Dr Hecht is very thorough but very disorganized, as is the front staff. Unfortunately I would not recommend this practice.

Amazing staff, caring and kind - Dr. Hecht is truly one of a kind.

Great doctor. Dr. Hecht doesn't fool around. If you want a doctor to sugarcoat things and go on to say your glucose levels at 170 or your blood pressure of 210/180 is fine then this is not the doctor for you. I see a lot of comments stating "He told me I was fat and at risk!" or "He told me I have health problems." Well let's be realistic, he's just being honest, and he's probably correct, which is what a doctor should be doing. I've been to many doctors that look at my bloodwork and joke around, not really providing value. I much prefer the blunt, honest, cut/dry statement from Dr. Hecht. He doesn't waste my time, I don't waste his, makes professional sense to me. To sum up, Dr. Hecht and his staff are amazing, been going here for years. If I ever move I will miss him and his staff, and i'll have to hunt for a similar doctor elsewhere.

Dr. Hecht has been my physician for over 20 years. He is highly skilled and very knowledgeable about all ailments. He is also a caring, detail-oriented, precise person. I know from first-hand conversation that he stays current with all new medical information in his field, through continuing education courses. I also know that he is rated one of the top doctors in all of Atlanta – you can see the awards on his office walls. He is friendly and approachable. His office staff are also exceptionally good. I used to be with Kaiser and they were terrible-- since having Dr. Hecht as my doctor, I have always been very pleased. Dr. Hecht has been my physician for over 20 years. The worst service. Front office staff very ride. Messed up my blood report. Was asked to do again. Blood coming out of my hand. Was hurting for two days. Scared to go to this doctor

Highly recommend Dr Hecht and his staff! He was very thorough, dedicated plenty of time to answer all my questions and his staff were incredibly personable, helpful and friendly.

Dr. Hecht, Dee and Geri are absolutely the best of the best! Nicest people.

The absolute BEST doctors office. His office is 45 minutes away, but I would not dare go somewhere else. I was feeling sick for years and every doctor I went to just wrote me off, after several blood work ups, he found my problem. Doing so much better now all thanks to Dr. Hecht and his amazing staff! They really do care! ????????????

Great visit, and staff. Dee was the best and always has been a great asset to Dr. Hecht, and her patients.

I feel the need to warn you to not see this doctor. He spoke over me and interrupted the few times he actually asked me any questions. He was condesending and never asked me why I was there to see him in the first place. (Not that I felt he would have listened anyway) He will insist on a full physical for new patients but did not disclose what that entailed. He would go off on random, inappropriate tangents related to health issues I could possibly have. (Keep in mind I had never seen this doctor before and had no bloodwork or test results to go over, it was all speculative on his part, not very professional) His office staff are pleasant, but what does that matter when the doctor, himself, is so off-putting that I declined any further appointments. I have been going to Dr. Hecht for over 20 years. (My wife and two sons also see him). He has been terrific and his staff is second to none. I can't imagine many others being as consistent.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hecht as my PCP since moving to Atlanta over 25 years ago. In my opinion, he is an outstanding Internist. He takes the time to listen and is by far, the most detailed and thorough physician I have ever seen. Whatever my problem has been over the years, Dr. Hecht has been able to figure it out and help me feel better. And, trust me, it wasn’t always easy! But, I always knew I’ve been in good hands. The team/office staff, Dee and Jerri have been wonderful too. Over the years that I have been a patient of this medical practice, they’ve assisted me with items such as calling in medication refills to faxing paperwork on my behalf to my office when requested. And, it never ceases to amaze me how they remember so much about me and my family with all the patients they see each day. It makes me feel like I’ve found a doctor’s office that actually cares. The compassion and authenticity shown has been consistent all these years, and it’s greatly appreciated!

Waited over 40 minutes where they just left me unattended in the exam room. Rude treatment by the front staff (especially Dee). When my lab and blood tests come back the non-medical receptionist reviews the reports with the patient. Very bizarre. I do not recommend this office. Bad (obnoxious) attitudes.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hecht for 20+ years! I’ve moved to Gwinnett county but still keep him as my primary doctor! He is the best of the best!!

Dr. Hecht is the best doctor out there. He is very thorough and his entire staff is incredible (Dee and Jerri are superstars!).

