing insurance forms? A test ordered STAT took three weeks to get done. Had to stay on the phone with my insurance company and the one person in the entire office who can do the paperwork, and is also doing the diagnostic tests. Called several times and was told pre approval was done for an at home test and it never was. Then the incorrect coding was given during my hour and half call with insurance and office. Had to move the test to the following week again because of the incompetence. Uses companies that are out of network or more then others, medications that are compounds and not covered. Long wait times for diagnostic tests as again understaffed. Look...Doctors offices nowadays take forever to see the Dr for 5 minutes and he or she are walking backwards out the door as they speak to you. If the staff does not try and make your experience less aggravating then they need to go or at least be educated on compassion and insurance procedures.
