Mitchell David Burnbaum

Loss of bladder control, tongue and cheek numbness, leg weakness, tremors, issues swallowing and migraines are not ALL caused by anxiety. He didn’t find the cause and seemed unconcerned.

I have mixed feelings about Dr. Burnbaum's approach & will not return. I had numbness twitching in all 4 limbs & a family history of nervous system disorders. I wanted his input & a test for auto-antibodies. When I explained where I experienced pain he said "that's not anatomically correct", which felt dismissive. He tested for a pinched nerve in my right arm and right leg and was frustrated that I was wearing skinny jeans that made leg test difficult. I did not realize I needed to dress a certain way for my visit. At the end of the visit, he told me I should consider anti-depressants, which threw me for a loop. I asked him to order the auto-antibody test anyhow and declined anti-depressants. Now I'm stuck with a $465 bill (after insurance) for the other tests that did not reveal anything. I'm sure he has a reason for the approach, but it wasn't well explained. I would have declined had I known they were that expensive without being able to give any answers about all 4 of my limbs.

Worst Dr I have ever dealt with he missed a test, tried to prescribe a drug for me to take without seeing me for a follow up after the tests he ran never even told my what the prescription drug was for that his secretary told me he prescribed, I wouldn't suggest anyone to go see him. Dr. Burnbaum cares for you, and your health! He can be blunt when needed, to make sure you understand what the heck is going on. If you can't take it, then you'll need to look elsewhere. However, if you want to get over your hurdle, he is the doctor for you.

Dr is efficient and thorough. He takes his time and explains the procedure as he goes through it. Dr Burnbaum is excellent and makes the process as painless as possible. I would recommend him and return to him for further procedures.

Best MS DOCTOR IN WESTERN COLORADO. Other neurologist have no clue.

Dr. Burnbaum visited me in ICU numerous times after hours and stayed much later the first evening to read results that confirmed his initial suspicion of a rare neurological disorder. This allowed me to start a course of treatment the next morning. He is a detail oriented, thorough, professional and knowledgeable expert. His staff at the office are caring professionals. I am lucky to have him as my neurologist. Horrible bed side manner. Did not read my charts and referrals for the reason I was there. Uncompassionate and uncaring. Shut us down when we asked questions. I would never, ever recommend this neurologist services! Go elsewhere! I was quickly diagnosed at another facility and with proper treatment, almost back to 100% with lifestyle changes and meds.

Dr. Burnbaum treated my mother while she was in St. Mary's Hospital for severe headaches. His experience and expertise enabled him to diagnosis the cause of the headaches.

I thought he was professional. Had good bedside manners. Dealt with my stroke professionally.

I found Dr. Burnbaum to be very kind, meticulous and thorough. He explained his findings to me in a way that I could understand. I have already highly recommended him to several friends and health care providers.

Dr. Burnbaum is a very good doctor. He doesn't mince words so it's easy to understand what he's saying. I'm a confident person and have no problems expressing myself and asking questions. He may not be for everyone (based on some of the other reviews), but I think he's very smart and compassionate. He takes the time to answer any concerns. His staff is great, too. Dr. Burnbaum is a detail oriented, intellectual factual professional. His bedside manner reflects this. If you want a feel good, tell you what you want to hear, Dr. Burnbaum is not for you. My experience with Dr. Mitchell Burnbaum was and is always wonderful. He is very knowledgeable of his specialty and dedicated to his patients. He is always willing to answer my questions at my visits and after hours with a return phone call when I have additional questions. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends. His office staff is also great. They are always very helpful and a pleasure to be around.

Dr. Burnbaum and his staff are all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. He has been my neurologist for several years now and has always provided the absolute best care, and I believe, best advice and treatment during every visit and for every issue. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is encyclopedic, treats the whole person, and takes the time to be caring even while maintaining a very efficient office then Dr.Burnbaum is someone you should consider visiting!

I have gone to two other neurologist and was disappointed in diagnosis. treatment, and information not provided. Dr Burnbaum left feeling I knew so much more about illness and what treatments. A very pleasant man.

He spent a fair amount of time with me, discussed options and recommendations. Well worth the drive from Moab.

Incompetent jerks. First appointment 4 wks out and I was added to the cancellation list. 2 wks later, office called for the doctor unplanned vacation, changed to 4 wks out again. Sent a letter to the doctor summarizing condition and prior investigation and treatment. No one in the office including the doctor read it. Office called 5 days before the appointment to clarify, 3 days before to request releases and 2 days before to suggest I reschedule - 4 wks out AGAIN. Canceled.