This primary care physician and his office support team are amazing and exceed my expectations every time I call or visit! I’ve been a longtime patient of Dr. Hecht and what impresses me most is how well I feel he listens and tries to problem solve with me. He offers solutions and options that make sense and when you’re sitting across from him you can feel he really wants to help you feel better. You don’t feel rushed at this practice. You feel appreciated and the front office team of Dee and Gerri will take their time and get to know you. I think they’re just outstanding! When you need a refill, or have a question—those gals are on it immediately! If they have samples of any of your medications to offer, they always let you know. That’s very appreciated! It’s so important to be able to open up and talk with your doctor about your health and personal goals. This is a doctor you can feel at ease talking with who is always going to be solution focused with you. I highly recommend this physician and his office team! I am a patient of Dr. Hecht for 2 years. I discovered him through my insurance portal and cross referenced it with numerous positive reviews. In my time as a patient at Dr. Hecht's office, I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Hecht and his staff. I rarely have to wait, and when I do it is never for more than 5 minutes. The staff is always very pleasant and accomodating. In the day and age of physicians spending less time with their patients, Dr. Hecht always spends at least 15 minutes with me. My husband and I are SO HAPPY that we found Dr. Hecht and established him as our PCP. He is very thorough and knowledgeable and has managed our care to a T for the last 6 months. We LOVE his staff too!! They are ALWAYS pleasant, prompt and accommodating!! I would recommend Dr. Hecht for anyone who is looking for long-term primary care.

Outstanding. Practices medicine the old fashioned way - client focused. Dr. Hecht has the most efficienct and hardests working physicians assitants (Jerri and Dee) I have ever experienced in a doctors office. Efficient friendly, professional. Best of all, your medical records are safe at this office!

Dr.Hecht is thorough professional and he really gets into why it is not happening, if some blood test result doesn't go right. Have been visiting for past 4 years!

Been seeing Dr Hecht for several years. He is a nice person. He is not a "touchy feely" type of doctor but he is very knowledgeable, concerned, conscientious. He stays up to date with medicine. I would much prefer an efficient doctor than one who is is all talk and no action or one that listens to your heart and lungs, spends the rest of the time on the computer and calls that a "physical exam". I also appreciate that he is an independent practitioner - large organization does not run office!

I love Dr Hecht! He is very through, and is very concerned with his patients and their health.

Dr. Hecht is the best primary care physician I've ever had, and I have a chronic condition so I've had many. You may have to wait awhile, but you'll know why when it's your turn: he's very thorough, really listens to you and offers his opinions. His staff is also amazing. Dee, the office manager, is incredibly helpful with paperwork; I can call her from the radiologist or phlebotomist and she will fax them my lab orders within the half hour. Jerri, the nurse or PA, I am not sure of her designation, but she is awesome. I will call at any time and leave a message about a prescription I need filled, and she will get back to me as soon as business hours start. I love this place so much that I still go there even though I have moved across town...and they're happy to work with the labs, pharmacies, specialists, etc. near me! Amazing, patient-centered care. I've been with Dr. Hecht for more than 20+years. I've relocated three times and now live about 80 miles from the office. He's stern but I like him. I say it like he says, "people come to me because I'm thorough," that he is. If you can't handle the truth then don't go to him because you Will get the hard truth. He's a keeper. My sons are patients of his, too. Wouldn't trade him for the world.

Dr. Hecht and his staff have been great. He definitely tells you how it is but you aren't going to see a doctor cause your feeling great, so suck it up! His staff has been on the ball. I saw him on a Monday and had tests, answers and more appointments with specialists scheduled within days of that visit. I appreciate their time in trying to get me where I am best suited to find the right answers.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hecht. He has treated my family, our neighbors, even my boss & her husband. We all had different issues and he figured them all out and sent us to specialists in the area that was needed. We all are better now because of him. They never turn me away if I need a quick appointment & they have helped me through some difficult times. I highly recommend his entire staff.

Dr Hecht is very professional and he is to the point and hard hitting. You get very valuable advice. The lady at the front desk who takes on the phone calls is so untrust worthy, lying about everything. Right from the charges to explaining about the charges, she just tries to get around for that moment of time and does not care for explaining well or spending time. Be straight an honest on specifics and one can understand, just don't try to say anything that comes to mind to get around.

Dr. Hecht and his staff are really dedicated to the health of their patients. I can call for a prescription to be called to my pharmacy or a lab requisition to be sent to Quest and it will be done within the hour. If call with an urgent health issue, they will either make time to see me that day or call ahead to an urgent care clinic in my area to let them know the situation. Dr. Hecht himself can be a bit brisk in his manner, but that's just his way; when it matters, he really cares.

Dr. Hecht is extremely thorough. He orders tons of bloodwork looking at every imaginable thing. If you want a doctor who will give you the cold, hard facts - he's your guy. His direct style may not be for everyone. He pulls no punches on his advice about alcohol consumption, weight, etc. But he is honest and an investigator into your health.
